I love your work. Thanks for sharing your techniques with us. They are so valuable and satisfying to watch and try. Your art is so lovely and appealing.
You make it look so easy, I haven't painted for years, but now I'm inspired to give it another go. Thanks for your time, and efforts, it's much appreciated. Best wishes, Stuart UK.
Thank you for watching and for your kind words Stuart. I do hope you pick up your brushes again and have the most wonderful time playing with your paints! Happy painting!
Thank you Anastasia. I'm new to watercolor. On another video (a short) you introduced me to the squirrel dagger and I'm having fun learning to paint evergreens. The first time I used it I was amazed that I actually painted a cool looking tree (for me). The Long Mop looks like a great brush too for firs. They are the dominate tree where I live. I love your videos. Thanks for your tutorials!!
Thank you for watching! I am so glad you are having fun painting the trees! Dagger brushes are so beautiful for evergreens, and long mops too, and I am happy my little videos helped you discover the joy of painting with them 😊 Fir trees are gorgeous! We don't have many of them in Australia (they are not native to here) but when I travel I always marvel at their shapes and their colour too.
I love to watch you paint. Your strokes and intuition with your loose painting style is so mesmerizing. I only hope to paint with such confidence someday😌
This was so helpful! I can’t wait to try your palm tree. I have learned so much from you. I use to paint the tree trunks first, then I saw how you painted the foliage and then the trunk. My trees are much better now using that technique. Thank you so much.
This was so great! I had fun just practicing these in my sketchbook. I loved doing the barren tree because it really made me focus on working on trunks and branches that are in that perfectly sketchy realm. I keep overworking them snd then all of the sudden they’re blocky like a kindergarten drawing 😂
So happy to hear you enjoyed this video and these trees!! It is such fun figuring out how the trees are "built" when we are drawing them, and the more we do it the better they turn out! Thank you for watching and for your lovely comment.
I love how you work with your DaVinci Casaneo long mop series 490 size 0. Unfortunately I have not been able to find that specific brush on any of my available websites in the USA. Any chance you can point me to a source? Look forward to doing this video. I love your style.
Thank you for watching my videos, and I am so glad you are enjoying them! Great news that you have found the brushes too... They are such lovely brushes to paint with - certainly my current favourites.
I think I have found the DaVinci caseano brush, series 490, but I think it is called a quill liner rather than a mop and I can only find a size 2 rather than a 0 through Amazon. I might have to consider Jackson’s for the size 0.
Not at this stage, I just don't have the time and the setting for it - I paint and record the videos in my living room and there are constant distractions and background noise. Maybe at some point in the future. Thank you for watching!

Actually rigger rather than quill liner
They do use different names for it on different websites for some reason... As long as it is the same series it should be the same brush.
Ayudaría si estuviera traducido, pero gran trabajo.
Apologies for that, and thank you for watching!
Update for US artists, I just ordered from Jackson’s Art 2 series 490 DaVinci brushes and their US warehouse had them so very cheap shipping.
Oh wonderful! Have fun with those brushes!
Would you ever consider narrating your tutorials?
