giovan monti i read rich dad, poor dad when i was in high school. It changed my entire mindset about money and made me want to be an entrepreneur. Fast forward 15 yrs later, i now own several businesses, invest in paper assets and real estate. Reading the right books can change your life :)

As an art teacher, I wholeheartedly agree that fine art is an assets that gains value over time. One of my close friends is a full time painter and I have one of his originals. He has gained lots of popularity and now that painting is worth 4x more than I paid.
I'm an artist myself, and I'm trying to sell art by using Dan Lok's Method.

My daddy, bless his heart, was a compulsive gambler. He never saved, was always in debt and our family cars were usually older cars. He did however invest in his retirement through his employer. He worked for the post office while it was still under the federal government.

When it comes to most of these categories you still have some risk of loosing money. E.g Arts & Antiques are often closely tied to current trends. Things that were very well apreciated and sought after a few years ago could be worthless today. Of course that works the other way around aswell. Sometimes it is hard to predict how these things will evolve.
Same for automobiles. In contrast to arts & antiques, automobiles do have constant maintenance, road tax and ensurance costs (depends on where you live). In most cases, these costs will exceed the potential accretion by far.
Last but not least, any object is worth just as much as someone is willing to pay for it. Especially when it comes to collectibles this can vary a lot.
Anyways, like in most cases you just have to know what you are doing, and sticking to things you have a personal passion about is always a good idea. Then you will naturally know your stuff better.
