At night, the best way to maximise light into the sensor is to turn off stabilisation, shoot in 24 or 25 FPS and manually set your shutter speed to 1/25 or its lowest setting. This isn’t going to work well if you’re performing an action. It’s really just for mounted shots or vlogging. Hope this helps 🤘🏽

Can’t believe all these social media bloggers nowadays when AC3 has focusing issues which is a physical problem which can’t be solve with firmware updates. There are other TH-cam videos which clearly shows the actual problem. We don’t need another video about promoting AC3 features but what we need is DJI recalling back all their broken product and acknowledge it’s a problem. Biggest drone company in the world but not willing to admit their mistakes is a no go for me. AC2 had heat issues which is still bearable as it still churn out sharp crispy videos. Even my DJI retailer advise me not to purchase just yet until the 3rd batch. 😂😂😂

Hi, I recently came across your youtube channel. I am really excited about your work. I am very interested to see how the DJI OA3 will perform and I look forward to every next video. It's clear to me that DJI has been pushing the release date and a few more updates will be necessary before the camera settles down. But comparable competition with GoPro will certainly bring benefits to fans of this brand.
Very nice job in starting us out however maybe you should just show us how to turn it on and take some basic pictures and film. All those settings tend to confuse older people like me lol. Btw the plant to your right I was looking closely at it. Has it ever bloomed? I believe it’s in the family what we call NIGHT BLOOMING CERUS. Yes only blooms at night, only last for one night. The most I’ve ever had in one night was 22 on three different plants. My dad started them somewhere around 45 years ago.

Actually I do think to view videos relating Beginners Guide for all action cameras can be VERY helpful….for beginners because you always do a bunch of remarks/reminders/beside comments/recommendations about VLOG/Points of View/Cinematic settings, Editing and so on, which do apply whatever the camera you have. 🙃In fact the presentation of your videos perfectly illustrates your mastery for the realization and the assembly of the videos and the insertion of an appropriate background sound and therefore of an optimal use of an action camera whatever the functionality. So I did start by reading some about DJI Osmo Action 3 and did realize this is also interesting to know about the others even if there is no need/desire to buy a new cam. Your analyze of the User Interface provided for DJI Action 3 did make me to think about revisiting some that one I have with the Gopro which is a good point actually. 😉
Really helpful and your enthusiasm is great. One quick question .... my on off switch is really difficult to use in fact I have to use my nail to get some pressure ... do you think this is right ??

You said you like do videos in 4K as you post in TH-cam? Will it not make the FILE SIZE too BIG? Can you tell me, if you do 1 min video in 1080p and 4k what the file size is in both case. What different it will make of you do it as 1080p Vs 4K? who watch TH-cam in 4k? Because it will eat up all their mobile data.
How do you get videos to download on to iPhone through the app mine keeps coming up with having to connect to the camera but I can still edit and watch the videos on the app but they just won’t download any help would be appreciated

Very helpful video, but as a old technology challenged person, you might want to mention in order to make the Mimo editing work, you have to load the video clip files onto your phone... lol I know you young people would just say duh... but if you watch your video not knowing you'd think they were just there as soon as you connected the osmo 3 to the app. :) Or am i still confused ?
Ordered my Action 3 Adventure Combo the other day (its my mothers day gift)! Hoping to get it by Mothers Day Weekend and get out and get some cool videos! 1:40 what does the 5 attempts mean? When I bought mine, I was trying to connect with my Samsung Note 9 Mimo app, but it was unable to find the camera and connect it. Then. Downloaded the new Mimo app, from WiFi setting Stopped mobile data as instructed. Still not connecting. Found some solution from internet. So got one old Android phone Samsung S7 edge, downloaded the new Mimo app and it connected automatically. My cam was the 2023 version and came with updated Firmwire already. But I was Freaked out at first when I was unable to connect the phone and it's saying 4 attempts left? What does that mean. If someone unable to connect in 5 attempts, will it be useless?
Why is noone talking about the "required product activation" with the app BEFORE you can use the product? The Spyware app collects emails, names, GPS location, pictures, messages, phone number, Bluetooth accespoints and so on.
Excellent point. I plan to activate mine using a used, older phone I purchased online. It’s wiped clean. Then, never use that phone for anything but upgrading. Sad, but I don’t trust this company.
gosh ... person - using smartphone, having social media accounts, browsing internet, use Maps etc etc should not be using this product at all because the company collects your data, and other companies doesn't do that. right? right?

Hi Winston, I guess if you didn't pick up on any of the shots in this video being out of focus neither have we. From our experience the camera works just fine and as we'd expect from an action camera. No issues or problems that we've noticed from our end. Cheers
Hello. I am a total newbie to video cameras. I appreciate this video from you for beginners with the DJI Action 3. My husband bought my DJI for me this last Christmas and I've been too afraid to use it. I am an artist and want to use my DJI for filming my art/painting tutorials which will mostly consist of my camera following my hands working on my canvasses. Do you have any suggestions for settings of me painting in front of a large wall with canvas on it, or canvas sitting on a surface and one edge along the base of my wall easel? I've never shot a video of my painting practices in my life, I really need some help! This old lady is LOST. Thank you.
I have tried setting my camera up, and I can't connect it to my phone and I am now locked out of the menu on camera as the camera for some reason, says you have so many attempts which I have used, and now I can't use the menu on the camera. My phone is a Samsung A52 I am maybe thinking my phone is not compatible? If you had time, any suggestions, if ya can that could help. Cheers Chris
Brilliant, Thank you mate. NB Question. A setting I cant find. On my action 1 I am able to set the camera to take a photo every 2 seconds. It works brilliantly on a selfie stick and gives you heep of photos to choose from. But no where in the Action 3 can I find this?? - Am I missing something ? Kindly help please

I love the way you show the difference in the footage. A 1:1 comparison like you did with the settings and 1080 flat color profile to 4k with different frame rates.. that was great!
also i made the mistake of using rocksteady in low light. now my footage is all jittery. any ideas how to still have steady footage without the jitters aha?

This was SO helpful! I've been thinking about upgrading from my GoPro Hero 7 to the DJI Osmo 3 and this was great in-depth look before buying.
I also have gopro 7 and I added the action 3 for my vlogging.
dji osmo action 3 is a nice choise,, im using dji osmo action 3, and i very satisfied.. i love my action 3

Stupid question: when filming in 100fps is there the Shutter on 1/200? Can i change the Shutter?
Every time I create a new custom setting (e.g C3), it overwrites not only the earlier custom settings (C1 & C2) but also the general video settings.

That’s correct, save the clips first, download them from you osmo to you phone 👌🏽 easy

The new firmware upgrade has HDR. Would you recommend that setting for vlogging?
Can this be used as Timelapse which you can monitor/access remotely while off site? Interested in it for a construction site.
