    Good video. I have the same tent - Soulo BL. Even when I set it up in the front yard with similar conditions, I don't sleep well with great gear. I always wonder why I sleep outside and don't sleep in my own bed inside. I suppose that after 3-5 nights outside, you get used to it or use earplugs. That length of time is challenging for me now...of course, later in life, I'll probably not be able to afford buying new Hillebergs all the time, but will probably have all the time in the world to use one.

    Good job setting up the tent, those winds were fierce, and could have easily swept the tent away.

      Yeh the wind did make it pretty frustrating to pitch well, i always have the tent attached to something with a caribina or secured somehow with either myself sitting on it while i peg the 4 main corners, but having it blow away is definatly a concern.
      Thankfully i still own it will be out again in it soon, its been pretty windy (30-40 mph) and cold lately (5 to -15 on the summits) so not really looking to pitch in that.

    Good to see your gear working in those winds your right the worst part is putting the tent up once it's done it's ok.ive seen a few have the problem with the rain coming through the zip some seam sealer will sort it and some dyneema on the zip pulls stops them rattling

    • @davie.outdoors8150
      @davie.outdoors8150  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the info Craig, il get that seam sealed, I had to close the inner completely as the water would drip inside otherwise I would of left the inner open or at least the mesh.
      As for the zips rattling I guess you cut off the metal part and replace with Dyneema.
      Solid tent though.

      @@davie.outdoors8150 no don't cut the zips off that voids your warranty.just thread some dyneema through the metal zips pulls.

    I have a soulo and your water leaking problem is pretty easy to fix. After the zipper clamp at the end there is a gap, and that’s where the water comes it

      i will have to investifgate this, havn't had it pitched since, weather has actually been good in Scotland
