Usually I do technique in the morning and creative stuff in the afternoon (I have no idea why) but today I tried doing it your way and it was epic! I've never been so focused doing creative stuff, so danke schön dude! :D
Hey! I apply some routines from music book like "Art of practicing" but it is focus on piano. This video is what I need for guitar! You're awesome! lol
Really interested on the sleep system you use. How do you cope with change on that schedule when touring / staying up late for a gig ? You must often reach 24h+ with no sleep
this was basically guitar motivational video like really loved it since i’m a phd i loved your hear about matrix haha, sleeping 3 hours is really remarkable just shows how driven you are thanks a lot Justin but i would like to know what do you do in basic exercises section!2 hours right but covering sweeping, alternate picking and legato, how about bends, vibratos, tapoing, hybrid picking i think i would agree those aren’t essential technics🤔yeah wanna see detailed lesson on your basic exercises like you could just video a regular day i would love to see🤭cheers and love from Singapore🥰
Haha yes, good morning mate. Right now it's 3:07 in Germany. Let's do some practise!! No your not doing anything wrong, keep the way that is best for you and try to improve on that. :)
Justin Funny enough Kiko Lorero argues that 1 hour a day is all you need to have solid practice i subscribed to his guitar havks channels its pretty impressive methodology its 1 hour of metronome what are your thoughts on this?
It all depents on how much you want to work on. 1 hour is totally fine... 4 as well... so are 6. The key ingredient is consistancy. I could stop practising guitar and still could make a living out of it. But I wanna get better every day so I work on stuff, besides learning all that stuff for bands and youtube ect. Ect.
It's not about how "good" you are compared to Justin. It's music and not a race. In music it's important how good you are compared to yesterday, a week ago, a month ago and so on. The practice is THE thing. Or it's about the journey and not the destination and we all have to walk our own path. ;-)
It depents on what you need to practice on. Please don't forgett I make a living out of playing guitar, so this is part of my job. :) 2 hours are totally fine if you spend them wisely. :)
@@justin.hombach I just changed my structure yesterday that I think will be productive. I'm also going to weekly lessons with my teacher so that will give me some accountability. I think learning how to practice is as important as the what. Great vid as always!
Lesson starts at 3:24
Wow, Justin! Richtig gut, richtig inspirierend!
