From what little context I can parse, in Japanese "Kakurenbo" is "hide and seek" in English. A line used to identify who is "it" in Japanese has the word "Oni" in it, but directly translating "Oni" into English can mean "Devil/Demon/Ogre". But in Japan there is also a way to play hide and seek "by yourself", and this is where it gets cultish or involving the supernatural.

Haha, It looked like she wanted to kill someone through the whole song. That's fine. This particular song is one of those, either you love it or you hate it, kind of things. If you're new to Babymetal and don't really get the concept of the band it's easy to see how it can be hard to take. Once a person 'gets it' they will see how good it really is.
I've only recently gotten into them, myself. I alway's kinda bypassed them, as well as Jinjer. But now, I really like both band's. I can't wait to see Jinjer in September. Baby Metal will be playing a few week's earlier. I may have to see how much tickets are for that one also. Bad thing is, I have to go to Atlanta..lol
I think a lot of these heavier bands come off as "dad bands" since it's older dudes on stage with mostly older guys in the audience. I think a girl like her won't be won over by that as much since there's probably a part of her that feels she's "not supposed to like bands like that". She seems like she's started to come over a bit when it's a female lead with a strong voice (Nightwish/Evanescence). It gives her something to identify with while going through this weird world that she doesn't understand very well. In that regard, being on the topic of Babymetal, I wonder if a song like Akatsuki or Rondo of Nightmare might be more up her alley. I'll put another vote in for Megitsune though. I wonder what she'll think of Band-Maid. She might like the band Amaranthe.
Thanks for the reaction! This was a fan made compilation, not a great choice for the song. I'm not sure what kind of music your daughter likes, but more poppier BABYMETAL would be "iine live budokan black night" (pronounced ee-nay), "uki uki midnight black night live", their very first song "doki doki morning live budokan black night", a full on techno remix "headbanger night of 15 mix live", or a softer Su solo "no rain no rainbow". Can't wait to see more!

@Monkey Gameplays Dont know about the girls reaction but everything I said was true. The experience of watching Babymetal is much better with the subtitles video's version. And the fusion of music is a fact. The girls reaction does look pretty plain.
One of the older songs like "ijime dame zettai" or "iine" or "Doki Doki morning" might be the ones she might be interested? My daughter liked the"Doki Doki morning" when she was 7..

@@hairlokk8672 I doubt she would have liked "Death" as it's pretty heavy. Something more like "Doki Doki Morning" or "Ii Ne" maybe...though, I doubt it as she just doesn't seem to like the blend of cute/kawaii culture and Metal...
if your daughter like to watch how Babymetal crowd can be then she must watch BABYMETAL at MetRock 2015. it's 30+ minutes non stop full of magic and fun.
@@GlitchintheMatrixMultiMedia If you don't want to do the full 39 minutes (although it would be great) here is the opening number - 'Megitsune' (which I think you were looking into anyway) www.dailymotion.com/video/x5fak8n The crowd is awesome.
Her non reaction is mired in her "internal Dialogue" which was likely going a mile a minute lol. I wonder if she'd like "The ONE" which is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard lately.
I tend to point people towards the Colbert Show performance for Gimme Chocolate if I they are interested - it isn't necessarily the best but it is nice and intimate and it shows the Kami Band are having as much fun as everybody else. th-cam.com/video/o0ERg64grnY/w-d-xo.html
I'd guess people were saying this song for your daughter because of what it is about (playing hide & seek or tag with an Oni - a Japanese flesh eating ogre) and because it is just good fun with the running dance etc. The compilation video wasn't the worst I've seen, but compilations never do Babymetal any justice. I think musically, so she can see the girls taking more of a lead plus these are a bit more melodic, 'Karate' (live at Download 2016 but the official video is very good and conveys the story), 'Yava' or 'Meta Taro' may appeal more to her - possibly 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' (Bullying, No More, Forever) or (arguably their best song - it regularly tops fan polls) 'Megitsune' too. For possibly their most 'pop' style you could show her their very first song and video (they were 13 and 11 when it was filmed) 'Doki Doki Morning'. I'll try to find some links (avoiding compilations).
@@GlitchintheMatrixMultiMedia It happens, you weren't to know, I'm just glad you get what they are about and are enjoying them. Here are a couple of links at least: Meta Taro live at Wembley vimeo.com/317844177 YAVA (Big Fox Festival 2017) www.dailymotion.com/video/x6iragl as it is on Dailymotion a reaction will probably only be possible if you 'link & sync' ie leave the video and audio out of your own video, put the link in the description for us to open in a second window, count down "3 2 1 go" and we click start as you do to see what you are watching. The other songs I suggested should be easy enough to find (IDZ at Sonisphere 2014 is a good one).
Is every reaction with a corpse? You could give her a million dollars, a new puppy, a house, and her own private jet. She still wouldn't show any emotion
They will be around in the states in September. Avatar will be opening for them, you may want to react to them. That should be an extremely entertaining show. Granted a smaller venue so it won't have that huge insane crowd but should be fun.
His first reaction video was headbanger and he expected like that, but then the girly part started and Dad was like 'oh please not like that... before my daughter.." and oh yea. kinda
Baby Metal is somewhat of an acquired taste. I remember being perplexed the first time I saw them, but kept coming back. Now I love it! Even watching your daughter's reaction. I could see her frown shifting upwards towards the end there. haha
I think she would have enjoyed Doki Doki Morning more but like other comments said, it's not for everyone. However, Babymetal is definitely for me. Kitsune up! 🤘🦊🍔🍅
I think the guy playing guitar in this video passed away back in February, if I remember correctly? They have also added a bunch of people to the group after Yui left
The most recent live footage has them back as a trio (sort of) the third so far is just dancing and switches off between two girls not the 4-7 on stage they had last tour.
I love her non-reaction reactions! LOL. Imagine in a few years the poor dude that takes her on a date..."This chick just ain't into me, no matter what I say or do!"
I was confused the first time hearing this. And then i had to question "What would they be categorized as?" And in a interview i watched it was answered. Baby Metal is a idea of it all.
Maybe next time she can relate more to their song (Iine). That is (iine) not Line. Only because its kinda about how a girl should have a super chaotic dream to follow. Here's the link: m.th-cam.com/video/HuNDrLcXb_w/w-d-xo.html

Karate also. its a much safer introduction to them.-no growling and a lot more singing.
@@GlitchintheMatrixMultiMedia the death video with them were good, not sure if it still exist
I doubt it
@@hairlokk8672 I doubt she would have liked "Death" as it's pretty heavy. Something more like "Doki Doki Morning" or "Ii Ne" maybe...though, I doubt it as she just doesn't seem to like the blend of cute/kawaii culture and Metal...
A BabyMetal show is alot of fun ,And the crowd , were all the one!
if your daughter like to watch how Babymetal crowd can be then she must watch BABYMETAL at MetRock 2015. it's 30+ minutes non stop full of magic and fun.
Thanks for the suggestion, we'll have to check that out.
@@GlitchintheMatrixMultiMedia If you don't want to do the full 39 minutes (although it would be great) here is the opening number - 'Megitsune' (which I think you were looking into anyway) www.dailymotion.com/video/x5fak8n The crowd is awesome.
I'd recommend the live proshot version of Megitsune for your daughter, it's got a pretty hype energy.
Her non reaction is mired in her "internal Dialogue" which was likely going a mile a minute lol. I wonder if she'd like "The ONE" which is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard lately.
The key word here is reaction. She looked like her dad held her cell phone hostage. How can you not love babymetal
I want to slap people every time they request "Catch Me If You Can" or "Gimme Chocolate"
Lol, it was recommended, I don't know a lot about them so I am going by what a lot of people are suggesting, we'll get to more soon though.
Thanks for the link.
This group always reminds me of just about all the opening songs to all the anime I’ve seen lol.
Thanks for the suggestions, didn't mean to put up a compilation, my mistake, I thought it was the correct version.
I defiantly would say megetsu, iine and doki doki morning are the way to go much more pop songs then metal
@@GlitchintheMatrixMultiMedia It happens, you weren't to know, I'm just glad you get what they are about and are enjoying them. Here are a couple of links at least:
Meta Taro live at Wembley vimeo.com/317844177
YAVA (Big Fox Festival 2017) www.dailymotion.com/video/x6iragl as it is on Dailymotion a reaction will probably only be possible if you 'link & sync' ie leave the video and audio out of your own video, put the link in the description for us to open in a second window, count down "3 2 1 go" and we click start as you do to see what you are watching.
The other songs I suggested should be easy enough to find (IDZ at Sonisphere 2014 is a good one).
Have you guys reacted to any of Heilung's stuff? A Scandinavian Ancient Folk band.
Is every reaction with a corpse? You could give her a million dollars, a new puppy, a house, and her own private jet. She still wouldn't show any emotion
Lol 😆 its so boring watching these she dose the same thing in every video
They will be around in the states in September. Avatar will be opening for them, you may want to react to them. That should be an extremely entertaining show. Granted a smaller venue so it won't have that huge insane crowd but should be fun.
It's more of a non-reaction video 😂
The young lady's deadpan expression reminds me of Aubrey Plaza on Parks and Recreation. I bet she could relate to that character lol.
I think she might have been more into Yava or Awadama fever. I bit less metal. Or not. Who knows.
She is definitely a hard sell, that is for certain.
I could see her frown shifting upwards towards the end there. haha
Lol, ya, the more songs we do, the more she seems to be growing, she is still a tough sell though.
I love her reaction in your introduction. .hahaha 😂😂😂
娘さん、受け付けないww
でも最初の険しい顔が後半興味示しだした顔になってたよ。
When dad tryin to convert his daughter to baby metal fan. 😂
Come on dad, she just wants to be a basic b and listen to some Cardi B or Old Town Road. She's too far gone, there's no hope.
I have news dad. Daughter says Nope with those eyes. Lol@😂
Rondo of nightmare with mischief of gods intro!!!!
Now have them both react to Pa Pa Ya by Baby Metal now so they can see how much the band has grown since. Plus it's a really awesome song!!
My reaction at thirteen woulda been the same: "I'm too old for this garbage"
Saw Babymetal open for RHCP a few years ago. They rocked it!
Best song about hide and seek ever!
Lol, yes!
The way they are able to move their legs freaks me just like the girl in the Safety Dance video. Such is life.
Maybe next time she can relate more to their song
(Iine). That is (iine) not Line. Only because its kinda about how a girl should have a super chaotic dream to follow. Here's the link:

Thanks for the link!
The look on her face when Dad said drumroll!! I think that was the meanest facial expression I've ever seen from her. See looked like she wanted blood atm Then it's like she comes to and covers her mouth like "omg I hope nobody saw that" 😂😂
