I don’t play fighting games but it seemed that semij was a better player and sf just relied on long rang spam to win him the game.
Jonathan Edwards I actually play fighting games and even though it seems like spam, it is super difficult to do spacing and long range game as well as he does it. Most of the spam is just spacing, if it was spam, he would be super easily punished. I’d say that Semij is good, but doesn’t have as much knowledge to bait the combo’s of sf, that what sf was doing, spacing then punishing failed combos. It is actually a very difficult strategy to do low tier, but at their level, it’s basically required.
Only reason he went deadshot was to out zone him using poison ivy so sonic is the better player close combat or zoning
Sonic's victory was predictable. Cap. Cold has the biggest range and tons of options for every character. Semiij's strong gameplay with nerfed Catwoman and underused Poison Ivy was really unexpected. Sonic destroyed everyone, but not Semiij.
Semiij should use Poison Ivy more often. He only showed her basic moves while she has such a strong corner pressure and tricky close up options. Ivy is a very good counter pick but Semiij hasn't mastered her enough
Look i see what youre saying but Cold does not have the widest range of options for every character. Hes a very good anti rushdown character who struggles against Zoners. He can take on characters with very limited to no zoning options but just about every zoner on the cast can outzone him. Semij is just an extremely good opponent for Sonic. In my opinion Semij is the second best player in IJ2

I agree with you plus CC is hard to use but he still can deal with zoners. FoxyGrampa is the best Deadshot now and he had no chance against CC online. I saw that stream. Ivy would be good though but Semiij sucked with her

Isn't Captain Cold a little OP? I mean, his cold field takes 2/3 of the screen and stays for far too long.And it's not that he is inactive during that, he can still do whatever he wants.Just put this field and fire continuously!I am not trying to excuse Semij here, or anything, I just wonder.

NikFlyer if they just took the MKX controls with the INJ2 characters and stages we would have the greatest game. I think MKX is too "violent" and no one cares about the characters as much as INJ but MK has the better core functions.
