Just finished it yesterday. My favorite that I've built. You definitely get what you pay for, this is the most solid kit of this basic stature that I've dealt with.
What I love about kits like this is that they're already so or ate in design that you don't even have to paint it to make it stand out. Perfect for beginners and lazy builders.
The part count is quite low (around the same size as the Delta Plus) for being $60. Get this if you're fan of the Zeta Gundam or if you just like the design in general. But if you prefer complex and lengthy build, with $60 you can get bigger kits like the Sinanju Stein or the Turn X or even the upcoming Fenice which costs around $50.
Hey Zach!! I don't know if you'll see this but i thought you might like to know i picked up a 2.0 just now and giving the runners a look over it seems like bandai actually changed the gate marks on the beam sabers (no gates on the sides of the beam saber handle just top and bottom ones), wrists and upper thigh (possibly the binders too but i couldn't really tell) and may have possibly changed the coating process?
Great Review and AWESOME KIT, one of my instant faves upon completing it. I would say the only thing really missing is waterslides because I really really hate stickers. Keep awesome reviews coming :D
you could use the extra seated piolet for the sinanju stein nar. since it didn't come with one, I just got this kit today so that's what im going to do. it might not be correct but hey its better than nothing
Gold runners are always going to have the worst nub markers, but I have a golden gundam marker for that. I know because I have a MG gundam unicorn phenex which my god so many noticable nub marks and a fustrating build but turned out to be a very beautiful gundam. I always wanted a hyaku-shiki gundam so I went ahead and bought this today.
I just finished the suit today. Awesome suit. I am a total Zeta fanboy (I like the mobile suits in ZZ...the story not so much.... some of it is good but for the most part it's to anime for me) so the Hyaku-Shiki was a total nobrainer. I finished off the quibley before that and im working on my pg zeta. awesome review.
Hi! I just got this kit and it's going to be my first or second non-HG build. I usually just do out of box with some lining. Any tips on how to do this kit justice, especially with all that gold that will leave really nasty looking gate marks?
I had trouble with the cockpit doors also. Even when I got them closed, they somehow worked their way open again. I just glued them closed, as I don’t really care about an opening cockpit gimmick. It’s cool, but I’ll never use it tbh.
@@nisnast Since then, I have built quite a lot, from high points like the Turn A, Jesta, and Acguy (seriously) to lows like the Kämpfer and Rick Dias, and the utterly mediocre like the various core block-based GM variations.
@@OuroborosChoked My first MG--after about 10 HGs and one RG--was the Sazabi Ver Ka. What a monster. I'm still slowly but surely getting the decals on it. Got the MG Hyaku-Shiki 2.0 waiting to go up next. :)
nice review man, and I do like this gold a lot better than the mechy plated old version and the poportions are much better to, I have this, but haven't done it yet, I am doing the dijeh first, because I am considering doing the blue in black and maybe add a little different shade of gold here and there, kind of like the one Naoki did, and the weapons with this and the dijeh are the same, the dijeh comes with the same runner as this kit, but comes with different handles for the gun and bazooka
Mr. Zaku. Question only? what action base should I buy on him? could you please advise? Thanks in advance. I'm always watching your Vids. Cheers from Qatar!!! :D
Zekiel Hoang It's almost TOO articulated, it can be hard to line everything up how you want. And the legs are pretty heavy. But I didn't have too much trouble.
There’s a lot of different products that work, depending on what’s available in your country. Ask around in a local group and someone will be able to tell you
This is a fairly common opinion, but I've never been really fond of that gold color. That being said, I absolutely LOVE the design of this MS. Those long legs and the big hands with that tiny waist, this is so anime. I want a kit with a similar build so I can have it do Jojo poses on my desk, lmao.
ive been wanting to buy this kit but worried about the over gated parts having dark nub marks similar to the gold parts of the shin musha, you think a simple little dab with a gold gundam marker will help?
yes yes yes - Zeta Gundam has a large collection of some of the gundam meta-verse's most beautiful and creative mobile suits of all time. Scirocco's personal line of MS are pure works of ingenious art from his introduction in the transformable mobile armor PMX-000 Messala to the Palace Athene up to the mighty monstrous 'The - O' - A.E.U.G's prototype masterpieces like the Hyaku Shiki and Zeta of course plus including the Mk. II with G-Defenser - and the Titans flexing their ingenuity through mass production units like the Asshimar and strange and interesting designs like the Hambrabi and Barzam. Hi-zacks upon Hi-zacks and the marasai --to name a few... not to mention the gorgeous hand drawn animation of that time and topic. fucks yea you should indulge in all that is Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. Enjoy!!! ZZ not so much. its not bad really its just that the cast is insufferable to experience.
By any chance do you know a online site were I could order replacement parts for bandai gundam model kits that are outside of blue fin distribution services?
is it worth 55$? want a hyaku shiki and this seems the way to go . also: vegeta did a tutorial on how to get wrid of chrome finish , wouldnt it be funny to get wrid of the gold and have a clear version of this ? XD
Steffey I think it's worth it. It's a great kit. And I think you can see photos of it with all the gold stripped (in translucent clear) on GameraBeanre
This is not really about the video, but... I need a little help. What cam do you use, what program do you use to edit. I have trouble with making my videos hi def. I use nikon d5200 the pictures are very hi def but the videos are quite awful.
mark cen I think Rrobbert184 experienced Gunpla burnout after several years of buying and reviewing them. He stopped halfway during Gundam Build Fighters. Last time around, he tried doing something different by reviewing Super Sentai toys, but that stopped after 3 or so episodes.
Thiago Monteiro Yeah, he was one of the reasons why I got back into Gunpla building, as his residence in Japan gave him advanced access to newer Gunpla. If he ever comes back to Gunpla building, he's got a lot to cover.

Would you recommend applying topcoat or will it ruin the nice gold finish that it comes with already?

4 years late but hey maybe someone will watch this video and be helped out. The video I linked is a guy testing out top coats on this kit specifically
Managed to win this in a prize draw, unbelievably excited now !

Honoka Kousaka I also notice this too

Very good kit. Maybe I pick this one soon.
Thanks for the review!
hoping an rg for this kit
Am still hoping

Still!!

Gate marks are inevitable for casual builders like you and me. Id look up a guide on how to reduce nub Marks
I had trouble with the cockpit doors also. Even when I got them closed, they somehow worked their way open again. I just glued them closed, as I don’t really care about an opening cockpit gimmick. It’s cool, but I’ll never use it tbh.
I think this is my favorite MG that I own. It’s either this one, or my Gundam Base blue and white RX-78 v3.0
This was the first MG I built and it set my expectations for MGs _WAAAAAY_ too high. :/
What other MGs have you built?

Looks great. I will definitely pick one up funds permitting. How do you think it would look with a coat or two of gloss over the gold?
Greetings from Puerto Rico. Great review. This kit is on amazon for $59, you think it's a good deal?
They should make this a ver ka. kit i think it would be a super detailed kit
i really like this gold, i wonder if there's a way to replicate this color in other kits
paint. like gold spray paints or using an airbrush
ima get this kit and repainted it to the delta plus colors

Very very nice
Yes Zack been waiting for this one :)
Is this kit still worth getting?
Mr. Zaku. Question only? what action base should I buy on him? could you please advise? Thanks in advance. I'm always watching your Vids. Cheers from Qatar!!! :D
action base 1 and 4 for 1/100 and 1/144 action base 2, 3 and 5 for 1/144 only
Does anyone know if this kit needs to be topcoated if using waterslide decals?
very good kit, but I having trouble to pose it with another action base. Do you have that problem?
Zekiel Hoang It's almost TOO articulated, it can be hard to line everything up how you want. And the legs are pretty heavy. But I didn't have too much trouble.
Hey zak,may I ask if I am painting this kit do I prime the kit first or what should I do?
I'm interested in painting this kit, how would i strip the paint from the gold runners without damaging the piece?
There’s a lot of different products that work, depending on what’s available in your country. Ask around in a local group and someone will be able to tell you
can I panel line it? with Tamiya accent black can should I topcoat semi gloss on gold to maintain the shining or gloss?
nice review man.anyway im still waiting for your review of the elyn hobby kshatriya...
Idk man, I regret the Delta Plus now.... I really need to get Hyaku Shiki 2.0. ....
Do you know of any good gold markers to cover up the nub marks with?
Is the color similar to tamiya titanium gold?
This is a fairly common opinion, but I've never been really fond of that gold color. That being said, I absolutely LOVE the design of this MS. Those long legs and the big hands with that tiny waist, this is so anime. I want a kit with a similar build so I can have it do Jojo poses on my desk, lmao.
Tyonidus you can get the clear version which is cheaper and paint it whatever color you want
Want to buy this kit. Can i panelline the gold coated parts?
How difficult of a build is the Shiki 2.0? I am pretty new to gunpla still.. I've only built a few 1/100 NG kits and the MG Astray Red Frame Kai.
Xephonia it's a easy build
ive been wanting to buy this kit but worried about the over gated parts having dark nub marks similar to the gold parts of the shin musha, you think a simple little dab with a gold gundam marker will help?
You won't have to worry about that as pretty much everything is undergated.
ZakuAurelius sweet, coz i noticed on solid parts they have it but i feel i can get over it
Does this kit came with water slide decal or dry Decal??
You can check out my unboxing video, or always chedk dalong.net for that kind of info! ^^
+ZakuAurelius Thanks 😅
One stupid question, should I watch zeta GUNDAM
Yes it's worth watching

This MS is probably one the best designs from gundam.
you know what gundam with big hands have...
big beamsaber handels
By any chance do you know a online site were I could order replacement parts for bandai gundam model kits that are outside of blue fin distribution services?
i know this video is almost 2 years old, but would you reccomend this gunpla if I can get it for around 36 dollars?
Muladi Ajisasmito yes! Absolutely
ZakuAurelius thanks for your reply

Gunpla Builder Factory I use a Canon 7D and Adobe Premiere Pro!
What's your iso and shutter speed. I also use premiere..
Gunpla Builder Factory iso never more than 800, and always 30fps
Thx, I will try to solve my probelm.
parts on this kit looks like they can break easily.... especially the hip-legs joint....
I want to paint the frame white
Oh i see thanks...
What topcoat can be used for the gold parts? Thanks!
Gloss if you want it shiny, matte if you want it dull gold
this kit the weapon accesorries almost similar to RE100 DEJIH...but nice kit anyways
+dhenz vismonte Not just similar, they are exactly the same! But we just get different handle parts for the Dijeh.
@ZakuAurelius, the extra ammo piece for the Shiki's bazooka is for the Dijeh's bazooka.
Your review reminds me with robberrt..what happened to that guy anyway?

I keep wanting to get this kit, but I can’t unsee him having pants that are too small.
doesn't look like you'd even need to paint this
Leggy boi
Damn
is this smaller than a normal msster grade?
d d d d d d d d dd d dd d d d d d d d d d no
What is the most hard kit had you done
im gonna gues probably one of the perfect grades
And what kit is the most esay because I won't to begin with one esay
easiest is definently first and entry grade kits.
Is this the same inner frame as the delta plus?
No
