  • A bicycle ride across the Akrobaten pedestrian bridge (Akrobaten bro) in Oslo, Norway (September 2023). This 206 m long pedestrian bridge takes us across the railway tracks just East of Oslo Central Station from the Bjørvika area to Grønland.
We start by riding North from the Bjørvika area in Stasjonsallmenningen. This public space extends South to the Oslo fjord and includes seating, bike parking, shops, cafés and a playground. For more information see the links below.
Next we begin to cross the Akrobaten pedestrian bridge and head towards the Grønland area. The glass panels on the bridge provide for a nice view of Oslo Central Station to the West, Nordenga bridge to the East, and Bjørvika Barcode to the South. The bridge is also illuminated at night for evening walks.
Continuing along the bridge we soon see an elevator and stairs on the left. These lead to the platform for tracks 3 and 4 at Oslo Central Station. Beyond that, we start to near the end of the bridge where we see another staircase, elevator and ramp heading down to Annette Thommessens plass.
Length of bike ride: 475 m
