The first car I owned was a 10 year old Vauxhall soft top and I never had any problems with it even after a large milage and we had a lot of fun with it, the only issue I had was with knee action front shockers which would raise the front up under heavy braking, the one I owned had been fitted with a grey Holden engine which made it a quick jigger.
Its so nice to see so many people in agreement here, this is mind boggleing nonsense. Hands up those who want it, & many others of its style REMOVED !!!
The MM unreliable for its time? Give us a break. The fact that there are so many still on the road all around the world is testament to their quality and reliability.
The Singer SM1500 was never called "Singer SM 1 thousand, five hundred, or SM one five zero zero". In typical English it was called a Singer SM fifteen hundred"
What a load of badly edited video, showing wrong cars to the computer generated commentary . Also mass produced, inaccurate criticism facts just thrown in randomly about every car. Total rubbish , composed by someone who knows little about any of the cars 🥶!
My father had a standard super and it was not noisy as you have described. It was a very reliable motor car. Rust was a problem on all cars and it was caused by sulphurous acid in the air produced by the burning of coal in industry and domestic heating. Also the steels used were not rust resistance compared with today's materials.
How poor is this video ,some of the pictures are of A Triumph Renown ,4 doors and much bigger than a Mayflower ,an unforgivable error from some one who sets themselves up as knowledgeable !
These cars are very easy to fix .the wiring if it goes wrong witch is very rare its very easy to repair .and they have lasted a very long time .something no one can say that modern cars will do .I would take anyone of these cars over any new mobile computer .in fact I have a Vauxhall wyvern 1953 model E now and had it for now for 36 years
The picture is an Austin counties yet they are talking about the Austin Atlantic. The Atlantic did come back in the guise of the Austin Healy sportscar
I found the Morris Minor to be a reliable economical family runabout and was very popular and remains so as first time classic owners.
This wanker hasn’t a clue.
And much faster than what he said
Complete load of AI generated bollocks. Typical know it all garbage.
My cousin had a Bond 3 wheeler. We lived in Aylesbury and he lived in Kent. He used to visit us once a month. It was so economical and reliable.

He should get a job at the BBC. The amount of crap he talks makes him a perfect candidate as a news reader.
