@@patrickdowney2778 I remember the name though we didn't get the Irish Times often. A well spoken man he was RIP.

I'll never forget the sense of despair and disappointment leaving Semple Stadium that day. I can still feel it to this day. Thank the Lord I lived to see the county go on and win three All Irelands........to date. Cheeky Charlie displaying Cork's innate cockiness and confidence.....only one team can win and that's Cork. How times have changed.....no McCarthy down Leeside since 2005.....and rising I fear. Lovely piece. Many thanks.

I think you might have left out the bit that shows the hurling.

By jesus he must’ve enjoyed it when Clare eventually ended the years of hurt in the 1990s. They endured some pain along the way. Nobody could begrudge them

A young Ger Loughnane is the image of Shane O'Donnell

This will be a fair game even if money has exchanged hands

4.10, Cork as humble & gracious in victory as ever. A segment of the speech that Charlie could have left out. Total arrogance & lack of sportsmanship

4:10 Cork inferiority complex is admitting you might be their equal 😂
