I am from Indiana (my early yrs) and we went on boat trips down the Ohio and Kentucky River. We lived on our boat for 2 weeks. The Greatest memories ever. Even the guys that ran the Locks on the river were super nice. You Kentucky people are friendly. enjoyed
Thanks for the shout out! You know I watch until the end. Usually on the weekend before my coffee, or energy drink in my case. Although this weekend we were pretty busy, so catching up on Monday.
That’s the only place we camp. Love it! We we’re in A15 and left the day before the derby. Must have just missed you. The one and only time we were in A13 it rained and stormed 5 days. Lighting struck the tree next to us and knocked out our power. We like 12 too but 29 is our favorite.
We did just miss you!! Too funny! Well it sounds like you’ll be there if we go again lol We’ll have to take another look at A29.. The KY rain has been crazy this Spring!
Hey guys. We have Sunday morning coffee with you every week, and love your content. We also love COE campgrounds. And now we cant wait to go to some in Kentucky. Maybe we will be lucky enough to run into yall. Stay safe.
Thanks so much! Hope we make your coffee time enjoyable! KY has some nice campgrounds, but could stand to welcome in a few new ones. We’re doing a video soon about some good family friendly places around. Thanks for tuning in! ☕️☕️cheers!!
Sunday morning coffee with Our next Adventure, every Sunday. I do like the world famous bike tours! From SW VA its a 6 hour drive to that campground. It looks nice, I may have to try it out.
Thanks so much for tuning in during your coffee time ☺️ We hope we make it pleasant. 6 hrs is a bit of a distance, but on a June Summer day, Baileys waterfront sites might be worth it!
Bailey's Point (COE campground) was my local camping destination when I lived just North of there in Glasgow KY. Like most COE campgrounds, they aren't open year round. Also, from April til September, you have to reserve well in advance to get a sight on a weekend day and holiday weeks get booked 6 months in advance. When I moved back to TN, Cage's Bend (Hendersonville TN) and Cedar Creek (Mount Juliet TN) are my local COE campgrounds on Old Hickory Lake. All are very quiet and away from the bustle of the world.
We have had three different campers with slides until we purchased a 2005 Classic Airstream 30’. We don’t miss the slides at all and have more room than we ever thought we would and don’t worry about slides breaking or the pain on setup. Airstream quality is the best!! Try and you will see this is our last camper!! Love your channel we live in Goshen Ky.
Oh hey KY neighbors! Yeah, we’ve looked at few! Just waiting on the right one to fall in love with! Good to know you don’t miss the slides, and you’re right, we’re fans of less to go wrong!
You guys need to check out Defeated Creek Campground near Carthage Tn. It's a Core of Engineering campground. Full hook ups at 29.00 a night. Hard to get in though.
I’m from Kentucky too! We got our camper at the beginning of the pandemic and we have not stopped since. Stumbled across your videos today by chance and I love them. Going to try Baileys Point. I’m writing down the ones that look good to me. Also anchor down I’ve been wanting to try that one for ages
Looks like an awesome campground we are in Forrest Bo Woods in Sullivan, Illinois this weekend for Granddaughter's graduation. We really like Corp of Engineer campgrounds! We hope to do a loop down into Kentucky do some camping within the next year or two. Thanks....yes I watched all the way through! 🙂
Yeah, COE’s are great! We’re currently filming a video on KY campgrounds so hopefully that’ll be helpful soon. Thanks so much for hanging out with us! 😎 Congrats to granddaughter!
COE campgrounds are usually near water, so side to side (front to back)leveling is necessary to allow for water run off into the lake . Actually B45 and 46 are listed as electric sites. Also for seniors with the interagency pass card it’s only $14 a night
Also I’m from Elizabethtown, we’ve wanted to go to Baileys point, just haven’t made it yet. Mosquitoes are attracted to estrogen 😳 and O+ blood type, I think A+ is the best for not attracting mosquitos
Yeah we liked 45&46 for that reason. Love to have electric! Lol We hear about the senior discounts a lot from our parents who also camp. They like to tell us all about it & rub it in how cheap they can camp 😂
@@sheriwells1930 Ahh ok, yeah there’s better campgrounds in south central KY, Etown’s have been taken over by work camps because of Ford. We have a video coming up soon on good, family KY campgrounds. We’re always hoping to see some better ones pop up! But hey, we’re getting a Bucee’s in Smiths Grove, and that’s pretty awesome 😎
Looks like a nice campground at a great price. We broke down in KY once and I remember how green it is but I also remember having to pull tick after tick off of my dogs.
Just wait till you turn 62 . You get the America the Beautiful Lifetime Senior card and all COE Parks are half price. Like your 28.00 would be only 16.00
Funny, a couple people have also asked. It’s a cute design! But actually I got it a local KY store, which is a Fruit of the Loom Outlet store. Bowling Green is home to the Fruit of the Loom manufacturing plant and there’s a store there, but they don’t have an online ordering option. They just have some KY designs they print in their shop. You might try Etsy for a similar design. Or if you’re creative on Canva, could make your own and have T-shirt shop print one. Sorry if that’s not helpful. What State, just curious?
@@jeff953 Oh awesome! I tried to look on Etsy and found similar designs but not quite the same. Well if you make a trip to BG, you could swing in there.
Looks like the best site in the whole campground!! Fruit of the Loom over in BG actually. Lol Several people have asked, it’s a fun design! They have several KY designs in there. But they don’t do online ordering.
That is so pretty there and I love all the trees until you said ticks fall from them...ahhhh! My husband and I can be sitting right next to each other and I will get bit to hell and he will not have any bites at all it is very fustrating!! So you guys did not bring your inflatable kayak's or do you not have them anymore. This was a great video and lovely place to add to my list...and there is nothing wrong with having a down day to recharge for sure! See you next week!
@@marknorwood107 Might check our I65 Video. But there might be a couple small family campgrounds near Bardstown you could Google. Can’t think of the names of them, maybe another commenter can help? The Trails are spread out all over KY so you really could stay just about anywhere depending on which ones you wanted to visit. Sorry if that’s not helpful. We like the Bourbon stops near Bardstown best. (Lux Row is a fave) But Duelling Grounds is also a fave near Franklin KY. They have good pizza! Lol thanks! World famous is definitely a stretch. Sure can fit a 33’, depends on the site but we’re 32’ and had no problem finding sites to accommodate.

Green grass and great trees. Really nice for a Corp of Engineers park. You have good reason to be proud of Kentucky
