Wow thanks for this!! I was only one years old! I love this man i don't care how old he is!!! Macca forever!!! To watch him sing MY LOVE, one of my fav's!! and UNCLE ALBERT!!
Can’t wait to see this all cleaned up on the new Red Rose Speedway box set just announced. Big Barn Bed an underrated Wings rocker...Paul add it to the the new tour set list please!
Watching some of those songs was like watching a train wreck in slow motion. John and Paul wrote their best songs together and John wrote songs with a pure honesty that resonate to this day. Something magic happened when the Beatles wrote and performed together In fact some of the best Beatles material all 4 contributed too. Seriously your comments are just so wrong. i find Pauls solo work almost completely forgettable. "I read the news today" what would Pepper be without that haunting finish that song gives it. Call me a Lennon fan, both John and Georges solo stuff will out last "ebony and Ivory". I think Paul is a great guy but lennon gave the Beatles the edge and relevance. If it were Pauls band they would have been backing for Elton John.
Some really beautiful imagery here. Poetry in song and image. The way the stage lights flash every time Linda takes a picture is clever and very pretty.
No one in the history of pop music has ever written songs like the Beatles. Here, from Paul. From "The Long and Winding Road "to, "In My life". Who today, or yesterday has written such beauty with such grace.
In My Life is 100% John. When Paul erroneously said he had written the lyrics, he was misremembering or being disingenuous since we have John's original handwritten lyric sheet.
From what I've read, Paul wanted Linda with him all the time and insisted that she be part of the band. The children traveled with them when they toured. If he'd been mine, I would never have left his side.
I saw Linda on a talk show. Old clip I recently ran across. Must have been after Wings cuz she was asked if she loved being in the band. She said no, she didn't love it. "I mean, we had a good time. It's just something we did, not a passion of mine". Loved her honest answer.
It's time to bring back the mullet again, only to emulate and honor the 1973-74 Paul McCartney. You may want to add a mustache and soul patch as well - as Paul had in Spring 1974.
Love Wings stuff!! In fact, I would dare to say I would rather hear stuff from his Wings era over any of the Beatles stuff. ... Red Rose Speedway, RAM, Band On The Run, London Town, Venus & Mars and singles like Girls School, Mull of Kyntire, C-Moon, Give Ireland Back, .. AWESOME STUFF! .. Just my .02 cents. ...
I watched it in 1973, but for the life of me, I don't remember that he played Bluebird, which was a new song at the time and not released until November on BOTR. I taped the show on reel to reel, but sadly don't still have it, so I can't check but I'm sure I would have registered a new song and put it on one of my rarities tapes

Little Woman Love should have been a bigger hit. I always thought it would. I think it was the confusion of the A- Side "Mary Had A Little Lamb". No radio DJ to play the B- side type of thing.
Gostaria de encontrar a música Everyday de Paul and Linda MacCartney. Um vinil cuja capa é um lago com um bote e o casal está no mesmo. O fundo da foto é um mato verde. Quem souber me informar algo, por favor me avisem Ok? Meu nome é Rosana Jung.
Strange that Paul should disclose "Bluebird" months before release of the "Band on the Run" album. Unless this is from April 1974 and not ´73. But the look and feel is clearly ´73-ish..... Furthermore, I think Seawell and McCulloch left Wings just before the "Band on the Run" project. This means "Buebird" was not new when released on BOTR, something I didn´t know.
Thanks for uploading these rare Wings clips. A lot of them ain't my cup o' tea, I can understand why John Lennon sang at the time: "The sound you make is muzak to my ears" : D but not all of them, just most of the Wings stuff. I love Paul's first two solo albums, and Band On The Run ain't bad either. None of The Beatles individually were a patch on what they were collectively, EXCEPT, John's first three solo albums had the best lyrics of any artist in the world at the time.
John was a better lyricist, but as a musician, paul was a galaxy away from him. And John knew it from the very begginig, he decided to let paul join the group because he realized it only to hear two guitar solos by him... and, obviously, he was so right
Most of Wings’ music is amazing, enjoyable, beautiful, and unique. They were one of the biggest acts in the 70’s for a reason. Paul had at least one #1 song in the charts every year from 1962-1984

Any other musicians would have told him to eff off at the very suggestion. Still the man is a musical force of nature, so he gets a free pass.
Robin Sayer when he took the band to his Mull of Kintyre farm he put then up in the barn. They were not at all happy, they wanted to be housed in the main house until they saw inside. It was worse than the barn. Lol!!!

Check out "Single Pigeon" from his album Red Rose Speedway.....I think you may like!
More hits here in 18 minutes than most other so called stars have in their entire careers, pure McCartney genius :)
Paul's got such a lovely voice
My love, one of the best love songs ever
i remember watching this ,when it aired. still looks and sounds great.
I also remember this when it first aired. I was 14, watching it on a picture tube tv set. Wow. What memories.
