  • In this episode, I finally remove the passenger seats from the bus. All I used were wrenches and a ratchet, affiliate links below. With the seats out, I can finally get to the fun stuff!

You’re welcome! I kept all the hardware, I would love to be able to reuse it. I’m building on a budget!

Hello, what was that black unit on the floor on the left side of the bus with a time stamp at 4:39?

Thanks for making this video. I'm still deciding between a regular van and one of these shuttle bus conversions. I've been looking for info on those folding seats and how they were mounted, etc because I have an idea for re-using those folding seat frame mechanisms to make a murphy bed. I would remove the seat backs and the cushions from the bottom part which would just leave the folding bottom sections. I figure that using 2 or maybe 3 of the folding parts with a suitably size piece of plywood bolted to them would make a nice base for a folding bed arrangement and by re-using those folding bottom sections, I wouldn't have to engineer any type of hinge mechanism that would be sturdy enough.

That would be really cool! Let me know how it turns out if you build it!
