No insightful talks. Bad food. Cheap wine. 3” mattresses on twin beds. No bus tours, all walking. No cathedral guided tours, just a walk into a town w a brief description of the place & then we were on our own. No evening entertainment worth seeing. No cultural talks or events onboard or off. Crew was friendly & hard working but this is a boring company & you will get very little for your money. We had no local entertainment onboard except for one night w 4 young lady singers, singing 6 American pop songs w recorded sound. It was an awful cruise, a disappointing experience after watching these wonderful TH-cam videos. I was so excited but so happy to leave that boat after 11 nights.

Entertainment in the evening included the crew talent show, the tour directors life in a slide show, a navigation talk by the captain, dance lessons given by a chamber maid onboard & a talk on how Muslims have changed Germany. It was 11 nights of the worst “entertainment” ever. I went back to my cabin & watched news on CNN…that’s how bored I was. I hear other river cruises bring on local talent from the nearby cities they visit. Anything was better than what we got.
@@cberry6751 Sorry to hear that your cruise was so different from the one that we took prepandemic. We had bus tours, local dance troupes that entertained in the evenings on the boat, and local lectures. I liked the de-emphasis on a party atmosphere and took time to read books in our free time. Hope that this is only temporary due to the pandemic. Thanks for writing and best regards.

I went in 2019, and the food was great, the guides very informative. Sorry you didn’t enjoy your cruise.
