I can't bloomin' wait for JADOAT Jack. Nice one on completing a big stage in your life. I've got what I think is a pretty decent idea for a sitcom... maybe we should chat through it and see if it's something you'd like to get involved with?
Hey jack elevator pitch for you: Man owes a library a million pounds. I'm thinking daniel j layton as the lead, we could get tim H to direct, just hit me up for more details.
idk how to describe it but i love when you are reviewing movies and when you discuss the techniques they used in the film that made you love it. i think you should make some videos talking about techniques (like the cinematography or the directing or the music score behind it) because i know literally nothing about movies because it always amazes me when you see all the techincal and well-thought out work thats being done behind the scenes. i never notice it and i wish i could.
i'd LOVE to hear more about the behind the scenes stuff and the writing stuff and the filming stuff and the company stuff and idk man i wanna hear about everything. this kind of stuff is my jam
+em ro Yeah, as a budding writer I'd be really interested in that. Maybe you could do a video where you talk to us about a fairly typical process (though I appreciate it might not always be like that) and maybe answer some email questions if people have specific ones? Separately, I remember in a collab video (I think with Daniel) a while ago you said you'd be really interested if Sam Mendez opened up a forum discussion about Skyfall. If others are interested after watching your series maybe that's something you'd like to think about doing? I know I'd join in.
My aunt is in rehab right now because she's had to have her hip replaced. So once you have your hip replaced, they put you in a psychological kind of rehabilitation faciliity. And in the first of her rehab sessions, she was asked if she had any questions. Her question was: "Can I take the hip bone home? My dog really likes bones so I was gonna give him the bone they took out of me.".... WHO DOES THAT?? Just please wright a sketch around that.
The Jessica Hines shpiel is so good. / I love hearing about everyone's writing process. It reinforces how everyone works a different way. Super interesting. / It's the pendulum! It's the post-production depression, dude! As soon as there's downtime, the depression floods in. Then you said Hazel already told you this. But I'd already typed it, so... There we are.
Incredibly excited for this! And I would absolutely love to hear more about the writing process. I find the behind the scenes and conception process (I guess you'd call it?) so very interesting. Looking forward to those videos if you've got time for them! I complete understand that slump feeling you were experiencing. At the same time, as someone from an outside perspective, I think you're doing amazingly. Making great content at a high quality. If this is what being a fraud is we need more frauds. Ordinary sized thumbs up from me.
I just burst into tears. I feel like you just crawled into my head and repeated everything I've been thinking for the past few months. My creativity has been at an all time low, and I've been going through depression and anxiety. I have received so many compliments on my work and been told how talented I am, and in all honestly, I feel like a complete fraud. Everything they're talking about was done before I felt like this and I'm just trapped inside my head so much that I can't create anything. I've also put on so much weight I've gone up a dress size or two which doesn't seem like a big deal but it's pulling me further down into this dark fog. There's a gym in my building that I've been too scared to go to since I put on weight (kind of defeats the point of the gym) but fuck it, I'm gonna go today. Thanks Jack.
I just want you to know how refreshing and inspiring it is when you so openly and honestly share your feelings and doubts. Also, you deserve all of the success you are receiving! You are not a fraud!! If you ever doubt your talent just look at all of us fans who have been supporting you for years.
Jack I found out last week that I got my first filming job with the BBC and it was thanks to you had I had the guts and inspiration to go for it. Please don't ever feel low because you inspire me and so many others so don't worry if you have creative lows, it just makes you human. Stay strong x
OMG JACK CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I'm genuinely sooooo proud of you and Dean. And yes, please talk about the entire process of creating a show. I think it's very interesting.
Jesus Christ Jack you hit the spot right here. I've been sitting around just doing nothing and feeling like shit because I was doing nothing, but these little tidbits in your video make me want to do something again. Also, I would love to see some production and post process if you're ever willing to share. Getting 'lessons' from people who you respect and do what you want to do always, always help.
could we get like an undedited video of you talking about behind the scenes of making the series? it would be really interesting! love your stuff! keep going :D
Good for you Jack, it can be so hard to come out of a slump. I like going to the gym because I find that it adds some structure and balance to my typical university kid life, as well as the physical and mental health benefits. Really excited to see this series!
Yeah I would like to know more about your writing process :) I can't believe you have a series, and with Jessica Hynes! I loved Spaced. I'm really happy for you :D
yes to hearing about your writing process, yes to more film recommendations, yes to any advice on directing you can give us. essentially anything film related would be fantastic xxx
I know all about the "from dream to nothing syndrome" .. happens to the best of us I suppose.. Glad to hear you got through it & I'm super hyped for the show! Take Care and be careful you don't get too ripped at the gym :) - Jay
I'd love to hear more about the writing process and anything to do with the series. Seeing someone talk about something they are passionate about is very interesting and entertaining especially when it is something like this which is completely foreign to my own life and experience :)
Please feel free to make as many videos as you want about the creative process - I know loads of us would lap it up! This video was perfect because I leave my shitty, soul-sucking job in 2.5 weeks to leap into the unknown and try and pursue acting. I've been so excited until I gave notice and BAM, all the self-doubt dragged me into a pit of despair. In January I got the chance to live my ultimate life dream of playing Glinda in Wicked at an experience day, and going back to my retail job after that was soul-destroying. I've decided recently though, to think of the best 3 achievements in my life, and see how many were because of me actively doing it. 1/3 isn't great so that (along with you, Hazel, Dan and Carrie) is my main inspiration to keep fighting to live my dreams. Huh. Emotional out-pour over.
Please just talk about what you love I film, your series, anything in film. It's nice to see people actually care about film and talk about what you love. I'm in a crap environment with very little film support so please just talk about what you love. It's really easy and it feels like a conversation 😍
Film Film Film - TALK - ABOUT - FILMS. I cannot get enough of people who talk about films. TALK ABOUT FILMS, wether that be reccomendations, reviews or general opinions. Talk About Films. please
Also where can we watch the series?! Is it free or do we need to pay? Bc I'm poor right now aha, can barely pay food& rent but would love to watch your show!
Please please please tell us more about your writing process and please make more videos like these. I love to hear you rambling on about real things like the black hole that comes after a high perfect cloud of creativity. I'm so happy for you, to hear that you're doing what truly makes you happy. it's inspiring
I'm just glad to know that someone who's been making things for years still experiences the doubt and uncertainty that I feel now. Well, not glad, but it makes creative ventures seem less daunting knowing that things I feel now will never _really_ go away. (The imposter syndrome, doubt, etc.) I'd be interested to hear about the writing process, and thanks for the uplifting words at the end. I think we all need to hear that from time to time :)
I'm pretty sure we all love you're 'rambling messes' Jack, because you don't realise but we actually just enjoying hearing you talk about things you love and letting us in to your stream of consciousness. That's all it is man, it never has to be fancy with a torchlight-in-a-pretentious-position-flare. X
I know that feeling that's why I just keep working. I came off of my last short film and starting working on the next. I know that post-production blues. I try and run from it!! Ahhhhaahhh
That's awesome. I'd love to hear more about the process and what all changed from conception to final product. What were some of your worst ideas for the series that you now look back on and think "I'm so glad we didn't put that in there!"
The gym is a great place for random daydreams! My personal favorite is: how could I use everything in this gym to survive during the zombie apocalypse?
ooh! Definitely make more videos about creating the series. It'd be really good to hear more detail about the whole process, but particularly the writing- from idea to finished script.
It's stuff like this that makes me write the name, "Jack Howard" as my inspiration for those little introduction questionnaires we fill out at college in the new quarter to get to know our classmates. Always working hard and putting yourself into everything you do, you are one of my inspirations.
yes! please talk about your writing process. I tend to have lots of ideas but struggle to compile them. I find bouncing ideas off friends a very productive activity but most of all I find documented writing processes from people I find inspiring very inspiring. I would really find it great!
Mmm... Creative juices...
Hey!!!!! I love you!!! Xxxx
I said "Whaaaaaaat" at the same time as you
Mac your everywhere these days. Like I just saw you comment on another video the other day. It's starting to get creepy .....
+MacDoesIt mac mac mac
I love you omg 😂❤️
YES MAC
+MacDoesIt Maaaaccccc I love your videos :D
I can't bloomin' wait for JADOAT Jack. Nice one on completing a big stage in your life.
I've got what I think is a pretty decent idea for a sitcom... maybe we should chat through it and see if it's something you'd like to get involved with?
PLEASE do a video on the writing process! i beg!!!!!
OH GOD I'D LOVE TO SEE THAT
Yes, please talk about the writing process!!!
Hey jack elevator pitch for you:
Man owes a library a million pounds.
I'm thinking daniel j layton as the lead, we could get tim H to direct, just hit me up for more details.
+Joel Pickard only if I can direct with Tim
+JackHoward now's not the time to negotiate, Jack; that idea was pure gold, I tell ya.
+JackHoward You also need to involve Ben Cook in it in some vaguely unknown ways probably including acting.
+Joel Pickard I think I would be quite good if you had a twist ending and kill one of the main characters.
Wow. That's on another level
I'd love to hear about the writing process
oh yes, the writing process sounds really interesting. I would be down for an hour long writing process.
Also, I hope some day I get to write a role for "somebody like Jack Howard, but obviously not actually Jack Howard"...
I like when you make videos like this, I miss you man
It's alright Benjy, things can only get Webber
I would love to hear about the writing process!
idk how to describe it but i love when you are reviewing movies and when you discuss the techniques they used in the film that made you love it. i think you should make some videos talking about techniques (like the cinematography or the directing or the music score behind it) because i know literally nothing about movies because it always amazes me when you see all the techincal and well-thought out work thats being done behind the scenes. i never notice it and i wish i could.
I would love to hear some in-depth things about pre-production and writing :D
i'd LOVE to hear more about the behind the scenes stuff and the writing stuff and the filming stuff and the company stuff and idk man i wanna hear about everything. this kind of stuff is my jam
Can't wait for this series!
Do you have the date in June that it'll be released yet?:)
No worries if you can't tell us this early on
+Mikeisnotsosmooth I will tell you. When I know the exact date :)
+em ro Yeah, as a budding writer I'd be really interested in that. Ha! Hey that's how editing works. I'm so used to it...It was a fun time sir! Plus... all the sushi!
I like how this was all a very long tangent to tell us you'd joined a gym
Incredibly excited for this! And I would absolutely love to hear more about the writing process. I find the behind the scenes and conception process (I guess you'd call it?) so very interesting. Looking forward to those videos if you've got time for them!

Ordinary sized thumbs up from me.
Yes Jack, I want ALL of the things you mentioned. Behind the scenes, film recommendations, everything!
I just burst into tears. I feel like you just crawled into my head and repeated everything I've been thinking for the past few months. I MUST KNOW THE WRITING PROCESS
I'd love to hear about your writing process.

I would love to hear more about the writing process, and generally the behind-the-scene process in general.
Yes please do a writing process video. I want to be a writer for tv dramas, comedies and things like that so that would be super useful.
Please go into the writing process :D
PLEASE talk about the writing process, especially how writing a one-off sketch differs from writing for a longer series. Can't wait to see the show!
TELL US EVERYTHING ABOUT THE ENTIRE PROCESS PLEASE
Into this.
I'd definitely love to know more about the intricacies of the logistics of the project
could we get like an undedited video of you talking about behind the scenes of making the series? it would be really interesting! love your stuff! keep going :D

Goodness gracious Jack, i feel this odd sense of pride for you. I'm honestly proud. WELL DONE

The gym is a great place for random daydreams! My personal favorite is: how could I use everything in this gym to survive during the zombie apocalypse?
Nothing makes me happier than this video. Actually scratch that, the actual series would make me happier, I can't wait to see it!

I'd love to know more about the process behind the series. The writing, in particular.
It's stuff like this that makes me write the name, "Jack Howard" as my inspiration for those little introduction questionnaires we fill out at college in the new quarter to get to know our classmates. Always working hard and putting yourself into everything you do, you are one of my inspirations.
A series on your favourite films and a series on how ...All Trades was made and I'll be happy.
I find it interesting when you talk about films and making them, because i'm doing film studies for GCSE so it helps.
