Always make it at least 3-4°f differential, allow the coil to thaw so it doesn’t freeze buddy, would have gone with a KE2 control or A421 with defrost, ranco’s are also good controls but you need a defrost with it
Thank you for the advice. Next visit I will check up on this unit and make the necessary adjustments if needed. I need to look into this KE2 control as another person mentioned it in the comments. PENN is a solid choice. I like how those controls you mentioned have defrost built in. Thanks for watching & pointers 🤙🔧⚡️
Very informative on how to wire these digital temp controls for walk in boxes. I’ve always had a hard time wrapping my head around the wiring for them but come to find out it’s pretty simple. Would like to see a 240 volt wiring vid for the digital controller
Always nicer to be working in a new box like what you filmed. I like the convenient disconnect for the evap fans. Anytime you can discuss wiring in more detail is very helpful. Please discuss each configuration in that Ranco manual. I mainly install Penn A421s or Penn A19s. Thank you.
Thats for sure! The disconnect definitely made things a lot easier. I will make a few videos in detail regarding this control and ones similar mentioned in the comments. I need to look into that A421 as I've never used it before. This was my first time using the Ranco control. I usually install the Penn A19s as well. Thanks for watching & stay tuned 🤙🔧⚡️
Jumper man, nice video and explanation. I prefer having my hot lines same color and neutral same. That wiring can be so confusing for greenhorn refrigeration technicians. Jumper should have been red as well. It avoids confusion. Good practice is hot line keep same color.
Thank you! I totally hear you with the color codes. It was the only color wire I had supplied. Definitely good practice. Appreciate the sound advice 🤙🔧⚡️
Awesome. I'm definitely going to do a few videos on this control and go into detail. Also a few other similar controls that people are mentioning in the comments. Thanks for watching! Enjoy your weekend 🤙⚡️
Great Video. Thank you for sharing. I'm waiting for watch those video. I want to learn more about refrigeration. Please. Make tutorial detail video, so new apprentice can learn. Thank you and Have a nice weekend .
Never seen or heard of that one before but I see another person mentioned it in the comments as well. I need to look into it. Sounds interesting. 2 for 1 deal! Thanks for watching & thank you for the heads up 🤙⚡️
I recently ran into a 3p condensing unit paired with single phase evaporator a company couldn’t get to work properly. They had no N for evaporator. I ended up taking a 120 N from light in box. I know that’s not best or code but what else could I do without replacing stuff completely. Thoughts?
Its cool you made it work that way. If the light is on a seperate breaker and that's all that it's paired to, check the breaker size. Evaporator fans doesn't really draw much amperage. If it can hold and it's only the light connected, I think it's fine but I would recommend they get an electrician in to run a dedicated line/breaker to that evaporator/blower assembly. Let them know this was a temporary repair. Thanks for watching!
Was there Mexican music in the background or something? Because there's def Mexican music playing always haha its actually a mix of stuff on the menu. Mainly American and just basic stuff really. Hotel food. Thanks for watching!

Thermostats are always interesting to me.
Me too! This one was fun because I had to manipulate the wiring to make it work. First time installing this control 🔧⚡️Thanks for watching!

Short to the point and always very interesting and friendly thank's again JMT and your colleague 👍👍👍💯💥💥💥
Glad you found this video interesting. You're very welcome & thank you! Much appreciated 🙏🔧🤙⚡️
Does the control lose power when the condenser goes into a defrost?
KE2 is way to go nowadays for single units. It eliminates defrost time clocks. 😊

Why dod you not show the wiring hook up for the solenoid valve. It would have been nice
With that controller in a Walkin it should be 36 out with a 3* diff
Makes sense. Range in that 35-40 degree range. Thank you for the heads up. Much appreciated. Thanks for watching!
X2 this is a off cycle defrost system so the more off time the better but systems are always different
👍💪🇺🇸❄️ great work thanks for sharing
Thank you Shine!🙏🇺🇲🤙🔧⚡️Much appreciated
Enjoy your weekend
@JumpermanTech u too pal

A box that small, 2° diff is fine.
Awesome. Good to know 🤙⚡️ Thanks for watching!
