    I feel like I could have been born a girl or a guy and I would still be okay about it. If I could, I would switch between them or be both at the same time. I don't feel as if my gender identity is changing. I just feel like both. Am I non binary or something else?

      I feel pretty much the same way, at times I'll feel more feminine and others more masculine, but I never feel like I fully fit with either. I grew up often wondering if I was supposed to be a boy .. I'd say we're non-binary 😅 I think it's just however you feel comfortable identifying

      Please watch videos of professionals. Intelligent people who are not brainwashed by this "trend" , cult-like movement, with no medical, no psychological background. Taking the gender stereotypes we have been fighting against for decades, to determine you are non-binary is a totally regressive insult to society nowadays.. Listen to this video carefully and pay attention to all the contradictions. Just love yourself without all these stupid labels and also understand that every single human being born on this planet is non -binary ( we all have both feminine and masculine energies within us). What is so special about being called a "They"? Will you die if people don´t call you that? What is the worst that can happen if you are called by your real gender pronoun? Will you throw a tantrum like all those ridiculous-white-privileged tik tokers who have nothing to cry about because they ´ve always had it all and they need a reason to feel they are also a minority. Go to a therapist first. Go to a psychologist first... and I mean a real one, not an LGTQRST ++++ activist. Figure out what is behind your reason to wanna be part of this "trend".

I was born female, and if i ever start calling myself by They/them i will still 'Dress feminine'. Im not sure if i want to go by They/them 'Enough'. I've always wanted long hair and I've crossdressed before (I loved it), but on the topic of hormones and gender-assigned parts, it's like I would like hormones if I had the opportunity to get them but at the same time I feel like I'd be fine without them. So yeah, I'm afraid I'm a little *too* comfortable with my body rn and I'm afraid I'm not really valid in that sense. Can someone help??? ToT

    Labels are great for self identification, third person description and for giving names to emotional discourse, dysphoria or other degrees of gender diversity compared to cis individuals who connect with their physical sex and recognise their gender assignment from parents and society.
    However, I don't understand how a sign of being non binary is feelings of discomfort with gendered language (obviously I not referring to misgendering here; whether malicious or unintentionally ignorant, it is unacceptable that misgendering should continue beyond a correction or introduction to preferred pronouns).
    However other gendered language is different. Ever noun in French or Spanish is gendered, and this gender dictates the possessive pronoun used... Not the gender of the person in possession of the noun. In German and Latin, nouns can be masculine, feminine or neutral and again whether the possessive pronoun is masc, fem or neutral depends on the noun being owned, not the subject's sex nor their gender.
    The idea of pronouns is an English language thing which is why misgendering must be seen as always inappropriate, and offensive if intentional, but cannot feasibly be extrapolated to all gendered language- because a lot of it is simply that, language. The words that are often disliked due to gender association are collective nouns for a group of people of any single or many genders. Yet with all international variations of spoken English and descriptors for male, non binary and female people, I think we are mature enough to know that in the plural, words for 'group of people' when spoken outloud, directly TO a group of people, the gender of the collective noun can be disregarded and whatever word means 'all.'
    This is not the case in third person prose because a description of a group of people may be misrepresented by misgendering, but depicting speech of a character within prose would have the same rule.
    I don't see how referring to a mixed group of men and women as "guys" or "my dudes" can be deemed as anything other than being linguistically old fashioned and a bit sexist, but not offensive since it is a descriptor depicting 'group' and not person or persons as individuals with gender expression. I can't get my head around being offended by a mixed gender group being referred to (directly and in person only) as guys, my dudes, ladies, laaaaads or my gurls!?
    But if you don't agree with me or think I'm looking at this too academically and not emotionally, please share your thoughts with me xxxxx

      @best_of_ant 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It really depends on who you're speaking to and what they're comfortable with. My guess is that a lot of those terms while being gender neutral for the most part, for many they still might have the specifically gendered association with it that makes them uncomfortable. While many masculine terminology has been used as gender neutral terminology as well for a long time, feminine terminology on the contrary has been exclusively used as fully feminine without it being gender neutral at all. That doesn't exclude it from also being gender neutral at all, it's the intentional gendering of it that makes it be excluded from being also gender neutral.
      That's only my take on it, would be interested what you have to say on that /gen

    • @sarahwithstars
      @sarahwithstars 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@best_of_ant I think giving a specific example, James Charles calling viewers Sisters. (his behaviour is completely irrelevant)
      This is the contrast to 'guys' or 'dudes' I was referring to, though you are right that female collective pronouns for a group are more rarely used.
      What I'm saying is that while everyone's feelings are valid, I don't think the way a whole group is addressed should be policed if it is not being used to misgender anyone or the group. If men and women are happy to be addressed as "sister" there shouldn't be the expectation that the collective noun will be disregarded because trans boys only want to go by masculine pronouns...
      There is a sense of "it's not all about you" with some issues around language used with no malintent.

    • @best_of_ant
      @best_of_ant 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sarahwithstars Yeah I gotta agree on that, it should be discussed more tbh, especially because language is not the same for everyone , coming from different backgrounds has a lot of impact on that as well.
      Even then if the person is only comfortable with certain language being used around them I'd be using that said language because it's what makes THEM comfortable.
      Thank you for expanding on this, I've been meaning to find someone to talk to about the topic for some time!

    Can you help me know if it could be non-binary??? ( I was born a girl)(lol, I know there are a lot of things in this that don't help at all but anyway xd)
    Things about me:
    Ecosystems that I like: forest, beach, paramo, mountains, city, countryside.
    Personality: I get angry easily, lazy sometimes sometimes active, brave, protective, I get irritated easily, strong (emotionally)
    Fandoms I'm from: therian, furry
    Climates I like: sunny. Rainy (without storm)
    Favorite ships:
    Mike X Elizabeth
    Moments of the day that I like: day, night
    Wounds:
    scar on the arm, scar on the hand. scar on forehead, scar on leg, scar behind ear
    Hobbies: recording videos, making quadrobiques
    Foods I like: meat
    Favorite places at home: forest school, beach,
    City, countryside
    Things I hate: being made fun of, making fun of my bestie. that they criticize me for my tastes, that they are abrupt, that they say rude things, that they mistreat or the animals
    I like
    Favorite color: pink, blue and purple
    Extra data xd: I like to climb trees, I love nature, I want to go for a walk in nature and I almost never smile according to my mother
    Things I haven't mentioned: like border collies, I have an obsession with balls, for example, if I'm playing basketball, I don't want to let go of the ball, I want to have it myself. I am super active. I tried the dog croquettes and I liked them and my mom didn't. Border collies are generally used to herd (I don't know how to spell) sheep in the countryside and I love the countryside.

    I think a better way of saying what you're saying is not binary. In logical terms not means what's leftover of whatever the definition is. In essence the other. But I disagree with this definition. To me non-binary is saying that the binary system is incorrect and that gender and sex is a spectrum that the entire system should be non-binary and everybody fits in the spectrum not just the others in your definition.

      you cant really be *exactly* 'straight' as a non binary person, since it implies M/F attraction only, but some may identify as gay since it's same gender attraction.
      from what I've seen people tend to simply define themselves by who they're attracted to, saying like: attracted to men nblm, attracted to women nblw, attracted to other nonbinary people nblnb.
      like personally i call myself bisexual because i can be attracted to any gender in that spectrum :)
