It is silly to apply today's more advanced mechanical,engineering and metallurgical technology in motor cars to past motor cars, which is what the commentary here implies. British cars of the 50s were little different in those respects to any in the world built anywhere. It would seem that we are expected to believe that car technology has not advanced at all over these decades, and 1950s cars should have been as good as today's, according to this "critical theory" diatribe!

This commentary on the video takes no account of the perpetual strikes in motor car plants across Britain in the 1970s. That often deeply affected quality because of the often vicious ideology of the strikers in numerous examples, where even after returning to work having extorted large pay increases etc., , they would deliberately sabotage the cars they were building!

Well who ever claimed that because it is old it therefore must be a classic? A classic is usually a car that stood out in some way for qualities which it exhibited. Those qualities help it become a classic eventually and many cars of any nation are only worthy of the scrapyard once they have ended their useful life. Britain being one of the rainiest countries in the world, and with the salting and gritting of roads in winter time to make icy roads safer, it is impossible that anything made of steel could avoid rust!

These videos are for morons, by morons. Your take on the Studebaker Commander is a case in point. The car is attractively styled very much in the 64-66 style. Most everything was a boxy style then. Studebaker offered an impressive list of standard features, many other manufacturers charged extra for. You speak about Studebaker's V8, but in 65-66 the V8 used was a GM V8. You consistently show models like the Cruiser rather than the low end Commander your trashing. I've owned 4 models from this era, all top level models and the interior appointments were anything BUT cheap. The build quality on these cars was bulletproof, they could outlast, outrun anything else being built then. This is nothing but a clickbate site where you trash classics and collector vehicles. You shouldn't even have a channel, your obviously quite stupid.

You got some facts wrong on the Hillman imp. They were water cooled. Not air cooled as stated. The Austin a40 had ok performance for a 1.2 cc engine and it had a large interior with leather upholstery. It had an unusual column change ( reversed of most) and was a 4 speed. This gave it more room on the front bench seat, another unusual feature on a small engined English car.

This video is completely disrespectful to all Europeans who after WW2 tried to pick up their lives from the rubbles - a problem the USA did not have - and saved pennies, centimes, centavos, pfennige, lire and what have you in an effort to afford their own car, again or for the first time. Some iconic cars were produced in the effort, none of them were crappy, this video , however, is. Mixing up the Trabant with the DAF 33 is also hilarious.

I'm 78, I've owned many cars of the era. All cars of this era rusted, especially the Morris Minor you compare to the A30. There were no attenpts to prevent it so you harping on about it is pointless. You could mention any car and mention rust. The series 2 Morris Minor had an 803cc engine... None of the cars of the era were intended to be speedy....there were no motorways, few dual carriage ways, and lots of 3 line with suicide overtaking lanes. It was another erathat you never lived in.

It seems that this series serves first and foremost as a hatefest aimed at classic European car heritage, with a couple of mandatory US-made cars thrown in each time as if to claim balance and fairness. It makes absolutely no sense, as evidenced by a total of 218 likes after 30k views.

As for the Buick Skylark. They were always top of the line in the A body lineup. In 1970 and 1987, they were the fastest muscle cars. Even beating the HEIM CUDA in 1970. I'm not sure where you're getting you're information but it's very wrong with a Buick being cheap and for poor people. Buick has always been next to Cadillac.

The Viva HA was a very successful car with well over 100,000 sold in the (intended) three year run, it gained plenty of traction and competed well with the Morris Minor, the Cortina being in a different market sector, used HA’s were well sought after too, the HA led to the Viva HB, one of the most successful cars in the UK.
