The amount of secrets this guy knows and goes to the grave with are legendary. He knows stuff the public won’t know or hear about for another 40 years minimum.
This timeline makes no sense, slavery was abolished in 1865 yet he looks to be in his 40s in 1957. In reality, let’s say he ran away in 1863 at fifteen, he would be over one hundred in 1957.
Formally, yes. But who's hiring former slaves? Who's paying them? Their former masters for almost 0. Basically the same type of slavery that happens today.
This is the one movie that I haven't seen but need to. I grew up in Alabama during the 60s and 70s. I never understood the hatred or racism of those times. As a white man, and the son of white parents,my parents never taught racism or bigotry. I just didn't get it. I understood the struggles and the racism that still exists today including the Birmingham that I grew up in. Things that I saw on the news horrified me. 😢😮. Will it ever end?
Someday I pray it does but I don’t think it’ll be solved forever. We may one day in the future finally come together but than it’ll start up again when we have alien visitors to our planet.
Humanity originated in Africa, uniting us all through shared ancestry. Yet history shows dark periods of division, violence, and racism. Even today, injustices persist, like some white officers unfairly targeting Black individuals. Acknowledging this isn't about blame but about striving for equality and understanding.
@@BeFree2BeGrotesque here its not about telling its about understanding what have been done , which cannot be taken back and this still being done in present. and because of that violence behavior black too learnt same. so now simple terms what you sow you ripe
@BeFree2BeGrotesque so you mean to say that making others life miserable just to live your own comfortable life . Like a pure evil selfish person is correct. You want to say that what white did in past with black was right. You meant to say that if you are born white then you can make other colour people it's slave. They way you are portraying your self explanation why you are supporting this slavery things may be you are too like to make other life miserable other wise I didn't said any thing out of the cruelty done on black. Any way people like you are type of parasite who only thinks just for themselves. So carry on for being good for nothing 😎
In the 1st part of this video, it's clearly evident that this is 1st in the south and it was a very sad part of American history but this video also concerns black people working in the WHITE House, and I remember years ago when President Obama was in the WHITE House, when he got hungry he would go to the kitchen and make something to eat, and the WHITE House Chef got very mad at him,and as the story unfolds President Obama wanted very simple things like a hotdog, or a chilidog, bacon Cheeseburger, like most President s they like very simple things like when they were young and because I have worked for two four star Generals, they are the same way, easy to make, but packed with flavors and a wide variety of different types of foods, which they greatly appreciated, as when they went home, they requested that their cook's make the exact same thing, you would be surprised what these high Profile people want, elegance with a Flair, and very simple simplicity. That's how my ma,taught me, and my brother's and sisters. But now after CULINARY SCHOOL, with extensive experience in the CULINARY ARTS, you can't find that anymore, among leading Chef's, it's very Rare.
just not true at all lol, im sous at an incredible restaurant and you couldnt find a single person there who doesnt love simple and flavourful food. why lie?
I absolutely loved this movie. I cried a bit being Mexican I grew up during Segregation in the 60's and I fèlt and feel this in my Bones. I cried when Obama won and I cried when VP Harris lost. God help us all ❤
I think that if it was a book it must have been written by 2 or more generations. The clues are as follows: (1) In first part , it shows black people working on cotton farm as harvesters as " slaves" . That means it was before the American Civil War . (2) Many of the former slaves in south moved away from cotton farms to work in cities or at least up North ! They would take a permit for New Lands or Native Americans to farm & harvest them . Then they moved westwards . Thus , original diary / source diary was from 2 or more people . Perhaps from same family ?! . Afterall working as Butler in White House was far more comfortable & secure job than anywhere else .
It’s sharecroppeing. People still picked cotton after slavery, they were paid for it. In fact, my mom picked cotton here in Pine Bluff Arkansas in the 80,s making 8 dollars an hour, which was good money then. The cotton fields are still there.
If that’s what you got from the movie you’re dumber than you look in that picture

likely will never happen whites hate blacks, blacks hate whites, we will probably need a hard reset if we were to end racism
It has. But race batters like al sharpton and the dnc keep it alive.
