“Men of the First Marine Division could hardly recall a day more harrowing…” Although I realize you mean those particular men in the Division at that moment, the Marines tend not to think of themselves as individuals, rather as “Marines” in a timeless sense dating back to the Revolution. Accordingly, your opening sentence strikes the wrong note because surely there were many equally harrowing days for the First Marine Division throughout its storied past. Looks like whoever created the video just put random clips of soliders and Marines without knowing the difference. Most likely a civilian. Well they tried (or half assed it) and many probably never would have heard of Gunny without this one.
Semper Fi my brothers from FLA.
My step dad was a helicopter mechanic and gunner in the veitnam war in the army
Semper Fi Hard Charger!!!!
True badass
Clean up the audio. Background music too loud - over powers the commentary.
Thx for watching and thx for feedback.
John Wayne didn't do one day of military
Yep he was big fat chickenhawk. Hulk Hogan of the old days. Cena is close behind. Fuckin' fakers aint worth the bottom of my boot.
Other than that one small gripe, excellent video.
I'm sure those at Peleliu, Okinawa, etc. would also have a say about it to your point. We try to strike a balance of dramatic effect with as factually correct information of events as possible for viewers. Thank you for watching and commenting, hope you stay tuned to our channel for more.
@@Militology your reply gives you credibility. Most channels are either oblivious or too sensitive to minor criticism. Overall I thought the video was excellent and now I will watch more of your content.
@@iconoclastic12007 thank you sir! It’s a very small operation and as much as I wish I could invest all my time into this, economically it’s not possible. Ultimately I hope to show incredible stories of heroes, and events that should be told forever. Appreciate everyone who watches, and welcome all feedback to ensure any mistakes are called out. I’ll likely remake some videos in the future with better quality. Thx again!
So did he do thirdy years in the military?
God bless our veterans!
Semper FI!
I never had the opportunity to go to the military.
And I'm 52 years old. It would have been the Marine Corps, but maybe a low score on that crazy test that they needed that you know a certain percentage to get in there. But it doesn't mean that you can't save your buddies
Heard that story from all my High School buddies that never volunteered. As if "they could of done the same as me" but just chose not to. Well out of 140 recruits 67 didn't graduate boot camp. So "I could have joined yada yada yada", doesn't mean shit to me. Joining and then graduating are 2 different things. Then challenge 2 is getting out after 4 years with an honorable discharge. Because boot camp is just the beginning.
Mike co 3rd Battalion 1st Marines! Vietnam 68-69
My dad was in charge of beans and bullets for the Army from 68 to 70.
One of the most important jobs in the Army!
OOHRAH!
It's funny we're AMERICAN WE FIGHT AMERICAN BUT NEVER TREATED AMERICAN?
Shame on you and all who call these men killers. They were men bound by duty to do their duty.
Forever
MOH has been known to be very Political. It has been known Speaking too honestly in support of your men, over the careers of higher up, or criticism of products delivered from contractor
But I did in my heart
Ace
I saw the man catch a grenade and throw it back.
Oh well, from my WAS ON THE GROUND IN VIETNAM PERSPECTIVE: Those Vietnamese TEENAGERS defeated us, despite the equipment we used.
My life Went south after that day

R.I.P
LJ!!!!!
Then he got back to america 🇺🇸 and they treated him like shit , the end
I lost my soul when re4b
Please remind me again in clear concise words what America was doing in Vietnam again....?
Thx for watching, appreciate all of you who do support our channel. However, why the United States fought the Vietnam War is not a topic this channel is interested in discussing, but this channel does intend to show that in the records of history, the soldiers who fought and died in the Vietnam War fought with courage. They sacrificed for their country, and fought with the highest traditions of the United States Military. They were the greatest of their generation.

I don't need a soul I rule chaos and abyss now
It took me years to realize how in the fuck did he know I was drinking green label jack and from Tennessee
Please stop trying to glorify John Wayne, who never donned a uniform except in movies.
SO BASICALLY THE REAL DENZEL WASHINGTON'S FICTIONAL EQUALIZER!!
And it seemed it was to good to be what it was it had to be evil
The music is horrible. And too frickin loud.
Thx for watching and feedback, we'll tune it down. However, on the music being horrible...well that's like your opinion, man.
But it was why I was there
The last I did not sink in I sleep whil reiners Howe my ncos Wee glad And proud I was spoiled
Then I was not bold enough or true enogh
I curse G-D still
I regret My choice
Wow I don't believe it a story about a black man doing heroic things long overdue dude
Not for money
I don’t think it was smart of a guy to stand up in the face of machine gun fire and make some silly speech about getting his men’s brains blown out. I’m not impressed.
Been there done that yet?
Vietnam wasn't shit.
@@GoodKingBadd The average infantryman in the South Pacific during World War II saw about 40 days of combat in four years. The average infantryman in Vietnam saw about 240 days of combat in one year.

You've taken me out of context, let me rephrase that: Vietnam wasn't ABOUT shit. Please don't get me mixed up with that asswipe judge from "Dead Presidents":

Let me rephrase that: Vietnam wasn't ABOUT shit. But it was QUITE deadly.
@@GoodKingBadd I understand the general point you're trying to make, but South Koreans may disagree with you, on the point of fighting a war like the Vietnam war. I believe there was nobility in it's cause. However, it's more important to remember the noble warriors who fought in the war, on both sides, and answered the call of duty for their nations. That's the only thing I'm interested to show in this channel. Either way, thx for watching and commenting.
@@Militology
But the call of duty that squandered the valor of those brave men to help the same France getting kicked out of Africa as we speak control Vietnam's resources, didn't amount to a nickel's worth of dogmeat.
