Midway just got them in stock, I ordered mine yesterday, should be in before next weekend so I can finally shoot my first reloads. I reloaded 100rds of Hornady 55gr FMJ w/c for my AR-15 with 10 different charges of H335 from 23gr to 26gr (10 ea.)
Thanks for the demo, however, why such an extreme spread? (41fps) I sacked my Chrony Gamma Master, in favor of an Oehler 35P (very recently, so much so that I haven't actually tried the Oehler out yet) on the grounds of the extreme spread being anywhere up to 70fps. I just took it that the Chrony wasn't working right, and I'd have thought that, if one took the time to meticulously load his ammo consistently, then the ES would be more like single digits... maybe I've just wasted my coin?
There is some debate on that subject. I think it's pretty much be technically impossible to not have some effect on POI. That being said, it's probably best to shoot for accuracy and shoot for speed separately.
It seems to me that all that stuff hanging on the end of the barrel has got to change the harmonics and thereby the accuracy. I want to see the velocity AND the accuracy. 'Am I missing something?
They say it doesn't change the accuracy, just the impact point. But this thing is so convenient compared to regular chronographs, if you shoot at a public range, that I have no problem shooting for speed and then shooting for accuracy separately.
I reload mostly handgun because I find that it takes WAY more ammo to get good shooting handgun than it does for rifle. Does this unit work with handgun somehow? Whats the price?
A lot of my friends are serious shooters and they are all very intelligent people. The nincompoops are the black guys killing each other with stolen firearms in Chicago.
Love hearing the crane and geese in the background.

Nice Review...!!
That's the next thing I'm buying ;)
My one question is:
You often shoot to compare speed an accuracy for loads. How does hanging this off the barrel affect the POI and accuracy?

What caliber is the bolt action? I see you not only live in a free state, but a beautiful one as well.
Hey Thanks. Yeah, it's a .204 Ruger. Savage LRPV (right hand bolt, left hand port, single shot).

There is a $25 rail adapter
Will this work pistols?
I'd say only on a longer barrel revolver, but haven't tried.
Ah - how charming. A gun. Typical of the downward slide - both of the intelligence & the country as a whole.
Cesspool.
originaLkomatoast I should shut up? Uh, yeah - have a good life.
