One of the greatest guitarists there have ever been. I am totally amazed and inspired by his music, his lyrics, his legacy. He changed the way I write music and the way I see the world. Through his lyrics, I have opened my eyes in many ways, many directions and I feel I want to do something to pay respects and honour to everything he was in life nd still is in our hearts and minds. I recently got the tattoo Architects did about him and I feel proud to have a part of him and the band forever on my skin. He is a fucking legend. We are so lucky to live in these times to witness how his mind makes life sound.
wow, its crazy to know that we won't be able to witness greatness in the likes of Tom, what an amazing writer, musician, and member of the band, you'll be missed greatly tom, rest easy buddy. R.I.P
People forget that some tones will sound awful when they are played by themselves, but in the mix of the full song with other instruments, it will fit in its place much better
that small fizz may not be as much when recorded twice for left and right channels.. Even so, one can eq that out after recording. And it won't pass thru on a real amp
it souds like shit because is directly connected to the recording device without an impulse response from a cab, i tried putting on a cab impulse and it sounds awesome.
rest in peace tom your guitar parts were fucking inspirational and the guitar was always my favorite aspect of architects, didn't listen too much but i always noted how exceptional you were
This video is what got me into Architects and now they're my favorite band. Tom and the rest of Architects changed my life and made me want to be a better person in this world.
I won't even give you the simple version. I just found Lost Forever Lost Together last night and I didn't even know you died. Rest In Peace, my friend.
+greatvanzinni hi i have a boss me 50, but i really want this patches but how can i get them i downloaded the program but i need a boss me 80 to actually open up the archive with the patches
+metallica1687 Sadly that is true. Same for the ME 70. Good news is they do have I am pretty sure patches for the ME 25. With all the new stuff we should start seeing used 25's, 80's, & even GT 100's floating about at good prices.
All me80 users... I found a kickass back to make it sound very left fuzzy... Use your headphone jack or your rec out while you go out through lmono to the mixer
Notice how thick that last string is, and also, that his 3rd string is wounded as well. Your standard gear will not sound as wicked as Architects right out of the gate.
3 years late but they used a really weird tune… I believe F# on the 6 string… I don’t remember the rest But to me his 6 string works as a 7 string and his 5 as a 6 … and I think you get what I mean hopefully 😅
Some great sounds there, I may try and figure out how I can get something similar on my line 6 well demoed (if that's how it's spelt) so that'll make it easier to find something similar
Posted before reading he's passed away, sorry to the family, friends and fans... Lifetime fan of BOSS and Using ME-70 in all my playing vids... /w\PEACEthruMETAL/w\
Why do all the fucking legends die? RIP Tom Searle and Justine Lowe (After The Burial) - Cancer and depression takes away too many good souls way too soon.
We are all in this together.
RIP Tom.
Your music is my greatest escape RIP Tom

Lost forever, together.
Modern//Raptor MDRNTM god only knows why we were born to burn
I could honestly listen to patch 7 forever...
Miss this guy so fucking much
reefrunner That’s a song of Architects?
Exactly my thoughts.. Those ambient sounds are heaven like 3:49
Rip
Tom is so real and relaxing to listen to on or off the guitar.
"Find a little light and hold it close
Don't lose sight of what matters most"
You'll be forever remembered Tom, an inspiration to so many. Xx
Please, just come back. Wake up and come back, you don’t understand how much this planet needs you. I just want you to wake up, please...
Simon Roth-Kalla 💔
I wish I was an Architects fan when Tom was alive he was an incredible and enigmatic personality. Rest in Peace Tom. ❤
I miss you so much man..
The songs I recognized :
The opening riff - Dead Man Talking
0:33 - Gravedigger
1:08 - Naysayer
1:48 - he has never used an octave pedal before, so this is just a riff
2:12 - Weʼre All Alone
2:40 - Colony Collapse
3:20 - No clue, but similar to Heartburn
3:48 - C.A.N.C.E.R (although the tempo is different unlike to showed up in the video)
4:21 - The Devil Is Near
Correct me if I was wrong anywhere.
The third one is probably something he made up on the spot, as he said he never used an octave pedal before
3:48 it’s C.A.N.C.E.R. The part where Dan grooves on drums
@@pliniogsnascimento, there is another style of playing, it doesnʼt sound like C.A.N.C.E.R

I’d have traded my health for this young man’s, he’s given so much more than I ever will.

RIP Tom

Which song is this from?
The video was uploaded on 2015, but sounds like a Gone With The Wind melody part.

Amazing musician and seriousley beautiful writing . RIP TOM
RIP Tom. You've touched so many lives through your talent. You will truly be missed

Not really, i can really hear that there's a mistake here, the tone sounds thin and faded.
which is intended in some cases.. so....
It always depends on how you use it in context.

Yeah the ME80 also has a very artificial sound too and can be tricky to dial in a tight tone
Rest In Peace Tom.. :( you were truly an inspiration to all of us..
Rest in piece, such a talented and professional musician

Boss Tone Central has some really good tones loaded up. Not fizzy or weak or anything. Pretty impressive actually.
