Nothing at all against this amazing video, but am I mistaken in thinking that I remember a video of this that was somewhat better quality, and I think shot from offstage on the right side? Maybe it’s my old age mixing things up lol
I was at this show. I went for Brand New (like everyone I think) and KD as Manchester was pretty much unknown by 95% of people there it seemed like and THEY FUCKIN BLEW MY MIND. I bought "I'm Like a Virgin Losing a Child" after their set and talked with Andy for a few minutes and it's still one of my all time favorite records and this set was still one of the best live performances of anyone I've ever seen. I've been trying to find a decent quality video of this forever !! The nostalgia is so real haha id love to be 16 again and back at this show 😔
@@joshuavanhee4844 I would give anything to be able to go back in time and see any of these guys in their prime but especially Kevin Devine. It's awesome you got to see them here all together. I saw Manchester last year in Orlando and their encore song was this one.. and I absolutely lost my mind... It was incredible. I might have it on my TH-cam channel but I don't think I do, I might try to post it in time for you to read this 😅 But I do want to brag that I was just able to see Kevin Devine at a literal HOUSE show, put on by a company called Undertow, in the living room of a friend's house from his patreon, with less than 40 people, sitting on the carpet 4 ft away from him. It was absolutely surreal. He is my favorite artist of all time. I really hope as a fellow KD fan that you're able to make it to one of his undertow shows, he may be still doing some more of them this year, but if not he will definitely be doing more in the future and I really hope you will go. I wish Manchester would do some of them as well. I always say I'm very lucky that my favorite artist is so unpopular because I get to hug him and talk to him at every show, it's kind of rare that bigger bands like Manchester would do that type of show.

These guys, Manchester Devine and Brand New, have put on the best show i've seen so far. I love how they brought Everybody out onto the stage to play this song.
The harmony between the two voices is really good. Seriously. This might be the only group of people I'd pay to see scream at the top of their lungs. Without microphones. That's gotta be therapeutic. Lol.
Manchester Orchestra - Like a Virgin losing a child. The whole album. The most riveting, depressing, hard hitting album I've ever listened to and still their best work.
I saw Manchester Orchestra in 2007 at The Leeds Festival and there was hardly anyone watching them apart from me and my mate. Then Kevin Devine came on and sang the last big of tis song. They knocked the microphone over and just sabg from the top of their lung...It weas just one them moment where words cannot describe!
i definetly LOVED this performance with BN and Kevin Devine when i saw you live! I hope all you guys will have a tour together again soon, really soon!
the intensity and the passion that they put in the song... everytime I watch it I can't wrap my head around how much they MEAN every single note they play and every lyric they sing. It's so mind numbingly fucking awesome to me.
No better moment in a live show than when he lowers the mic to scream these lyrics into the crowd...so amazing live. Grows on you the longer you are away from it.
I always long for the day that my group of friends who are all in bands, mash up on stage one day and play one of the songs that captivated our youth. So much talent on one stage. So much energy in one video.
I remember this show. This was my first time to hear Manchester and this song, and it was hands down one of the most stunning performances I have ever witnessed.
Beautiful. I had the shivers during the entire 'where have you been portion'.. By far one of the best concerts I've been to.. Looking forward to seeing them again very soon in Green Bay and Chicago.
I actually love how it drops out right at the same time as the last note would sound. It's like we're being sucked in. Great vid. Great to see that passion live. Just amazing
sound drops out like rightbefore the end of the song. sad :( ps. awesome show in denver on monday. you guys are amazing and sweet and i hope you like us as much as we like you!
Nothing this amazing music wise will happen again in my lifetime. Ever. And I'm okay with that. 3 drummers just beating the shit out of those drums...jesse fucking lacey..andy hull screaming. Holy shit 13 years ago was fucking awesome.
jesse's scream at 4:54 makes my heart physically hurt, in a good way. i just fucking love this more than i can even say! the only thing is it seems like jesse wasnt really sure when to say "god my god" or hold out the "god" and whatnot if you watch his mouth and he adds a little "been" at the end hahaha. still will never get over the drumming in this and how much emotion andy always shows in live performances!
All these years later I still come back to this video. One of their best live performances.

If I could, I would go back to 07 and just live through this tour over and over again. Such a great combination, such a great tour.
I will never get tired of watching this. Ever. Most intense thing in the world.
this is definately the best song and performance ever.
The harmony between the two voices is really good. Seriously. This might be the only group of people I'd pay to see scream at the top of their lungs. Without microphones. That's gotta be therapeutic. Lol.
This gave me the chills. Epic.
mmmm. their voices just combine so well. chills. =]
Goosebumps. Only word to describe this.
This song is so powerful, it's insane.
Manchester Orchestra - Like a Virgin losing a child. The whole album.
The most riveting, depressing, hard hitting album I've ever listened to and still their best work.
i just cannot fathom how any band can be so good! and its harder to understand how there are 2 bands that good out there
Near tears. Holy fuck. Andy and Jesse screaming "God, my god, where exactly have you been?" really hits me. Fantastic performance as always.
I think my heart just exploded.
This video should have 10 million views
they sound amazing live.
wow.

five years later and i'm still fucking enthralled by this video. so pissed i missed this tour
this is actually the most amazing thing i have EVER seen.
Awesome! I love Manchester Orchestra and performing on the stage with Brand New is a Knockout combo!!!!
the intensity and the passion that they put in the song... everytime I watch it I can't wrap my head around how much they MEAN every single note they play and every lyric they sing. It's so mind numbingly fucking awesome to me.
what a ride.
this is why manchester, kevin devine and brand new are my favorite bands
No better moment in a live show than when he lowers the mic to scream these lyrics into the crowd...so amazing live. Grows on you the longer you are away from it.
i was at this show and it was probably one of the best ones ive ever been to.
I always long for the day that my group of friends who are all in bands, mash up on stage one day and play one of the songs that captivated our youth. So much talent on one stage. So much energy in one video.
dear god, i can hardly handle how amazing this is
One of my FAV versions of this song!!! and having it come back, WOW!!!!!
wish there was a soundboard of this....it's sooooo fkn good
Nothing is as good as this, it's nice hearing someone actually manage to sound as good as this live, it's better than the studio version.
Sweet Jesus. I've died and entered a musical wonderland.
I remember this show. This was my first time to hear Manchester and this song, and it was hands down one of the most stunning performances I have ever witnessed.
Speechless.
also the BN, MO and KD tours will never get old!
