    I'm 75 my sister is 71 we both watched this at separate times...... generally speaking we are a different generation, we worked within, we married within and raised families within a generation that would have a problem understanding what you guys were talking about. But we cried, for the lose of time, and for the gratefullness that you have said, out loud, what will move mankind forward. Our blessing and our thanks.

    I've really enjoyed Justin on JTV but had no idea what an incredible man he is. Thank you Justin for being so candid and transparent. You are demonstrating that it is possible to be successful in "Hollywood" without succumbing to all the superficial trappings. Thank you for sharing your faith. You are a man of true character.

    I think people take out of things what they want to. Mr. Baldoni never said men needed to handover "the keys", so to speak. He is just encouraging the vulnerability in men, and the power in women. I, for one, love his message. This was a great talk!!

    I've watched 4 of your podcasts Lewis Howes, and all have been tremendously inspirational. To answer the Question as to why more women are following Justin is that he is real to them. The definition of the desired man many women want. Someone they can be themselves with. After this podcast, I'd say more men will follow Justin to learn from him. Great podcast!

    I guffawed with joy after listening in to this interview! It affirmed so many of the concepts that I want to devote the rest of my life to. (I'm nearly 70 years old now.) His "truth" near the end that "everything in this universe has its source in love"? Just TWO DAYS AGO I posted the same sentiment on my Facebook page (and in a private men's "right of passage" page.) Thank you, Lewis, for stimulating my "happy-heart" with this interview! It was a super-pleasant surprise . . . I had no idea who Justin Baldoni was (not a TV viewer), so it was truly a thrill to get to know about him like this FIRST!

    Justin, thank you for all of the great work that you are doing. I have recently come across the Baha'i Faith and you were one of those people who showed me this gift.
    Living authentically, helping the poor, dropping racial barriers, the definition of "masculinity" and losing the ego are such amazing topics to bring up.

  • @Moddereff
    @Moddereff 7 ปีที่แล้ว +25

    Quite interesting interview, especially the part where he addresses how guys won't confess about something not socially accepted as "manly"... It also points towards the facts that guys tend to hide their emotions because of their ego and also how society portrays the ideal man as being big and tough. Probably why the suicide rates in males are much higher than female? Anyways as usual, amazing job, Lewis!

    • @delishme2
      @delishme2 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, and not just suicide... Family violence, violence, addictions, body obsession, misogyny, suicide, divorce... I mean these are not only male issues but the root of them all comes from the root of this concept so it's so good to see people focusing on the solution, not just the problem. 😊

    I got fired from my 3 year job for being “too emotional” “too honest” “too aggressive”... I’ve been always a transparent person and always try to behave and wait for the right moment to let it out in a mature way.
    I get what he is saying and his way of thinking, and I love it! Is just hard how to be like that when the outside world is not ready for it. Is so confusing, do we have to be fake all the time?

    Whether your a man or woman, ego is not a good thing to feed. It will take a whole lot of hardwork to deal with it but everything is possible if we put our mind on it. This inspired me to work on my own ego and self-worth.
    I love how he discussed about BALANCE. Men allowed to be "vulnerable" without being judged as weak or too feminine or not man enough and women allowed to be "masculine" without being judged as feminist or trying too hard to be with equal men. Definitely working together is a lot easier than trying to place each other in a certain spot base on our perception and ego.
    Another great podcast. ❤

    A very inspirational video. Nowadays, men are expected to be the bravest of the brave. Toughest of the tough. And because of that expectation, it tends to leave a toxic feeling that showing signs of sensitivity is considered weak and pathetic when in truth, it's part of be human. Such things are forcing people in general to bottle up deep feelings just to achieve whatever goals and get by in life. But in reality, it's much harder to get others understand that there's a balance between toughness and sensitivity because of society's standards and norms. Surely, this IS a food for thought for us all.

    Justin Baldoni, is the near perfect man, that realizes and honors the qualities of women and what a real man should be. Emily is so blessed to be married to this awesome, special guy who cares about everyone, has no ego and values women and womenly qualities ...He takes his beliefs seriously. This guy is matured soul. A rare MAN indeed. Truly sad , that men don't follow him on instagram. Men have a lot to learn about themselves. Most men try to impress women with stuff that they like , not what their spouses like. Men definition of success seems so superficial than women but they dare not say so in public. Nice to see men just be transparent with the people they love or don't. Men who never respect women will never be blessed. ( This is from the Bible). I have observed that men tend to compete in their need for relevance, so much that they feel intimidated when they meet a strong independant and smart women.

    Oh Gosh, this is purely beautiful, true, magnificent, moving. So many truths shared here, and actually so many things in common with what I came to realize facing death so many times in my own life.
    I have dreamt of projects that were about revealing the beauty and magnificence, and power of life through sharing works involving elders in elder homes as well as young people who are undergoing rejection in youth shelters, in order to give them a voice.
    Haven't acted on them yet, but that is a powerful wake up call...
    And those three truths, so well-articulated, in a clear unwavering powerful tone...
    So inspiring. You guys made me cry.
    You two are beautiful. I thought I would find no words to comment on this video, since the impact of your sharing is way beyond any possible words, but hey, I finally managed to express something somehow :-)
    Blessings to you, wishing you success, beautiful balance, and awesome and wonderful and sane opportunities to share your work and energy with this world that we live in.
    And, oh, this incredible endeavour about brotherhood.... Well, no words here..
    Aho ;-) 🙏
