decades back a swede put an old helicopter turbine engine in his vintage volvo and took it to drag racing events... the insane part was that that model of volvo had a gearbox where reverse just switched the direction of the gearbox... So he could go just as fast in reverse as forward.... He used to smoke tires going backwards down the drag strip and still winning races! :D

Whoever you got that 245 from really did it right. I saw the ipd sway bars when it was up on the lift. Those aren't cheap. I used to drive a 242 back in the day and always wanted to drop a V8 in it.

Welcome to the family. Hehe. I've got a Sleeper Wagon too. No stickers sept the 1.8T badge. I named it, "The Granny Sleeper". 😆 It is a 2004 VW Passat GL 5-Speed. 1.8T of course. Last Year +1/2 I've been replacing/upgrading any old parts in order for it to be able to handle the modifications and ecu adjustments. Not going insane with it, but she will lift up her skirt and go. Last year I took it to the car showd with my VW Club and certainly looking forward 2 bringing it this year around the Milwaukee, WI area. With tint, bilstein shocks+struts, front mount 2 replace sidemount intercooler, hopefully switch to E85 sooner rather than later as well as catback and all the fun stuff in between as it will be show worthy I am looking forward to it. 🫠

You need to get a set of power exhaust cut outs and run a whisper quiet exhaust on it with the cutouts running loud pipes. That way it will really be a sleeper.
