Y'all stop crying about his name change. It's his personal experience, it's not the same for everybody.
Until we start telling ourselves the truth.
Some people actually do not know the implications and meaning of their names, some of our forefathers worship and had name after their idols which indeed cause retrogression. If anyone chose to change his grandfathers name for whatever reason, should that be a case for criticism?
Some names actually had effect on the bearer and many are suffering for sins they knew nothing about

I disagree with the name change issue. Osho in Egba language is Ola (wealth). Shone for example means Osho mi ti de (my wealth is here). It is not wizard. I don't mind name changing but his interpretation of his previous name is wrong.
You can't know the meaning of his name more than him. It was his family name and he has the history why the ancestors chose to bear it.

The comment section is full of people who do not understand his background. Their criticism of him is terribly unfair! You will even see people who haven't discovered who they are saying all sorts about him. The gentleman simplified a journey of 35 years in 2 hours! That is impressive! He's certainly not perfect and I don't think he pretended about his imperfection! You can even still see some traits of his rascal past in his voice and narratives!

The man appears very brilliant and highly successful, however he seems unnecessarily superstitious. Your name has absolutely nothing to do with your fate in life. There are several people who their names begin with osho “wizard” who nevertheless are prominent people who are well known the world over. Example is Chief Awolowo, Shonekan, Shotomi etc

In the scriptures, God did not change people's last names, i.e., surnames; He changed their first names.
Okay , he changed his last name, and it works for him . If it's first , name that doesn't glorify God change it or last or middle .
I don't have a problem with people changing their surnames, but my concern is using scriptures to support it. There is no biblical support for such a thing. The scripture says that if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creature. The old things have passed away, and all things have become new. No one needs to change their name for things to work.
