Hidden Figure (2016) is a very inspirational movie and it's educational because it highlights the names of 3 african American women who were vital to NASA and space exploration that a lot of people didn't know.

I was so thrilled watching this because when I was young my mother would often talk to me about their remarkable story. You see I'm Hispanic of Puerto Rican desend and my mother in 1958 became the first Hispanic R.N. nurse in New York City and in 1964 the supervising nurse after 23 years at a Manhattan hospital she than left to a hospital in Boston to be the director of nurses there. He had a completely integrated work force during WW2. Which was unheard of at that time. Andrew Higgins also made sure that all of his workers regardless of color or ethnic background made the same wages for the same work.

I just watched this true story and it saddens me that other people treated other people this way. As a quaker I've always look at other people as human beings and treated everyone with dignity and respect regardless of skin color or gender or religious beliefs. We have come along way but we have a long way to go. Our creator made us to love and care for each other it instilled in us from birth but we must be taught to hate each other because that is the devil's work. Do one act of random kindness everyday regardless of how small it might be and bring no harm but defend those who can't defend themselves.

This movie really inspires me to lifting up my thinking as l am also a dark shade lady,,in our society, everyone likes the fair skin tone,,no one cares about the skills that a copper shade woman has...

Incorrect. Love all shades of copper colors. The more highly skilled the better.

I really like how the white people came to look at that man in the mirror and corrected their errors and behavior..that was really beautiful. It gives you faith in the human race like people may be prejudice but it’s only because they’re afraid of what they don’t know and at the end of the day..everyone has basic human empathy. I love this movie.

My eyes got watery when I saw this movie. How u fair life is for certain ppl and how we can treat someone simply for not being a certain race or gender. We r humans. A person is someone else's sister, mother or child. Brother, husband and son. Imagine if someone treated u or ur child that way. Don't. 🥺

The three didn’t actually work together. They were there in different years. Mary Jackson did have to do this. Katherine Johnson actually used white bathrooms with no consequences.
