- After spending 3 nights in Pordenone Italy our luggage finally arrived. For us it wasn’t a big problem, other then worrying that our luggage might have been destroyed by the second storm that hit Dubai. Our initial plans were to shop for clothes while visiting Europe anyway. This was just a good excuse for us to shop at the local weekend market sooner rather than later.

Joe, I understand Gift's reticence to hug people she doesn't know yet. Its rather normal. Kudos to Chris as he is doing well by you. I had a recent experience about that. My love NEVER was hugged so many times in her life when she visited here. Gift is in good hands. Not doubt about it. And I like that you are smart enough to do the right thing. Looking forward to the rest of your journey. Also know you will be so exhausted after this trip and take some good rest when you both get back home.

Great looking vintage and "muscle" cars; my generation and passion too. Myself ......owned a 1956 Black Chevrolet Belair 2dr hard top coupe with a 283 cu in engine, 2.02 valve Corvette heads, low rise Corvette Edelbrock manifold w/ two Carter AFB 500cfm carbs, M22 "Rock Crusher" 4 speed manual transmission with a 4.11 ratio rear end, 9 in "cheater slicks" which posted a 14.20 second time at Lyons Drag Strip in Wilmington, CA

Watching you visit Italy really is making me want to go visit my old base area in Germany. Looking forward to seeing your trip to Germany. I was there when we had West and East Germany and watched the wall come down.

@@thaigirlgiftforeignerjoe7774 man it was so much fun living in West Germany from 87-90 as an 18 year old! Outdoor music festivals on weekends or traveling through Germany and other countries. They had changed the drinking age in America to 21 then and we didn’t have to worry about that there.

The military equipment brings out memories for me too, even before you said it on the video. Was drafted in May 1970; went to Frankfurt Germany while twin brother went to Vietnam. Participated in the Reforger 1 joint exercise between the US forces and German forces on TDY; assigned to the 3rd Armored Division at Drake Kaserne commanded by MG Rosenberg. Hoorah!

Carbonara looked outstanding with proper lumps of bacon, and the tiramisu.
Don’t know what’s going on with the weather in Europe- I am in Uk and we are still getting ground frosts which is unusual for April, but then the whole world seems upside down at present.

I feel for you because it is not nice to travel from the heat to the cold. I experience it every time I come home from Thailand to Sweden, from 30+ to -5 to -10 C. It takes a long time to get used to. Strangely, it only takes 30 sec. the other way 😅

These European vlogs are inspirational Gift and Joe. Pordenone is a very attractive Italian town away from all the tourist traps and is giving Gift a chance to experience the "real" Italy. Loved the market, but I have to say Joe, that I don't think that you have left the military yet, in your mind, as all that you showed us that you bought was in army green! 🤣😂That evening meal had my mouth watering with the beautiful spaghetti carbonara and the clams cooked to perfection. Gift, my wife was like you, always thinking of Thai food or more specifically Isaan food, when we went to England. So once a week, we managed to find a noodle shop or a Thai restaurant where she could get her fix, despite all the other delicious food that was on offer. So glad that your luggage has finally turned up! You will now be able to enjoy your holiday to the max without having to spend extra money on clothes. Can't wait for the next instalment. Asians can physically get sick if they don’t eat something they are used to. I know it might not be authentic as Thailand but you might want to surprise gift with a Thai restaurant if you can find one. I bet she will really appreciate it.
I’m hopeful that we will find several Thai restaurants as we continue to travel Europe.

When I went to visit a friend for the first time in Spain, one of her friends gave me a European two-cheek kiss greeting and it felt very awkward but I got used to it.
It does take some getting use too. I use to say, I’ve never been kissed by so many ladies until I moved to Italy 🇮🇹😊

What does Europe make today? Economy is tanking like most of the Western world. Don't take this the wrong way but you 70 Euro jacket is from China like most everything these days. You could have bought it in Bangkok for a fraction. Oh well, enjoy.
If you buy branded clothes the price is at least the same in Bangkok as Europe. For brand shoes is the same.
It all comes out of the same factory
