Great video. I'm doing my kitchen, the corners are not perfect right angles is it best to use two wall units to make a corner as a corner cupboard uses packers each side.
Hi Roy so sorry for late reply. Thank you. Yes I would recommend 2 units rather than a corner unit. As like you said if the corners not perfect it can be a pain! Good luck mate !
Nice man very helpful seeing the whole process makes considering installing your own kitchen much less intimidating as a non builder. Is the kitchen always installed before any new flooring? And the splash back installed after the bench?
Hi Mash thanks for the comment. Sorry for the late reply. Either or really. I like laying the floor after just in case it gets damaged when fitting the kitchen. Also you save a few quid because your not laying as much. But to be honest if you can lay the floor first and protect it that would be best. Also splash back sit straight on top of worktops, hope that helps mate
Always sit your kitchen directly onto the substrate, never sit it on decorative flooring unless it’s glued down solid wood or tiles or polished concrete etc. NEVER sit it on laminate flooring or any floating floor including karndean or amtico etc as your kitchen will sink over time, might only be half a millimetre but that’s enough to cause issues.
Thanks for the video mate! I'll be attempting my own kitchen as it looks pretty much straight forward! ....I hope you don't mind but when I do this with my son, I'd like to use "...and that's that!" after I finish a section lol
Thank you. Most do need scribing But some companies end panels are the same width as the units so they can’t be scribed in. I know howdens are like that. There is always enough length to scribe to floor tho. Hope that helps 👍
Good for skilled people. BUT you really should explain how to install step by step as title said "how to" . Maybe do next video explaining in more detail like a dummies guide . Also what was the cost for the kitchen ? does it compare with Howdens or WREN. Thanks for taking the time
Good Morning. Every day is a learning day for me. I Know I should have taken more time with the vids! I will on the next one. Thanks for your feed back! This particular kitchen from a company called Gallery which are based in Eastbourne. Are a small company that make bespoke kitchens to any size or colour. Top quality! So to be honest they are probably double the price of Howdens and wren! I fit a lot of Howdens and wren kitchens.I prefer Howdens as most stuff is in stock but obviously they don’t have the big showroom to show customers like wren do. Very similar quality in my opinion
Hey always recommend apprenticeships but it’s difficult to find company’s Willing to take apprentices on. I done carpentry at college and the guy teaching us just read it from a book without any site experience. But this day and age it’s best to go college to get the certificated. So you have more options like site work . Hope that helps good luck :)
Hey mate, do you wanna go fit my kitchen for me in Tanzania (an hour away from Zanzibar) if I pay for your flight? not a joke. U could have a nice little break. Shipping my kitchen there in the summer, maybe sooner
Hey thanks for the comment. I would love to but due to COVID restrictions I don’t think they would let me I. The country. Good luck with it all. Hope all goes smoothly for you.
I use a combination square to set the feet height. Great video, some good pointers here. Thank You.
Like the tip for removing plinth. I’ve got a few of them in the garage. One will be going in the van👍🏻
Thanks mate. Hope it helps.
I love it, it looks gorgeous.
Thank you very much Karen
Hi Gorge. I’m fitting a Wren kitchen at the moment, so nice to see how you fitted that kitchen. Top job mate, looks amazing. Well done 👍
Thank you 😊
Amazing work! It looks beautiful.
Thank you very much
Great work, it's not the most informative video, it's sped up so we don't see most of what's happening, great work tho👌

Shouldn't the cuttings in the wall, where the cables are for the sockets, be plastered/rendered before fitting the kitchen units?
Can be done first mate. Some times it’s nice to get the worktops/splash backs on then plaster down onto them.
Tidy job mate
Thanks mate
Please send the link for this kitchen unit company
hi thanks for this great work, any links where to buy this kitchen unit pls??
Hey thanks for watching. Here’s the company that supplied this kitchen. galleryfurniture.co.uk/About-us
There website is pretty pants tho sorry 😝
Hi would like to see a link to the company
Hi can you send me a link for this kitchen supplies please
With the knowledge you know would you recommend going college to learn kitchen fitting or apprenticeship?

Hi buddy,is the gallery kitchens more expensive than Howdens ,thanks
Hi. Yes I’d say around double the price. Howdens have got there yearly biggest sale on at the mo. I’ve just ordered one for a job
Where did u get the kitchen from?
Hi thank you :) This kitchen was bought from a local company in Eastbourne. Gallery Furniture Systems is there name.

Hi If it was a install only. I’d say around 2000
how much for u to do this kitchen in my 1 bed flat?
Hi sorry for late reply. Basic kitchen with minor electrics and plumbing easy access to flat £1000 I’d imagine.
@@everlastbuilders thats just the fittin
@@Retailgurl-e4j yes just fitting cost
Can you send a link pls.
galleryfurniture.co.uk/About-us website is a bit 💩 apologies
What company is this?
galleryfurniture.co.uk
Poor guys hasn’t got a nob! 😂
would have done the floor first , no ?
Solid floor like tiles yes. Floating floor like laminates not recommended.
Unless the floor is completely level I don't see a point in measuring the legs for the plinths
It helps mate. Just to get a rough guide. Saves a little time on the floor adjusting feet
Builders shouldn’t be allowed near kitchens.
Haha yes that’s what I tell my Mrs on a daily basis
