too bad, a lot of car manufacturers nowadays are planning to go full electric by 2030. Well, lucky if you can find a properly used/second hand unit in the next "20 years" like you said. Anyways keep on reaching it

Hey Toyota! Tacoma owner here. Love you guys. But.. for how much more the pro costs than the base model, you should offer an upgrade in power! 278 horsepower is fine. No complaints. But with how reliable that engine is, there should be a supercharger! And I know I'm not the only one who thinks that. Thanks for listening
Now this is a car that fits in the heritage, is still innovative and new, looks great and is fit for what its advertised for! I love when car brands keep all that in mind, creating a full-bodied great new vehicle!
They hold their value. I paid 31.5k plus fees, just under 35k out the door for my 2018. 27 months later my local dealer offered me 32.5k with 24k miles.
I like how Toyota puts a lock on the door so my $15 umbrella doesn’t get stolen but still hasn’t been innovative enough to figure out how to secure catalytic converters so they are difficult to steal.

Confidence inspiring six speed automatic? Yeah, as long as you don't mind the constant gear hunting. I'd like to try a Hilux diesel to see if it's as bad. Unfortunately, Toyota seems to think that the US market doesn't need the diesel.
it's the emissions. US diesel emissions are more strict than other parts of the world and have lesser quality of diesel makes it worse. The money for R&D to pass emissions is just not worth it to Toyota. Toyota is not here to have a vehicle for everyone, they're here to make a large profit for each vehicle, a small margin for a niche crowd with low sales is not worth it. That being said, in 2019 Toyota patented a US high compression technology for diesels that doesn't require emissions equipment to pass emissions. So maybe in a few years?
the US market does not need a diesel.. why would they?? diesels are ruined by the EPA anyways bud.. thats why 7.3 diesels with 300k go for 12 thousand dollars are more lol
I have a 2020 Ford Ranger Super Crew. Even though I think it has a better balance of power, efficiency, interior room, and pricing...the Tacoma has old school proven reliability, durability, simplicity, and resale value that makes it a better truck for the long haul 👍
All these people that are getting the cyber truck have not ever driven a truck before. They’re all buying it for the hype. Its gonna be funny when all these people crashing their cyber trucks ahahahah
The TRD PRO is an amazing off road pickup truck, but there are some things TRD could add to the 3rd gen (if we ever get a 3rd gen). A new body kit would be nice to widen the truck, Goodyear Wrangler Duratrack or BFG KO2 tires, bead-lock capable forged rims, add 1-2 inches to the factory lift, but now a block lift so we have super long travel suspension, slightly softer springs, a supercharged 4 liter V8, a larger diameter high flow TRD exhaust, a functional hood scoop, a functional snorkel, an 8 speed transmission, and finally a front locking differential. If Toyota would let TRD go wild and make a truck similarly to the one I described, I would imagine it could dominate the Jeep Gladiator, Chevrolet Colorado ZR2, and the Ford Ranger Raptor (if we ever get it in North America).
Thank you for keeping the manual transmission, Toyota! Now send some to dealers so we can buy them! I had to wait over six months for a manual. It was worth the wait. The dealers only stock autos in black, white, and gray.
Hopefully the R&D budget didn’t get wasted on the development of the color scheme. QDR on the 3rd Gen Tacoma is questionable. Toyota WAS a great company.
Okay this thing is badass! 😭. Icon UCA, fox coil overs! What about bump stops? What is the travel in inches? How much horsepower is the engine? What about steering knuckles and lower controls arms? Rick sliders? Roof rack? Bed rack? Complete underneath skid plates? Winch bumper with high clearance front and back? LED lights? Switch panel? Roof top tent? Etc........They still left a lot out of it.....a lot! Why not just build out the whole thing factory direct? Why not? Stewpud. It’s like they started 15 percent of the build?
