A shout out and congrats to all the Patreon members who featured in the video. Sharing your playing isn't an easy thing for everyone to do, so well done. And a huge thanks to Bernth for sharing this collab too. Keep up the great work!
I love how you included players from all Levels and Ages on your shred Collab! Most others collab are just very flashy, Damn, I'm 29 and I feel too old to learn guitar, but this video proves that I can still do it
I'm 52. I've been playing since I was 13. I'm nowhere near as proficient/technically advanced as a ton of players today (every time I try to study music theory I quickly develop a tension headache!) But last year I wrote a song that a couple of people have told me they is one of the best ones I've ever written.😯 So yeah! Pick up and plug in! It's never too late to learn and grow.
Too old to learn and play guitar? There are worse things you could do with your time; learning and developing interesting hobbies and talents is NOT one of them. 🙏🏻
I'm 40 and have been an intermediate guitar player since I was 18. Never too old dude. Getting ready to up my game. Thats why I'm here. Just gotta put in the work.
I am obsessed with this channel and I’m constantly forcing it on my musician buddies. Awesome insight and plan. It’s no wonder you’re a virtuoso. Thanks again
The last 4 minutes of this video gave me goosebumps!! \m/ Thank you to everyone who took part, each and every one of you inspired me in you own way. Thank Bernth for sharing that. I wanna see more ;)
When a top notch teacher like yourself and Mick Thomson approach exercising and what to practice the same way, we know it's *THE* true way to become a good guitarist.
As I sit here at work with my Bernth shred coffee mug, I realize once again that this is the video I need. I let my shred lessons gather dust because I didn't know what I really wanted to do guitar-wise. Okay, want to do thrash metal? Focus on what will make you a better shredder at thrash! Focus on what my needs are as a guitarist and don't overthink it.
Just subscribed! I’ve been watching your videos over the past week and I’m feeling incredibly motivated. Actually, learning/playing guitar is one of few things that is keeping me going rn. Anyway, been practicing a few times a day to improve my right hand technique, alternate picking, left hand technique, and overall understanding of the fretboard. (I really need to improve switching strings ie: playing e string then g string too) I do the exercises you showed in a video a few weeks ago. I’m trying to build accuracy then speed. My pinky finger is a fighter though. Thanks for all the help Bernth!
Duude all your videos make hard music theory simple and easy to understand and practice. Thanks a lot for sharing and keep goin on what you're doing. You're really motivating me keep goin' on practicing guitar that I left for almost a year. I feel better on playing guitar following your user-friendly theories and paths. SO... well yeah, THANKS!
Bravo dude- for real man. I dont know which route to take. a sweep picking class or a 5 dollar subscription. Im not a metal player, but a few sweeps here and there don't hurt any lol.
This is great 👍🏻. This is just like starting an exercise routine. Write down Goals, track progress , set time. etc. I don’t know why I didn’t think of doing this before!? Thanks @bernth
Hallo Bernth, echt klasse was du hier präsentierst. Du hast nicht zufällig noch einen Kanal in deutscher sprache. Das wäre natürlich klasse. Von mir alle Daumen hoch.
I literally have nothing better to do than play guitar. For the past 7 months I just haven't had any interest in playing games or watching shows. So I just spend all my time on guitar. It's made me gain alot of knowledge and skill fast but I feel like I could be alot better and just have to know how to structure my own routine :I
You mention speed zones: very slow, medium and fast. If you practice lets say alternate picking for one hour a day, how much time do you spend in each zone? And is it a fixed number of minutes or just a bi-product of using the speed ladder method in your practice sessions?
Wonder if these practice techniques will work for a lazy guitar player like me who’s been stuck in a 30 year rut? Gonna give it a try because I have nothing else to go on. Thank you for the ideas, sir. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
It worked for me... Not really 30 years, but 20 and I can honestly say that I've never had a greater progress than this last month of *actual* practicing. I've always played, but never practiced.
Very helpful as always Bernth, I was curious if there is anything for building confidence? I've been playing for 13 years yet still feel like I'm not good enough and keep listening to all the haters don't help ether...
For me it was 2 things. The first is experience playing in front of people. The second is realizing that everyone has different tastes, and even if one person doesn't like what you do, there are plenty that will. Also, I realized that I compare myself and try to compete with the best guitar players out there. The people who have huge youtube channels, millions of fans, and platinum records. If I can do a fraction of what they can do, then I am still doing more than a lot of people.
Awesome as usual. Your talking about 200 BPM. Lol. My highest before I get sloppy is around 100 BPM. That would mean that your at least twice as fast as me. I've got a lot of work to do. Better get to it.
Hi Bernth i was just wondering, since you have SO MANY exercises and practice strategies etc on this channel (amazing btw), how would someone decide which exercises someone should pick, there are so many for each topic like left hand stuff, picking etc. Which ones should we choose? how do we know which ones to choose?
The first guitar lesson or any instrument is dont hide it in a case closet ext make sure whatever your playing is visable to you so you look at it all the time that tricks your brain to say "hey im here bro fucking play me" thank you and goodnight
I have a question. I personally do one technic / day. Like Monday 1h30 of Sweep, day after alt picking, etc. Is it better to do all the technics in one day in shorter time or it's ok to do as I do one technic for longer period ?

Is that all of your student in the vip member club?
I’ve created a practice routine, I find my part time stripping job has become so much easier, now to apply this knowledge to guitar practice.
🎸
I have a subscription but i can not find this one practice. Is is possible share a link ?
A shout out and congrats to all the Patreon members who featured in the video. Sharing your playing isn't an easy thing for everyone to do, so well done. And a huge thanks to Bernth for sharing this collab too. Keep up the great work!
Could not have said it better! Very, very proud of these amazing contributions :)
Have you ever thought about making an exercise book? so many great ideas! i would definitely buy it!
This. For sure.
Yeah ! Great idea.
Had no guitar Book read in a long time :((
Bingo! This is an awesome idea!
Definitely would buy
Let me correct you., do did. does. + verb1 😂😂🤣🤣😂

I m 43 and not old at all to pick an Axe

i got goosebumps when big daddy bernth came in at the end of the collab. one of my favorite videos to date

This was awesome! You should make more videos like this!
For me, finding the right time of day is most important.
We all have the time, we just chose to use it elsewhere
@@grossfanyeahmate This goes for most everything really.
True dat. I make sure at least a couple of hours a day... specially this lockdown, we cant loosen up! Just keep it up Rod!
@@ritmanguitarexercises4335 Thanks you too!

You bring awesome contents bro.
Loved it
Thanks for uploading
Outro jam was way cool!
I enjoy watching all levels of play
This is great 👍🏻. This is just like starting an exercise routine. Write down Goals, track progress , set time. etc. I don’t know why I didn’t think of doing this before!? Thanks @bernth
I found that helpful as well, thinking about it in terms of physical exercise. Seems so obvious now, but it has been a monumental shift in my progress
Very useful tips for someone like me!!yeah.bring it on champs!!
So what time do you go to bed every night?
Great content!
my problem is, if i start playing in the morning, i don't feel like going to work anymore. so my practice time is evening.
I practice afternoon because I never play good just after waking up. There's no hard and fast rule to it.
Thank you so much!!😭😭
Hallo Bernth, echt klasse was du hier präsentierst. Du hast nicht zufällig noch einen Kanal in deutscher sprache. Das wäre natürlich klasse. Von mir alle Daumen hoch.
Sensational thanks teacher
Excelent,thank you bernth
but where is the routine? kinda misleading title
Right, not creating your own practice routine. What a joke 🤡
First like then I watch
Deine Videos sind immer toll! Aber das Projekt war sicherlich beeindruckend ^.^
Good teacher
Awesome 🤘

I was like "this last guy is definitely the star of the class"
then I saw the name.
haha.. it was the teacher
David Hasselhof approves!
Bernth! Great videos man! Where did you get that red bull refrigerator in the background? Cheers!
Actually the author doesn't give a practice routine, but rather general advice on what to focus on
I want to improve my Ear, improv, fingerpicking and overall technique
Perfect
Hey man, I love these videos! Question: What do you usually set your action and neck relief to? I’d love to know. Thanks!
amazing wow
thank you 🙇🙇💯💯
yo Bernth!
Does the redbull help you practicing better?
These are literally my routine pointers as I learn oud.
good stuff!
Dang, I don’t check patreon enough. Would have loved to get in on this collab.
You mention speed zones: very slow, medium and fast. If you practice lets say alternate picking for one hour a day, how much time do you spend in each zone? And is it a fixed number of minutes or just a bi-product of using the speed ladder method in your practice sessions?

Your ten step course, what begining skill level is that suitable for?

Also I just popped over to your channel and listened to some of your stuff. You've definitely got some talent!
@@scottb2698 thank you soooooo much for the confidence boost! I really needed that, though i still probably could use little improvement haha
Awesome as usual. Your talking about 200 BPM. Lol. My highest before I get sloppy is around 100 BPM. That would mean that your at least twice as fast as me. I've got a lot of work to do. Better get to it.
Hi Maestro! I’m just wondrin’ how much would it cost me to become part of your guitar coaching circle. Thanks and more power!
Didn't you have a speed guitar course available for purchase online? I don't see it anymore
www.bernth.at - thanks for asking :)
Is that a red bull fridge that looks like a road case?
It’s work life balance that kills me, I try to practice every day but sometimes it doesn’t happen
Wirklich ein sehr guter Kanal👍
Höre ich da ein deutschen Akzent?
Gruß
Wait wait…. Was that Liliacs guitarist at the end there?!
nice
3:08 Your neighbours must love you lol.
The first guitar lesson or any instrument is dont hide it in a case closet ext make sure whatever your playing is visable to you so you look at it all the time that tricks your brain to say "hey im here bro fucking play me" thank you and goodnight
that last guy in the collab seems promising

bro please lesson for tone made
Any spots for personal lessons?
And before practice, watch Bernth videos and get motivated
10:13 The first part of the solo sounds to me like something Marty Friedman would do. Really cool!
i think i need one of those redbulls...
