    Awesome little vid here as only just learnt of the on car cleaning method, my hdi mini is pulling ok but the DPF light comes on and ash level is pretty full, I’ve got it to regen to drop the soot but the ash is still there (1.76L) which is right round on the BimmerLink tool. If performance starts dropping off I’ll definitely be doing this, thanks for the clear video and explanation 👍

      Hi thanks for watching i would say just do it anyway as it will make a world of difference especially if you're having to manually regen. Hope you get it sorted.

    Used somthing similar in the past.... Ideal if you're selling a car but its not a fix... Lasts about 2/3 then it's back in the same state again

      Hi thanks for watching, this does actually work I can confirm, been over a year car still running fine dpf not blocked. You need to also know why the dpf was blocked in the first place or it won't last as you say. There will be a reason if it blocks. Many reasons why.

      My Touareg was blocked solid used this 10 months ago still running fine you must have your own Dpf cleaning company robbing people of £250 a time

    it's easier if you only remove oxygen sensor and apply the product directly through the oxygen sensor housing. I've made it several times with exceptional results

      sounds like your catalitic converter migth be the issue

    • @adamautomotive
      @adamautomotive  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi thanks for watching, that white smoke could be catalytic converter if it has a rotten egg smell to it. Or potentially head gasket issue. This should only be used to clean blocked dpf filters. Could maybe be an oil burning issue too. Hope you got it sorted. Kind regards, Adam

      Would black smoke be dpf

    • @adamautomotive
      @adamautomotive  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jamestucker6440 black smoke would indicate excess fuel, could be turbo or intercooler boost leak, injection system fault etc

    You say it wouldn't start up and run for a few seconds before.
    How did you manage to go through the procedure the instructions gave you?. You had to run the car at idol for 5 minutes. How was possible if the car wouldn't start?
    Is it because you removed the pressure sensor?

    • @adamautomotive
      @adamautomotive  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi thanks for watching. It would start but cut out on idle due to high pressure. Soon as cleaner soaked in and broke soot in filter down it ran much easier.

      Hi thanks for watching and the great comment. You need to find the pressure pipes on your dpf just look for any thin black hollow rubber tubes attached to the exhaust system, you will most likely need to be underneath the car to see them. Hope that helps.

    Hi, may i ask a question? This product is only for a stucked dpf? Mine is pretty okay, but quite dated, 12 years and old 140'000km and i wanted do this operation like preventive mainteinance, what are your thoughts? Thanks

    • @adamautomotive
      @adamautomotive  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi no its to clean any dpf, doesn't have to be blocked. I would recommend it on any dpf filter.

    do you have checked the pressure difference before and after the DPF? Its the best indication for checking results.
    flow rate is always higher when running 2500 rpm compared to idle.

      Hi yes DPF differential pressure. Thanks for watching.

    Hello, are these sprays suitable for engines with DPF placed after the turbo, in the front of the engine? Isn't there a possibility for some of the spray to get in the turbo and from there in the engine?

    • @dodgydave4841
      @dodgydave4841 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Really ?

    • @adamautomotive
      @adamautomotive  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. I would say the dpf is always placed after the turbo, its the final part of the exhaust system except for the silencer. No possibility that it will get in the turbo no. Kind regards, Adam

    • @ronaldjesse9892
      @ronaldjesse9892 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      DPF is behind turbo, but the manual warns that Turbo must me on a higher position then DPF filter to prevent ckleaner fluid runs into the turbo.

    Great review! I'd seen people putting the spray in through the O2 sensor, which I suspect will be hit and miss whether it comes out or snaps! Pressure sensor pipe sounds a much easier idea.
