This is THE game that made me decide I was gonna be a cowboys fan. I'm from the UK and the 2014 season was my first watching NFL and had to choose a team. I watched as many different teams as I could over the first 6 weeks to get a feel for them. I settled down to watch this game, knowing about how dominant Seattle had been for a couple of years now and were undefeated at home since 2012. Something about this game just blew me away. Being new to NFL there's something really exciting about watching a dominant WR/RB combo in Bryant and Murray with Tony Romo looking great at QB and an O line that was more than matching up against this feared Seahawks defense. By full time after being swept up in the excitement I was a brand new Dallas Cowboys fan
Thank you, Bart Simpson for posting these videos of the best Cowboys team since the Big Three (Troy, Emmit and Michael) were here reigning supreme! By this time Romo had already had two back surgeries and working on his third.
i remember reading an article about romo and how he finally mastered his throwing technique in 2014...just a shame they didnt let him go out swinging in 2016 when he healed..and every true fan would know that he would want a rematch with green bay in his house..organization kinda did him dirty in the end and throughout his career by rarely ever giving him a RB or defense
They gave him a hell of an OL, Demarco Murray. Romo was Undrafted, Id say they did him great. Marion Barber was awesome, and overpaid. Rbs dont matter and they still overinvested. What they failed utterly at was defensive drafting esp secondary; Cowboys regularly allowed 4000-5000 yards of passing a year. Decent D front players, terrible secondaries. But it wasn't lack of effort, its lots of busts, and TERRIBLE free agents. Jerry and his son just suck at identifying D backs who fit systems or that their staffs can coach into excellent players.
If Romo really had something left, he'd have signed elsewhere when Dak took over. He was cooked. If he was really top shelf in practice they'd have put him in. But Dak was top shelf ON Gamesday. 8 Yards ATTEMPT in 2016. Bradys career is 7.5; 8 is rarified air HOF QBS visit occasionally. Romo got 8.5 YPA in 2014 an MVP level season for him. Romo in 2015 = 7.3 YPA. Okay, bordering on meh.
HILARIOUSLY, Cowboys fans always blamed and hated Romo, and he was the SOLE reason Cowboys even mattered 2008-2013. The D backs would give up 5000+ yards a year and its "Does tony romo have what it takes to win in this league?" NO. Just look at the f____ box scores. In 2013 he could duel Peyton Manning score 42 points, Manning gets 49 ties record for 7 TDs and its HIS fault. Hilarious for us who hate the Cowboys.
That's when i would look forward to the cowboy games, damn refs always had it in for us with the bad calls! I wish aikman would've gotten hit like that & said that it wasn't a penalty.
@@chigbungus6567 nah this game was because it proved the team can stand with any team that year and it gave them a huge confidence boost to show they’re winning streak wasn’t luck.
Also totally meaningless. Romo famously fucked up whenever it was a crucial playoff, or a play that would have put them in the playoffs. (See the intx. in the 2012 loss to the Redskins that kept them out of the playoffs for a perfect example) He threw some of the dumbest interceptions I have ever seen. What a LOSER.
@pretorious700 Last time i checked this is a team sport. This isn't golf dude. What about everyone else's responsibility in the losing seasons. Crappy defense most of the time and horrible play calling & coaching from Garrett. Also most of his career he had NO OFFENSIVE LINE and hardly any running game, not until 2014 when they stopped throwing every freakin' down.
When things look bleak, when it's third and long, when time is ticking down, there's nobody I'd rather have on my team than Tony Romo. They don't call him the "King of 4th Quarter Comebacks" for nothing.
This game should have been the game to solidify Romo and Dez as elite. Dez finished this game with ZERO TDS. Romo had two TDS totalling 3 yards. Witten had a 1 yard TD and Escobar had a 2 yard TD. BOTH predicated by the run.. Romo was 21-32 with 250 yards. That year they had an easy schedule which is how they padded stats against teams like the then 1-7 Jags (season high stats for both). The defense and running game paired with Seattle's lethargic playing is what beat them.
@@o925now How? He's NEVER proved it. He has VERY pedestrian post season stats. He has NEVER been a 1st Team All Pro. He's NEVER lead the league in rushing or passing TDS. What made him elite??
Too bad Dallas spent over 10 years before getting serious about the offensive line in front of Romo. Wasting his prime years and cut his career short. That line was the biggest part of the 13-3 rookie seasons for Dak and Zeke.
I watched this game and lost my voice for 2 days. I just love how the Cowboy's offensive line deliberately stripped the manhood from the "Legion of Boom" after converting that 3 and 20. 3 straight power runs all the way to endzone and win!
I love the Cowboys but I don't know. It was still 4 5 min left in the game after the catch. Even after the ruling, the Packers converted on a lot of 3rd downs while being somewhat conservative on their play calling. Now let us say that the Cowboys do convert and score. The Packers only needed a FG to tie and the Cowboys showed that they couldn't stop Rodgers in the 2nd half prior to that Cowboys possession. The reality is the Cowboys had too many chances. The Murray fumble, the Packers fumble in a kickoff that the Cowboys failed to recover and the Packers last drive where the Cowboys didn't get the ball back for Romo to give them one more chance at a TD.
@James Vs. Movies DPI was picked up against the Lions because Pettigrew was holding Hitchen's facemask. Watch the play again from another angle. This is why the flag was picked up.

Going to this game was torture. Love both teams. I went to this one, the wild card game with the botched snap, the one in Dallas this year, every cowboys vs Seahawks game I've gone to have been nail biters.
Wilson is now a Bronco. Came here to see him in his prime, but ended up watching the Dallas offensive line. It made me realize trading him was the right thing to do. Wilson's post rookie contract was so big it put us in a cycle that insured the team was just good enough to be in the bottom 1/2 of the draft but too poor to do any thing in free agency. Denver's compensation for Wilson will allow us more balance. Maybe I can watch next years Seahawks offensive line and be just as impressed as I was with the Dallas line in this game.
It's pretty dope that they played some Alice in Chains at 49:02 and Soundgarden at 1:25:52 since the game was in Seattle 🔥🤘🏻 Also, RIP Gavin Escobar. He died in a rock climbing accident a week or so ago.
This is one of my top 5 fav Cowboys wins. The Seahawks were defending Superbowl champs and 19-1 at home and NOBODY gave us a shot in hell of winning and Tony and the Cowboys shut up the bum ass haters for at least a week🤣.....Goin to work Monday morn and seeing 3 of my Seahawk co workers hiding at there desk was great, I talked SHYT to them all week😁.....Great Cowboys win vs Russ Wilson and the might Hawks😂
I was at this game. One of the best Cowboys memories I have. Got to shut everyone up in Seattle after all the SB talk. Should’ve been going back for the NFC championship game to beat em again. This was our best team.
@@joesakic91 The Cowboys were in a position to win in 3 of those 4 losses when someone else screwed up late and when Romo couldn't overcome it, he was blamed.
One of the most incredible plays from snap to whistle I’ve ever seen. The move to escape the pressure, the scramble, the throw, the catch, and the placement of the feet were all nothing less than spectacular.
Love the Joseph Randle run @19:50. He finishes it by trucking Sherman. Once or twice a year I come back to this game. If only the Cowboys could get back to that formula - big, nasty and talented offensive line with a hungry running game. That's a design that does well under any circumstance.
this game showed how serious dallas was and that they were there to win. from 2012-2016 playing in seattle was a nightmare & dallas went in and took them down in their own house. this was also only seattle’s 2nd loss at home with russ at qb. this game was something
a big what if for this cowboys team would've been had they called Dez's catch in the playoffs vs GB as a catch and the cowboys were to go on and win that game and then play Seattle again in Seattle if they would've gone all the way to the super bowl(id say so, this team seemed well equipped to deal with Seattle)
My game observations 1- with Romo Dallas was always in the game, 1st 20 didn’t matter there was a shot! 2- Whitten looked bad early couple big missed catches 3-Joseph Randle and Dunbar looked good, wish they had bigger careers in Dallas. 4- Beasley not used enough or at all! So underrated 5- Dallas didn’t dominate outright they played great but Seattle had some no calls or dropped too. 6- Romo got hit a lot with no calls or flags, shortened his career because. 7- Dez played bad over all drops! Bad routes, he was as good as his maturity game to game. 8- the Luke Wilson drop/no call affected the game big, game changer?? 9- Dallas D played great! 10- 2nd half Dallas played flat, settle was there with them. 11- Williams made one of the best catches of his career, beautiful catch, saved Dallas at that point. 12- finally as Seattle d wore down Murray became a factor but he looked slow the whole game, ran into his own linemen a lot this game. 13- Due to Wilson lack of offense fire power Dallas played the way the needed to win. 14- Wilson through a game ending INT but was a force due to situation 4th and 6 and Dallas d doing a great job of getting pressure on him all day! That D over performing that d looked great! I’m a Dallas fan but these were my observations as I watched this game.
Dez is starting to get a bad attitude. At 58:25 Witten scores a TD and you can see Dez at the top of the screen walking off without congratulating Witten. Actually, pouting sounds more like it. I saw him do the same thing in the playoffs with the game winning TD to TW against the Lions.
I loved it but Romo got alot of great plays like that look at his highlight reel, man got 24 fourth qt comeback wins .Without him the Cowboys didn't stand a chance each yr and that's what u need from your QB, a CHANCE
@@Deonte692 hey I agree. I got into so many arguments with people over tony. Check out the video tony Romo numbers never lie. That really puts it into perspective.
21:55 Cmon Kam that's weak. That's Jimmy Graham blocking level weak. Something's wrong with Kam today. They put him deep middle and put Earl Thomas in the box 21:13 when Witten caught a pass that put them here.
It seems the plan is to put Kam deep and Earl Thomas in the Box. (??) The Seahawks game plan zones for this game make no sense, the middle of the field is full of holes and the seams are wide open. It must be some variation to trick them but its NOT working today.
@@pretorious700 How about the dummies that don't know the difference between passer rating and QBR? Hmmmmmmm? lol Yes, there is a distinct difference. Here it is: The PASSER RATING is a system used by the NFL that is strictly attempts, completions, yards, TDs, and interceptions. The Total Quarterback Rating (also known as QBR) is a proprietary system devised by ESPN about 10 years ago to take into account the situation and QB involvement. Come on! That's basic NFL knowledge! Best Game WIN ever! So many players contributed to the game, I wonder where half are now. Great focus, on defense. Never quit on offense. Great game guys!!!
I’ll never forget watching this game in prison my fellow cowboys fan went against the grain and made a bet that Seattle was gonna win becuz they were so good, he felt like such a jackass after the game, losing his money and his honor

Jose Cantu ya but it doesn’t mean u was gonna win either
I know Zeke is the better back but I liked Murray's style. He was always slow after the play taking his time getting up and going back to the huddle.
Going to this game was torture. Love both teams. I went to this one, the wild card game with the botched snap, the one in Dallas this year, every cowboys vs Seahawks game I've gone to have been nail biters.
Probably my favorite cowboys win of the 21st century. And most satisfying win
Oh my! Them Boyz was balling! Only if we had a coach, could won 2 ring with this roster.
Amen
LOFL, Cowboy fans, kings of the "we coulda"....
Um no. Offense wasn't good enough. And defense was trash. Good day, please try to argue with me, I'll school you every time.
I don’t think the defense was good enough but should of made the nfc championship game at least
This should have been the. 2014-15 nfc title game
But Dez dropped it...
@@DanJilekHE CAUGHT IT IF THE BALL DOES NOT FALL CATCH IS THE CALL

@@DanJilek Terrible rule. Good call. But he caught the ball.
This was a very exciting game to watch. Prolly my absolute favorite game!+
The Cowboys running game and defense came to play.
There was always a good chance for a win with Tony Romo at quarterback
Always a better chance to lose.
@@pretorious700 fuck off creep
Unless you were in the playoffs.
Truth is a bitch.
ROMO had great stats this was the year cowboys should have beaten packers but the robbery happen. Romo's playoff record was not great
Think how many yards Zeke could've had with this line playing this great.
Cowboy fans are so "what if" pathetic.
@@Buzz69Lightyear .nice attempt at comedy
It's pretty dope that they played some Alice in Chains at 49:02 and Soundgarden at 1:25:52 since the game was in Seattle 🔥🤘🏻
Also, RIP Gavin Escobar.
Thank you for all this visual flights you give us ... thank you on behalf of all the sporty and free eagles in the NFL sky world.
I was at this game. One of the best Cowboys memories I have. Got to shut everyone up in Seattle after all the SB talk. Should’ve been going back for the NFC championship game to beat em again. This was our best team.
As a NYG fan, I get super jealous of this Dallas OL...
That seattle D-line was horrible. No pass rush, couldn't stop the run, totally dominated by Dallas O-line
this was the year of the catch that wasn't... this was our year.. love my Cowboys
We were so pumped for this game! We knew we could do it.
Dam I remember this win, I was so hyped after this game 🤠
40:02 the Browns BLOWING OUT the Steelers? What a rare sight
Cowboys intercept the ball and marshawn lynch over there laughing his ass off 🤣
I thought Dallas had a Super bowl caliber team that year. The loss against Green Bay in the playoffs was devastating.
Romo could have made a superstar out of just about anyone. That's a HoF player.
But Tony Romo's lack of postseason success hurt his Pro Football HoF chances as a player.
Romo could get into Canton as a broadcaster.
@@joesakic91 The Cowboys were in a position to win in 3 of those 4 losses when someone else screwed up late and when Romo couldn't overcome it, he was blamed.
01:54:18 timecode. Beauty in motion.
1:20:10 that home field advantage is crazy! Imagine if they had a home Super Bowl like Tampa
man i miss that o line and also the defense surprisingly lol.. dallas defense has been so up and down for sooooooo long
One of my favorite games. Always loved the loud Seattle crowd somewhat but dallas and Seattle have had some great games lately
This really should have been like a 30-7 game. Seattle got SO MANY breaks from turnovers to bad punts, etc.
One of my Favorite Cowboy games of all time, How bout dem Cowboys!!!🤍💙🤍💙🤍✭🐐DC4L
Rolando McClain! What a career that guy could have had.
1:54:30 One of the greatest catch/passes in NFL history you've never heard of.
Troy: " I think that was a clean hit". It was clean, just late.
Dumbass Mike Peirera: He was not in a passing posture.
Tony Romo: late hit after throwing the ball.
Can you upload for the Lions game this week the 2014-2015 playoffs Dallas Cowboys versus Detroit Lions
this game showed how serious dallas was and that they were there to win. from 2012-2016 playing in seattle was a nightmare & dallas went in and took them down in their own house. this was also only seattle’s 2nd loss at home with russ at qb. this game was something
a big what if for this cowboys team would've been had they called Dez's catch in the playoffs vs GB as a catch and the cowboys were to go on and win that game and then play Seattle again in Seattle if they would've gone all the way to the super bowl(id say so, this team seemed well equipped to deal with Seattle)
Dallas' O-Line was straight-up bullying teams that year.
Back in the day when Tony Romo was in the nfl
he was a loser
Awesome Game! Go Cowboys 🏈🏈
My game observations
1- with Romo Dallas was always in the game, 1st 20 didn’t matter there was a shot!
2- Whitten looked bad early couple big missed catches
3-Joseph Randle and Dunbar looked good, wish they had bigger careers in Dallas.
4- Beasley not used enough or at all! So underrated
5- Dallas didn’t dominate outright they played great but Seattle had some no calls or dropped too.
15:52 that was a clean hit? He hit him once second after he got rid of the ball. That should have been flagged. Wtf?
They gave upon Romo 1 year to early dak was fools gold
Facts
U got to give dak some credit for a rookie he did amazing.
That 3rd and 20 was about as great a play and as clutch as you can ask for.
I loved it but Romo got alot of great plays like that look at his highlight reel, man got 24 fourth qt comeback wins .Without
him the Cowboys didn't stand a chance each yr and that's what u need from your QB, a CHANCE

Dunbar was killer that year.
TONY ROMO IS THE GOAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I miss Tony Romo because he’s done a LOT for Dallas despite being unable to win a Super Bowl for the team.
@@frankieallen0 it takes a whole team to win, but Tony literally broke his back carrying the Cowboys his whole career
@@kellymcquay2626, yeah, the injury from preseason kinda forced retirement
The year the cowboys got robbed, and Tony Romo got snubbed for league MVP despite having some of the best numbers across the board. SMH.
MVP is usually reserved for someone who doesn't choke in the playoffs
@@pretorious700 Then why did Peyton Manning win it multiple times and Brett Favre? Moron
@@pretorious700 Romo lost a game with a 143.1 passer rating. I hardly consider that to be choking.
@Tom Knapp
This is the mindset of dummies who conflate QBR with playoff success. Do you even see how irrelevant one is to the other?
@@pretorious700 How about the dummies that don't know the difference between passer rating and QBR? Hmmmmmmm? lol Yes, there is a distinct difference. Here it is: The PASSER RATING is a system used by the NFL that is strictly attempts, completions, yards, TDs, and interceptions. The Total Quarterback Rating (also known as QBR) is a proprietary system devised by ESPN about 10 years ago to take into account the situation and QB involvement. Come on! That's basic NFL knowledge! Since you obviously didn't know that, I really can't take the rest of what you have to say seriously.

Seattle finally realized that trading for Percy Harvin was a mistake after this game. They wasted way too much plays trying to get him involved on offense instead of pounding Marshawn.
Where was Miles Austin in this matchup?
Such a microcosm of the Garrett offense.

Seahawks: 13 yards

Cowboys - 10
