Generally speaking, you don't want to attack on a drawn gun. Drawn gun always wins. It's already aiming. You can't out-pace that. Even if Jamal is holding it sideways and obviously can't shoot a target at 20 yards, etc.-- well, you're not at 20 yards and he's drawn.

The biggest thing I discovered by re-watching this is that it's not about how hard I practice but the quality of the practice - taking the time to understand what's wrong and trying out a new way to fix it rather than practicing the same wrong thing over and over and over again. I can see how thinking only 1-3 steps ahead will allow myself to do that whereas thinking 1,000 steps ahead will make myself want to take action and just get there sooner without any focus on the capability.

That is the law of practice...We get better at anything we practice for a long time, even if it is wrong. That's why we need to learn and correct our actions continuesly.

@@manojyadav4942 You're kinda right. But we need to figure out the right way of practicing and stop the wrong way. Sometimes people practice the wrong way unaware. That has to be realized and stopped. This is what Alex meant.

Dan, a few weeks ago, I watched your video "What Rich People Invest In that The Middle Class Don't" and a light went on!
Someone said to me a long time ago "Never be afraid to give up the person you are in order to be the person you want to be", and I have practiced that, but now I can do it with a new mission in mind!
I have decided I am not going to be poor anymore, but I am going to become rich, and I am starting to put some ideas into action.
    Thanks for showing the way!

I'm practising Martial Arts over 30 years and teaching over 25 years! Yes Martial Arts prepares for life I love the explanation and demonstration! Awesome :) People saying "practice makes perfect" what isn't true! Good practice makes better but nothing is perfect! If you practice too fast probably you just practice faster the mistakes! Faster is just faster, more is just more and only the better is better!

    # 3 of 100. Points learnt : become capability gatherer. Not just knowledge gatherer. Shiney object syndrome is when people don't believe they can achieve what they want to achieve .They keep picking up shiney items to keep them satisfied. Take baby steps just do it. If you dont take time for the setup { practicing) you won't make the conditions for the results

I think Bruce Lee will be proud of how you honour him, the art of Wing Chun, and more importantly extend the influence of his legacy into the business world. You found your voice and help others find theirs through your integration of martial arts philosophies (that you live, not just quote) into business philosophies. Too many people exploiting Bruce Lee and JKD for their own gain and I am really inspired when I see a fellow perpetuator of the Dragon's Flame!

Gosh this talk is so helpful, especially the part where the over-thinking about the future and worry that you will be stuck forever in a particular profession and set in stone, I like the approach of not making an identity out of a profession, just acquiring a skill. It's what i was struggling with it.

Conveyance!... I've always believed that it's something incredibly important in what I love about you're speaking and teaching is that you have mastered it... your approach and style conveys well with a lot of different types of people. You make things relatable and relaxed by expressing yourself in a genuine form... this helps incredibly when trying to connect with people whether it be sales or just in general..you don't swear just because your trying to be "edgy" (which I can't stand when trolls in the comments have something to say about it smh) you do it because that's how normal people speak and you do it with an emphasis on what you're speaking about...it makes your approach more human rather than some robot ass toolbox trying to get over on you...know what I mean??....You draw your audience in and get your point across on a deeper level than most.. Dan's conveyance level is MASTER CLASS ~~~(Bows respectively)..

It amazes me that this habit of saying "like" so often without it being necessary in the phrase is present even in the people from this video. For some reason I thought that they would have more self control and care more about there image even through the way they speak.
