@@OneOrbit My roots are part mexican, but also descent from the aztec people. Mexico has plenty of aztec and mayans that are still around. Indigenous mexicans. Just find them and ask them. They would know. Try to make movies that are only spoken in the indigenous mexican languages. Get a film crew together. Make some interesting storylines. Hire some actors who are of aztec or mayan descent. Write some scripts and they would most likely translate them for you. There's still hope. Save endangered languages with film.
@@jedhawkins1769 You make a valid point. We're only providing a glimpse in to the Aztec culture. We need to do a better job and hope to film more stories regarding the Aztec Culture in the future. Rest assured, this will not be our last film regarding this beautiful culture.
@@OneOrbit That's great, but please keep my idea in mind. It might come in handy sooner or later not just for you, but for moviemaking in either streaming or Hollywood.
@@jedhawkins1769 Definitely. Please stay in touch and not just as a subscriber. We want your input when planning our next film. Could you shoot us an email?
The fact that there are still some living Aztecs telling their story gives me at least one day of hope. As a person of Mexican decent myself, this is utterly beautiful.
That's great to hear. If you don't mind me asking, are you located near in the Midwest? I'm looking to film a follow up video to highlight a different tribe this summer. Thank you for watching!
Best feeling to see our mexica roots being danced inside a “church “ we have had our own gods and traditions way before any nosey greedy outsiders showed up and we will continue to display our beautiful culture to the world 🌎 🇲🇽 OMETEOTLCOATLICUEHUEY 🇲🇽
Ernie Chavez It’s taken me a while to come up with a response. After arguing with myself in my head, I feel that we’re missing the point here. We should focus on keeping our Aztec culture alive. If it wasn’t for this church, I wouldn’t have been able to film this story. I understand that I’m only providing a glimpse into the Aztec culture and that I need to do a better job. I will do a better job on my next film
I can’t wait to see what Tribes blood I carry when I get my DNA test kit. I’m proud of my Spanish heritage, but I’m trying to go back to my native roots.
I took a DNA test and came back that I am Mayan and Andean indian. And after seeing this, it's so so beautiful. Weird question but how do I going about to reach out to someone on being part of the tribe?

If you speak the languages of the Aztecs and Mayans, then you are one step closer to your roots.
We agree. It's difficult to find people who speak these native languages. They're sadly becoming lost over time. Where are your roots from?

Just not the human sacrifices and not pozole made from Human prisoners such as Spaniards and Mayans and whoever were Aztec prisoners at that time.
Felicidades me encantan las tradiciones
