- Abhijeet Bertino has lived a long life free as a bird, with countless lovers, raising two sons on his own, and working as a highly successful chef. However, after retiring, he ended up feeling lonely in his big apartment, which is why he decided to sell the place and move into the Pleasantivew Nuring Home. Enter Makoto St. Julien, world traveller and jack of all trades, returning to the small town where he grew up to live out his life in retirement. Together, they prove that becoming an elder sim does not mean that your life is over: far from it.
The Sims do surprise and make you giggle especially in Sims 2. Thank you for entertaining on a late Saturday evening Anie. Loved this episode as it also made me think on how quickly time flies by for all of us. Looking forward to many more episodes.

Having a nursing home or a retirement home makes playing the elders so much more fun in this game. Loved how you gave Abhijeet and Makoto a really nice and full day. 🥰 They both have such an interesting life and it's nice to see Abhijeet spending time with his sons too.

Your Sims accomplish so much every single day it blows my mind haha. I like how you make the most of every single Sim day - I guess that's the trade-off I make using the Community Lot Time mod aha, it's interesting how we each try to find the right timing balance in TS2.
Also this episode was super cute. Lots of really nice ideas for making the elder lifestage a little more exciting! Makoto's date was adooooorable and I liked how much the Sims just sat and chatted - very realistic for the older generations ☺️

This is so different and so cool! I really enjoyed the histories for these two guys, the family dynamics, the different interests, and the place itself. I remember it vividly from the machinima you did (and that was amazing). It's good that they come from different backgrounds too.
The decoration is perfect for the retirement home, or assisted living actually. The curtains are formal, the wallpaper elegant, furniture looks expensive, and that kitchen is obviously designed to create meals for both a large number of diners and diners who expect good food.
I loved the date - what a fun surprise at the hot tub! I'd thought the health club was an odd place to go on a date but this one works beautifully. The library club is a wonderful idea.
I think I may know what's wrong with the lighting. It's like when you're on the ground floor and looking up at a two story room without a ceiling, it's dark on the second floor, the lighting isn't there. I've read that you can fix this by building an invisible wall (one of those options from Numenor) along the roof outside that top floor. I saw a demonstration but of course can't remember where. I don't go to a lot of places so maybe it was mod the sims. Anyway, that's probably why it's dark on the second floor.

This video popped up in my recommended videos and oh my gosh, I am so excited to have found your channel! I am going to watch your videos from the very beginning and I get the feeling a binge watching session is happening today. I am always looking for TS2-players on youtube and new LPs to watch and yours seems awesome. I can tell you've put so much thought and work into your 'hood and it really inspires me to want to try out different things in my own game. I love playing the way I do, but I know there are so many things you can do in this game that I've never tried and detailed 'hoods like this and watching how other players play their game really make me want to try new things in my own game. I am excited to watch your very first video from this LP right away and I'm happy I have 40+ videos to catch up on, haha :) Keep up the awesome work! :)

Great episode! I often make a "retirement home" of sorts in my hood for some of the elderly sims I don't want to play living on their own 😂 makes it a bit more interesting!

@@AniBatsI'm here again, inspired by your retirement home. In what kind of schedule do you have nurses and nursing home attendants working in the retirement home on the work days? To prevent losing vacation days / job performance.
Aw thank you, Sanna 🥰 Actually I haven't figured it out perfectly yet. Since nurses start at 7 if I don't misremember I think they should be fine for two or three hours from that. But since I'm anxious 😂 I make Melissa unselectable as soon as I've had her serve breakfast and tidy up the bedrooms and bathrooms. Then I make her selectable again around 13 briefly to serve lunch and I think that has worked, but sadly I'm still in the trial and error stage so I can't make promises.

I just found you when just looking for a new sims 2 let's play to get into! Got so excited when o heard you accent, I'm also Swedish so I look forward to seeing your content even more now. I've actually been meaning to start a channel to play sims 2 etc but been procrastinating it for years, and only recently decided I'd do it in English instead of Swedish to not make it too niche.
