Josh, that move that you made of letting the stuck piece of wood become an extra weight for helping to split itself DOES WORK, but it’s unfortunately got it’s own problems in performing it. That extra weight makes it very difficult at times to get it up in the air like it should be. Then you really need to be able to have enough velocity (speed) when it comes down to your solid object. I have difficulty with getting it up high enough with the pieces of wood that I can’t split in a normal manner. The ones that I can get high enough, I don’t need to perform that trick. But like I said, it does work but with certain limitations 😢
Everything has a purpose in the usage, but people like me will push it farther than it should be. I’m about 50% sometimes it works and sometimes it don’t.
