Lovely video as always, Ani! I’ve used a 3-day season mod for years and it does cause some issues with snow build up, but there’s a mod on MTS called More Snow in Winter that effectively solves that. Highly recommend if you wanted to give shorter seasons another try. 😊
Oh wow thank you!!! I'll definitely give it another go, this is exactly what I needed. Out of curiosity, another "issue" I noticed with the shorter seasons was that the sims didn't recognize that they should wear outerwear in winter. Do you also use the "Temperature Changes for Summer and Winte" mod by the same creator to fix this? I think I'll try it out and see what it does 😊
@@AniBatsI haven’t tried the Temperature Changes mod, but I’ve also never noticed an issue with my sims not changing into their outerwear while using the More Snow. I don’t use any other mods that affect temperature behaviors either.
Home weddings are always so lovely and nostalgic somehow. 🥰 Also such a cute detail to see Jihoon reading the article about himself. Love how that paper gives so much more character and immersion now. 😊 The bar definitely looked so much more lively and looks so fun to play. Love how the adjustments worked and got it to how you envisioned it.
So yesterday was my first day off in what feels like non-stop working for months. I spent it with a sims video marathon, mostly yours, (and doing a gazillion loads of laundry 😂). Perfect day to finally get some relaxation and catch up on what I have been missing. 🥰

I'm so invested in your Pleasantview, this really feels like the next best thing if I can't play my own hoods. ❤ Plus watching your videos is so relaxing with everything (still and always) looking so perfect and aesthetically pleasing. Stories captivating as always. I do usually watch them later at night to relax after a long day, but when I do that, I miss all kinds of details and I usually don't comment since I'm already on standby mode myself. 🤖
I'm still watching the EP haha, but just a comment on the bar - it was charging the Sims correctly, if you watch back the footage you see a $15 simoleons charge at 49:59 when the drink is placed in front of the Sim 😊 It got added to his family funds too I'm fairly sure!Also I think there are some handy mods to stop the bartenders from constantly stopping tending the bars, I know there is one on MTS called "casual jobs fix" which helps a lot.
I like to use the customer limit adjuster on these "entertainment" lots to double the default amount of visitors maxis would send them, it feels fair that a new bar would be a little quiet and first and then grow in popularity 😊

Yeah I agree, it makes a lot of sense for the entertainment kind of community lots to have more people than the standard. It was my first time trying the limit adjuster but it's such a great mod!
This wedding was so different to the last but yet still so lovely😍 I had someone recently asking me about making the no jealousy trait compatible with Simler90’s romantic standards and I think they were trying to have a go at doing it so hopefully they’ll share if they do! I’m not sure if that would even effect the way children behave towards their parents moving on though 🤔 Another mod I’ll add to my never ending list of ideas I might eventually get round to! I think ideally it would be based on the child’s relationship to the partner, so if they liked them they’d be ok with it otherwise they’d still be annoyed, doesn’t sound easy to do off the top of my head though! It turns out that there is a mod that fixes it after all! I had thought that I had already tried it and that it hadn't worked, but now I got some helpful comments about it again and tried it a second time: and it totally worked 🥳 It's a mod on MATY called "Romance Mod". You go onto this link and select the directory of the latest EP you have, and it'll be on there: www.moreawesomethanyou.com/ffs/ While trying to find info on this, I also saw that another user had gotten good results from combining the Romance Mod with Cyjon's "Less Jealousy": cyjon.net/node/402 So I've got both now, and that did the trick! But yeah it would be awesome if the no jealousy trait could be made compatible with the RS mod - being able to customize the jealousy or lack thereof to each individual sim would be absolutely perfect. @@AniBats so glad you found a solution😊 I used to use the Romance Mod but I’m pretty sure at least most of its features are also in MidgeTheTree’s version of Romantic Standards which is the one I use
23:30 No Jealousy mod only covers sims from being not jealous towards their own love interests unfortunately. Though I would love to see a mod that could stop sims from being mad that their parents are in a throuple but time will tell
also, theres an aromantic mod that works just like the asexual mod but towards crushes and love rarely if never forming and allowing that sim to do woohoo and make out without falling in love or even having crushes, so maybe jihoon fits in that category 🫣

Ah thank you for recommending the aromantic trait! That could definitely be interesting to use for the right sim ❤ I do view Jihoon as a pretty romantic guy though, so maybe not for him, but for sure there could be plenty others to use it for.

I have a question. Since Christian Love and Waylon Fairchild are townies and they don’t have anyone to live with do you think you can put them in the nursing home. So that way they can live somewhere in town if you don’t know what to do with them. And it would give Abjheet and Komei some other people to talk to lol.
Yes absolutely, great point! I've actually already moved Christian Love into the retirement home. I think I'll wait a bit with Waylon though - I like seeing him move around the hood repairing stuff. But for sure, he'll be moved in there as well eventually.
i did some digging about the divorced parents step-parent jealousy. according to an mts post, if you use the sim manipulator to disable jealousy it prevents the negative reactions, or a combination of pescado's romance mod + cyjon's less jealousy achieves the same result.
unfortunately a direct fix to this jealousy issue is kind of hard to find since searching for anything to do with jealousy in ts2 sends me straight to romantic jealousy mods... dang. maybe a no jealousy trait would work, if that's something you can use with romantic standards?

I think we probably found the same thread while researching this - thank you so much for taking the time to do that, that's very sweet ❤ Funny thing is that like half a year ago when I first started to try to fix this, I found this thread and tried out both the Romance Mod and the Less Jealousy mod - and they didn't work! That's also why I tried with the no jealousy trait, which didn't work either, because I don't want to keep the sim manipulator always in my game. But for whatever reason, after I got some helpful comments after posting this, I decided to try those two mods again and they totally worked now!!! 🥳
@@AniBats that's great news! no more grumpy jealous teenagers. it's cute at first, but i would love to see if a clever modder could add decay on to this reaction so that they aren't having tantrums weeks later! i love jealousy in game but it does get annoying, unmodded jealousy is so wild!!! 🤣 had so many slapping-circles playing unmodded on my laptop. glad we can use such mods to tame it, yay ☺️

@@AniBats oh my thank you for the links! I have had Jules O'Macky got very angry over seeing both her parents movinv on, and had to be creative in intepreting this reaction. No more children unable to see their divorced parents as individuals deserving love!
