Now I've got it. Important is Your trick, to set the delay time on bpm. Then Go to Assign1, set ASSIGN: ON, SOURCE: P.LOOP, SOURCE MOD: Toggle, TARGET CATEGORY: Tap, TARGET: Bpm Tap TARGET MIN: Off, TARGET MAX: On.

@@GuitarNTabs Thank you for your videos! I appreciate your time and your clear explanations. There are many things in the GT-100, but the assigns are very interesting, as well as the mixer at the end of the two amp paths. Another thing which is interesting is the use of the harmonizer, which, for me is kind of difficult because it involves music theory, and I'm not good at it. Thank you so much!

@@GuitarNTabs First of all, I amazed of the knowledge you have!!!
      Really outstanding!
I have one problem with my device, I wonder if you have the answer.
Some time (not always), Wen I use my headphone and not my Amp, I get sound only in one ear, last time, I heard my guitar in stereo, but the Aux was in mono.
Do you think that, it relate to the fact that the output is configurd to Amp, and not headphones?

I use the GT-100 in mostly manual mode, and after I changed one of my patch to Tap delay, I wanted to do the same in manual mode, but it don't work.
Do you know if it can't be done in manual mode?

@@MrSK168 - Thank you, that's very kind of you.
I've been using Boss gear and equipment for many, many years, and I've always wanted to learn as much as possible, so I could fully take advantage of the features and possibilities.
First of all, it's important that you make sure to switch your Output Select to the equipment you're using the GT-100 with. That's one thing, then you also have to use separate patches, because when you connect with headphones, you use the GT-100's onboard preamp models, and with your own amp you don't. With your own amp you have to turn OFF the GT-100's preamp models.
Are you sure it isn't a faulty connection in your headphones? Maybe the cord, or something?
I just saw your question on Facebook as well, and I replied there.
You should be able to do it in Manual Mode as well.
Thanks for your comment and kind words.
Let me know if there's more I can do.
      Cheers.

Great video! Very interesting replies! What I'd like to do is be able to set up a 1500 ms on my left channel with say a Fender Twin pre, then volume the chord into that channel. then pan it so it's on both sides with a long feedback then on the right side maybe a Boogie or similar hi gain with say a 750 ms delay and pan option? I also have a Behringer midi foot controller that would give me another 2 controller pedals. I used to use a Morley Pro Panner/Volume into a Roland Jazz Chorus on the left and a Marshall Plexi on the right. The signal chain went as follows, Guitar into cry baby into Boss DS1 into Boss OD1 into Morley into amps. I'm hoping I can get even more flexibility with a more " modern" approach. Hope this makes sense.

    • @GuitarNTabs
      @GuitarNTabs  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey TheSixfinger1 :-)
      Thanks for your comment!
Hmm, to me it looks like you would have to use the L/R delay option, on the GT-100, and see what that can do. I don't know about the pan option.. There's a pan effect in the GT-100, but I'm not all that familiar with it.. You may have to look into that :-)
I believe the L/R delay would give you the option to set up two different delay times, and then figure out which one is left and right.
I don't know if this was the answer you were looking for..? If not, then please let me know me, and I'll see what I can do!
      Cheers!

      Hey there, HonzSam :-)
      Sorry for the late reply...
I would say that you would have to select the BPM Tap for the delay, in the assign menu.

Thanks for a good tutorial. I am trying to achieve a BPM Tap function on the Phrase loop pedal. When I follow your guide I get it working, but only for the currently chosen patch. When I choose a differenet patch it reverts back - Is there some way to make it systemwide? It would be a lot of tweaking to do the tweak on every single patch I use. Thanks agian for a great tutorial.

    • @GuitarNTabs
      @GuitarNTabs  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, Erling.
Thanks for watching, and for your question.
If you press the System button and go to the PREF-menu, then you can set different footswitches to either Patch or System.
System will make your desired setting universal for all patches, and no need to set it up over again.
However, the Phrase Loop isn't among those footswitches, but the Accel/CTL is, so you can set it up there.
      I hope this helps.
      Cheers.

    • @GuitarNTabs
      @GuitarNTabs  4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@erlingliteigen916 - I totally get that, no problem, let me explain.
Press the System-button, and find the PREF-icon, and then find the Accel/CTL adjustment and change it from patch to System.
Then press the CTL/EXP and find the Accel/CTL-icon and make sure to set the FUNC to BPM Tap. That should do it for the Acceæ/CTL.
To enable the P. Loop pedal for Assigns press the System-button and find the Phrase Loop-icon. Set the PEDAL FUNC to OFF.
Now you can use the P- Loop pedal for assigns.
Now, press the CTL/EXP button and go to one of the available assigns (Assign 1 through 8) and set up the effect(s) you want controlled by the P- Loop pedal.
Make sure to set the SOURCE to P. Loop Pedal - which is the Phrase Loop pedal.
      That should be it.
      I hope it makes sense.

      Hey there, Christian.
Thanks for your comment and question.
You set the BPM in the Delay effects block. You can adjust it in ms (milliseconds) or sub-divisions.
You can also set the Master BPM in the MST block, found in the end of the signal chain. The Master BPM will sync up with the sub-divisions in the delay block, if set to sub-divisions.

You can easily do the same thing for the PHRASE LOOP-button.
Press the CTL/EXP-button, go to the first available assign (Assign 1), then set the Source to the P. Loop pedal.
It should basically be one setting down from the default Accel/CTL, if you turn the knob counter-clockwise.

Sorry for the late reply.. I've been behind with these comments..
Well, on the different User and Factory Presets there are pre-assigned different effects and paramters.. That's just how they did it from the factory, default.. You can go in and change these assigns, and change them to what you want/need.
It's all perfectly normal and good. From patch to patch they will change, depending on how the patches are set-up.

    • @GuitarNTabs
      @GuitarNTabs  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, Clan!
Thanks for your comment and question, I appreciate it.
      Follow these steps:
      - Make sure you are in Manual Mode.
      - Use Knob 4, and scroll until you see DLY TAP - this is the tap for the delay effects block.
This can be done for the remaining footswitches as well - just scroll through the different effect and parameter options.
The DLY TAP option is great for when you use different ms (milliseconds), but there also the BPM TAP, which controls the Master BPM, for each patch. This is great if you have your delay set up for sub-divisions, for example, dotted 8th note, 8th note, etc.
You find the delay sub-divisions when scrolling past the 2000ms - then the sub-divisions will appear.
      I hope this helps.
      All the best.

You would have to remove the A/B selection Assign.. Press the CTL/EXP button, then try and look in the Accel-icon menu, or in some the other assigns. You will know it, when you see it. Just look for it 😊
If you wish to, you can always assign the A/B to the Phrase Loop, or an external footswitch, if you wish to!

Thanks for your comment and question.
Sure, this can be done on the GT-1 as well.
You would have to set up an Assign to control this Delay Tap Tempo function. Press the Memory Edit-button and go to, for example, the CT1-icon, and press Enter. Then scroll through the different options, until you see Delay Tap, that should be the one you're looking for. There's also another function, called BPM Tap, but that acts along with the Master BPM of that particular patch. I believe the Delay Tap is what you're after. You find, and adjustt, the Master BPM by pressing the Memory Edit-button, and scroll until you see the MST-icon (Master). Press Enter, and in there you'll see, and be able to adjust, the Master BPM.
A little tip - the Master BPM, within all patches, also controls the different sub divisions, found in the Delays, chorus, tremolo, etc. So if you want a certain sub division, then set the Master BPM to match the song, and go to the Delay block, and turn the TIME parameter all the way up, until you start seeing sub divisions 😊

      Thanks for your comment!
First of all you would have to disable the looper function, which is controlled by the Phrase Loop pedal. This is how you do it:
Press the SYSTEM-button, use knob number 4 to scroll until you see the PHRASE LOOP-icon. Then head over to the right hand screen and set the PEDAL FUNC to OFF. You have now disabled the Looper function on the Phrase Loop footswitch.
Now you can head over to the CTL/EXP-button and enter the assign menu, and set up the assign.
You would have to select the P. LOOP Pedal in the source, to make the assign active. Then find the reverb parameter and change the source mode from ON/OFF to TYPE. Then use the PAGE button to go to the next menu screen, and set up the two reverbs. Let the Minimum target be the Hall reverb and the maximum target the Plate reverb.
      That should be it.
Hope this makes sense. If not, then please let me know :-)
      Cheers, Ethan :-)

      Thankyou for the reply!
I forgot to say that I'm using the pedal in manual mode
I've set the reverb to spring and plate but how do I edit how I want the reverbs to sound?
      Thanks

Okay, so you're in Manual Mode, alright.
Set the Phrase Loop pedal's function to CTL ASGN - then set the assign up as you normally would - as mentioned above. You should now be able to switch between the two reverbs.
If you furthermore wish to change certain parameters, when you switch reverbs, then you would have to set up assigns for that as well. Basically the same as mentioned above, but of course the parameters would be different :-)
I hope this makes sense. If not, then please let me know :-)
      Cheers, mate!

GuitarNTabs it doesn’t seem to be working, I’m not sure if I’m being stupid or just not doing something correctly
I can’t even get the 2 reverbs to switch

    • @GuitarNTabs

      Sorry to hear that, mate!
Alright, let me take you throught this - here we go!
Take a look at the PHRASE LOOP block in the Manual Mode screen - then use knob 7 to scroll all the way to the end of the options, there you should see it saying "CTL ASGN" - so leave it at that, and you should now be able to assign the reverbs.
First, to make the two reverbs switch, we'll have to do this:
Press the CTL/EXP-button and scroll to the first available assign - it should be Assign 1.
Then turn the assign ON, set the SOURCE to P.LOOP PEDAL and set SOURCE MODE to TOGGLE. Then use the PAGE-button and go to screen 2. Set the TARGET CATEGORY to REVERB, the TARGET to TYPE, set TARGET MINIMUM to HALL and MAXIMUM to PLATE. That should be that assign.
Then, if you want to change other parameters for the reverb, or control another effect, then head to the next available assign - Assign 2 - and set it up how you like it :-)
For example, if you want to change the level of the reverbs, so that when you change from HALL to PLATE, then the level will increase a little, do like this:
Go to Assign 2, turn the assign ON, set SOURCE to P.LOOP Pedal and SOURCE MODE to TOGGLE. Go to page 2, set TARGET CATEGORY to REVERB, set TARGET to EFFECT LEVEL, set the MINIMUM to the level you have to start with - for example 50, and set the MAXIMUM to the desired increase.
Basically that should be it :-)
I hope this helps, friend. If not, then please let me know!
      Cheers!

can it control two delays at a time?

      Hi Jordy!
Thanks for your comment - I appreciate it!
      Indeed you can, no problem!
Just set up your assigns to activate the two delays, and you should be good to go.
What exactly are you trying to do? :-)
      Perhaps I can help?
      Cheers! :-)

Hey man thanks for the quick reply and great content, what i am trying to do is - say you got two delays, one is the main delay, like a quater note delay and the second one is a way quicker delay but it's really subtle, almost like a slap back but in time with the longer delay. Just to thicken the sound, almost like a doubler effect. I'm wondering if the bpm/delay tap can control both delays at the same time

      Hey again!
You're very welcome - I'm more than happy to help out! :-)
I totally get what you're trying to do - actually really clever!
Right off the bat, without being next to the GT-100, I actually believe it will work!
I'll have a look at it tomorrow, when I get home, and let you know!
I believe that if you set both delays to the subdivision settings then it should be able to sync both delays, but I'll get back to you tomorrow!
      Cheers! :-)

When i tap accel, delay is going to on/off too. Why??

    • @GuitarNTabs
      @GuitarNTabs  6 ปีที่แล้ว

I believe you've chosen the wrong parameter/option for the delay tap...
Start from scratch again, follow the video again, and I believe that should correct it all :-)
      Have a nice day.
      Cheers.

do you know how i can do the delay at 12:08? th-cam.com/video/HOtye4edBbA/w-d-xo.html

      Hi Evan.
Thanks for your comment and question, I greatly appreciate it.
I can see that the frontman uses a GT-100, heavily modified, hehe. He's also controlling some parameters, using either the Phrase Loop or Accel/CTL pedal - it probably has something to do with the delay and its settings...
I would start by setting up the BPM of the song to match the BPM on your patch, then try and go through the different delay sub-divisions and experiment with the feedback, etc. Once you scroll through the m/s settings you will enter the sub-divisions on the GT-100.
      I hope this helps.
      Best regards.
