skates are actually pretty interesting. PTFE was discovered by accident on a laboratory, and the scientist was surprised by the white clogging the inside of a bottle, and the rest is history. Just an exciting chemical plastic.
Why does no other PTFE skate have a similar "Break in" period where the edges feel feel worse than stock skates? And yes I did pass it when i threw them out lmao
@boardzy Idk, only a corepad gimmick. And yes I think they are overrated, but there are little to none 100% PTFE fullsize control skates on the market for Viper V3 Pro
Agree most of the tiers actually, expect I'm having fun with Superglide glass skate v2/Lexip/XRaypad Meteorite on Shidekai v1/Element Ice. Maybe I'm living in dry cold Canada, humidity isn't a problem.
I've tried Obsidian Air on Razer Viper V3 pro. Only tested them on cloth pads, wanted something for control, but they ended up being faster than stock skates and also not as smooth. They had pretty good properties, no difference in static and dynamic friction, very consistent overall. So if you like dry, a little scratchy, but very balanced and durable glide with good stopping power, Obsidian Air skates are very good. But i prefer more standard PTFE on cloth
Sinceramente most of the time i don't agree with u (like on glasspad or some mouse shape), but holy...this tier is based af, Bravo. Even more that u putted Jade (my goat) in S. Just perfect.
Don’t get jades they are way to fast for a tacfps games he only recommends fast pads fast skates he doesn’t really go in depth about any of his reviews like some ppl would like more control and a balance but he only ever talks about speed like he has arc v1s in b tier but they are really good if you want control skates
I just go for corepadz for majority of my mice, cuz they are good overall, can’t go wrong with the classic, if you want slower, go for control version skates
Same tier as all the other glass but they are cheaper. I wouldn't risk slowing down a cloth pad with it though, if you play on cordura or something plastic then it could be fine
Nice video. Im on the plastix (with glass pad) because i really want consistency but after a month of using i feel like its missing sth that other skates provided. I love the feel of the obsidian pros on day one of usuage. If i had the money i would use them and change them everyday. But i don't so im looking for better options. This video is helping a lot, thank you
hi im currently using a zero soft with corepads and im getting a type 99 mid/soft what skates that are slightly slower should i get? thank you in advance
he said he prefers magic the most but that doesn’t mean it’s “way better” then jade and etc it’s just the perfect purchase in a sense like you essentially can’t go wrong with it
Kind of crazy both Corepads and BT.L (previously in based tier) got demoted to B, and the only survivor is Tiger Ice v2. At least now I have an excuse to try the xraypad skates (the problem must be my skates, definitely not me /j).
the jade speed is available in my area. would they be ok for glass skates? cause i have an incoming order which was the skypad 3.0 and the Atom Photovoltaic Glass Mouse Pad. would they be ok for the glass pad mentioned?
the obsidian air pro are the updated wallhack skates from the same company that made the wallhack skates so y they should be worse than obsidian air pros
Thanks, that was actually helpful! I've been deciding between jade and obsidian air, and now i have a better picture of what to expect of them. Guess my go to option will be obsidian air cuz i'm an average glass enjoyer, and would really appreciate if i was the only one who hears every of my mouse's movement (instead of every living being in a 1km radius). Right now it's very loud and i hope that obsidian will do it's job
Xraypad do make Jade airs at this point. I did like them on my Wall hack sp004. One thing to note is that at least in my experience, all the air skates will get louder as they wear. At about 60% normally they'll be just ad loud as normal skates. But they'll still have another 40% lifespan in them before they start actually feeling scratchy.
@onikisusalt3665 noted, thanks for useful info! I mean, they will still be a 9999% better then some random skates i use now. I don't even know which one are those, got 'em as a bonus when i bought a pad
@@boardzy Honestly I'm willing to give it a go. I'm currently using a VXE R1 Pro on Qck+ and Equate, both slow pads, but they glide so well with the default skates, it's hard to control for me. I'm really used to slow/drag feeling, I don't know if it's because of the low weight mouse. I was more used to 80-100g mice before.
Ultraglide skates are different compared to Xraypad's. Ultraglide RS is faster and smoother than Jade dots but durability is even worse but they are cheaper. You should try them out.
I asked last stream but what's the average turn around time for these aftermarket skate companies to put out skates for new mice? I've been wondering how long it would take them to release stuff for the Hitscan Hyperlight.
Have Artisan P8’s on the K83 and it is tech. The only issue I find with the dots is if your mousepad is humid which isn’t ever really an issue on the K83🤯
Are after market mouse skates really necessary? I am really new to pc gaming. already have 2 mice and waiting on a 3rd to come in the mail. going wired with the OP1 8k, Also got me a Halo65he keyboard I can not wait to get. I really don't like this mechanical keyboard I have. But seriously mouse skates? should I put new skates on my mouse when I get it or do they wear out?
i use jades on my main mouse but i tried out the aliexpress clones ($1 for 20!) and they felt really similar to the point where i don't think id even know the difference in a blind test
9:08 mate I thought I was the only one that thought this. Ingenious concept of material use, but it needs to be polished again to achieve first time feeling experience. The bloke close down his store I think.
PA66 nylon isn't even the smoothest material used for keyboard switches. They're better off experimenting with POM or mixtures of other plastics with PTFE. If you guys are dead-set upon using the 66nylon skates, they might need some serious break-in before being considered "smooth"
From an outsidesr perspective this must be the the most nerd shit imaginable.
A tier list ranking plastic
LMAO
I think it’s arguably more nerd shit to be the run watching😭 at least he’s making money off this I’m just here watching
Just a touch of tism.
passion is passion

What a movie
Better cast than kraven the hunters
Lmaooo
Been waiting on this for a minute
Watching this in the shower
holy shit 6 stars of accuracy and force to stop is insane
omg i was waiting for this for so long cause i was thinking of getting new skates thanks man love the vids
30 different mouse feet, 30 different cloth pads glass pads, 30 different same shape mice a year, this shit aint like it used to be
Keep em tier list vids coming! Shockingly good
Now i will jump down the proverbial rabbit hole and find my preferred skates. Thank for the list!
what about xraypad obsidian (black)
and also which one you prefrer dots or donuts?
skate recommendation for hitscan hyperlight + sp004?
Boardzy, are you sure you have passed the break in period on Corepad Pro Max?
Why does no other PTFE skate have a similar "Break in" period where the edges feel feel worse than stock skates? And yes I did pass it when i threw them out lmao
@boardzy Idk, only a corepad gimmick. And yes I think they are overrated, but there are little to none 100% PTFE fullsize control skates on the market for Viper V3 Pro
actually crazy that i’ve been waiting for this tierlist 😭
I don't know why but I always come back to full size mouse skates
Same
I love obsidian airs,
great and informative video, shocking even
Agree most of the tiers actually, expect I'm having fun with Superglide glass skate v2/Lexip/XRaypad Meteorite on Shidekai v1/Element Ice.
Maybe I'm living in dry cold Canada, humidity isn't a problem.
Corepad air are awesome on the FX zero! Basically zero static friction - love it.
I'm here to see where you stand on Corepads because I am a Corepad Skatez Supremecist.
Boardzy can you talk a little more about the Pulsar X3 mini? How is the shape/feel of it? Everyone talking about the bigger one but not the mini :(
cordrua pad + glass skates is the best combo i have tried
fr makes it play like hockey table but at the same time really good stopping power
god DAMN that mustache is looking good
Thx for the tierlist, got some Magic Ice's coming for my GPX Dex, finally got some pads out for this thing!
Thrilling invigorating action packed skate review 🎉
Hey Boardzy :D are you gonna make a review of the pulsar x2v3 versions that came out recently?
I've tried Obsidian Air on Razer Viper V3 pro. Only tested them on cloth pads, wanted something for control, but they ended up being faster than stock skates and also not as smooth. best skates for type 99 mid for val/cs/fn?
Magic ice would be my top pick currently, if you can get a better deal on jades those are great as well
@@boardzy how would corepads or like obsidian airs be? Way to slow or?

What’s crazy is I was just watching your last video a few days ago on skates
what are ur favorite skates or dots for the kurosun ninja / similar speedpad? just got a new vv3pro
damn no LGG glass skates on here, was wondering what u thought of those, esp at the 5$ price they’re at rn
Same tier as all the other glass but they are cheaper. I wouldn't risk slowing down a cloth pad with it though, if you play on cordura or something plastic then it could be fine
@ been using it on the razer strider with my g303 se, I think that’s probably why I haven’t had any issues with it

guys best skates and grips for deathadder v3 pro ?
Jade speed vs unusual way magic ice, which of these are the fastest?
What are the pros/cons for using donuts?
hi im currently using a zero soft with corepads and im getting a type 99 mid/soft what skates that are slightly slower should i get? thank you in advance
obsidian air 100%
@@okjhg415 they're faster but higher quality and more consistent
Hey boardzy, could u also make a video on which skates are the best for control & speed for both cloth and glass pads?
xraypad obsidian air
Obsidian air best choice for glass pad?

the obsidian air pro are the updated wallhack skates from the same company that made the wallhack skates so y they should be worse than obsidian air pros
which skates are currently the most similar to hyperglides?

Shocking. My favorite skates are Lamzu glass skates on my Atlantis and Corepad air on my X2. Always on hybrid fast pads.
Do glass skates and mouse grip help with your accuracy with more control?
What about the New corepad max CNC milled skates?
Are the magic ice or the tiger ice v2 better for my gpx 2? And which of them is faster?
Should i use stock skates on my viper v3 pro?
What tier would you put the glass mouse skates that come with the viper mini se?
obsidian pad skates feel really good with lgg saturn pro and venus og, smooth glide with control and good stopping power
Obsidian Air donuts are goated af. Love them on my AC Pro Mid Neon.
Best christmas present
What would be the slowest skates for a cloth pad like Xraypad Equate/LGG Jupiter/ Zowie GSR? Any skates that would give ultimate control/high drag?
If you want genuine mud go for the obsidian pro airs. But most people only think they want that

so what is the best glass skates to get for long lasting speed
can u use the obsidian air skates in artisan mousepad?
thanks for this tier list....i'm curious to try green jade air
I asked last stream but what's the average turn around time for these aftermarket skate companies to put out skates for new mice? I've been wondering how long it would take them to release stuff for the Hitscan Hyperlight.
Hitscan hyperlight actually comes with jades stock I believe. I think unusual way esports is very fast with new models along with corepad
@@boardzy Thanks
@boardzy yeah they're the only people who made skates for Mchose G3 that I could find.

hyperglides are really the Quaaludes of the peripheral community
What’s the best mouse skates for the Artisan hien soft, too slow it down a bit and feel less texture? (My main game is Fortnite)

waited for this just for u to say u didnt include my meteorites 😭
i m gonna grab a popcar for this documentary
I have obsidian pro for my SP-004 obsidian air are better?
Best dots for kazemi?
he could done mouse shape tier, but good video
lardaas indian

I use obsidian reds because the obsidians pros/air are too controlled on glass and the jades wear out too quickly on glass
but is the magic ice faster than jades?
From fastest to slowest: UltraGlide RS > Jade Speed (same as UltraGlide Speed) > UWS Magic Ice > Tiger Ice V2
Never changed skates in my life. Decided to upgrade my XM1R to an XM2W 4K and I'll chuck some Magic Ice skates on it. This is all your fault man 😅
which mouse skate is the fastest
Hi, Boardzy :)
