Pun was eons ahead of Jay lyrically and already had some typa static in the streets. Jay didn’t really pop until Vol 2 and X helped that album with this feature. Don’t get me wrong Hov one of my favorites too but in order for him to blow up the game had to shrink a bit, it was a little crowded back then. My honest opinion tho.
