So far Indian army is concerned, among other 4 defence forces, is relatively more operational oriented and little bit more aware of its strategic abilities and deficiencies. This nation can’t ever be enough grateful to Gen Rawat who single-handedly transformed the whole war philosophy of Indian armed forces, at least theoretical level and when he dedicated his whole self to implement in tangible terms, god snatched him away from the nation.

Somehow it still feels like a British army, it feels artificial....
Hope decolonisation happens faster in Bharath..

SNG is loosing viewers as the length of the videos are getting longer. Personally, I Love this channel as it is. But to survive i'm hoping the team figures something out to attract more viewers.

In other words, everything is inadequate and they have to start from a state of total unpreparedness.

Disappointing to see the army chief wearing civilian attire.

Tanks are not an outdated technology ...the elephants at war were proved vulnerable as early as alexander's debacle in india..but they were in use as late as 19th century in battle in subcontinent....elephants made a comeback in form of tanks just after 100 years...in a strike formation tanks r still indispensable...I think the era of tanks is here to stay...there will be upgrades ...drones may stop or delay the upcoming attack. But they have no efficacy to dominate behind the enemy lines...however I agree with you tanks as a technology have to be reengineered

@@snoopytintin4878 it's all about priority.. knowing enemies capabilities..and prepare accordingly..but by choosing small enemy and wasting all resources till date..
we seen why everybody running behind Turkish drone..even Iranian drone are accepted by Russian as cheap reliable options . Tanks are for planes,deserts...but Himalayas how tanks in such large no. Going to help.. and First and important question is why import tanks in such large no.

India has 3 strike corpes -oriented, trained with heavy duty tanks ,armorured vehicles against - Pakistan . But none against china...why so much delay and whose responsibility.. is this. Just to fill pockets with money buy foreign jets fighteres...tanks artillery...
And answer for this we don't hav capabilities.

Great to hear from the horse's mouth!! But do we need to be told the precise number of tank garages, width and length of roads etc. on the border!!?? Of course, China and Pak must be knowing it all from satellite images! Hope some huge empty garages are also built to cheat them!!

The mindset is still colonial. Not fast in including modern concepts and technology. Keep drinking at those messes with your wives and enjoy. While enemy moves with lightning speed.

@@nitamishra1988 looks like it home. must be a part of the lazy army officers club. sorry but that's the truth. Indian army is always caught napping and this is not new. From 1965 to Galwan they were always reactionary. of course they fight back well but we should be better prepared and game enemy's moves which we don't.

@@nitamishra1988 So how is it that Indian Army was surprised at China's sudden mobilization at LAC? Sleeping at the wheel is the mantra.
Now since Galwan we are way more prepared and alert. Drones and surveillance plus heavier fire power kudos to the recent Chiefs including Gen Pande but we need to put ourselves in enemy's shoes and think.
Look at Andaman and Nicobar, we are lucky we got it as a part of the partition deal as a part of India. For 65 years we ignored its defence and fortification. it is only under PM Modi we have beefed up defence there. It could have been easily been occupied by China. Even now I don't think there is enough forces there. If China launches a Taiwan style invasion force it will be easily overrun. They have a base just 100 miles from there.
There is no harm in self criticism but looks like you are a part of the elite that hangs out military messes shooting breeze, eh so it touched a raw nerve for you.
I know it and I have been there. I have family who has served in Indian Army.
That is part of that culture but all I am saying is let's be very proactive on all fronts and think 3 steps ahead of the enemy.
