    Thanks for posting! I replaced my factory speaker with Infinity. They sound great. In your speaker comparison the factory speaker sound has more bass while the Kickers have more clarity. I'm replacing my tweeters next. The factory tweeters leave a lot to be desired.

      Yeah the kickers NEEDED a amp. Switched over to Rockford fosgate and they work way better off stock power. Editing a video now for adding a 4 channel amp system

      @@BigStuDolla91 i can't wait to see your Rockford Fosgate video. I actually purchased that set of speakers first but there shipping issues with Amazon and the company that sold them were ass. I purchased the Infinity and haven't looked back............ Hold up. I thought Rockford Fosgate and Kicker was the same company like JBL and Infinity! Anyway I'm glad that you're sound system is doing better.

    They sound so good, he took them out and got Rockfords and an amp. Replacing stock is tricky. The factory head unit has extensive DSP built in to make those factory speakers sound good. Now you replace the factory speakers and you have poorly tuned better speakers.

    So instead of connecting to the stock cross over on the door. You just unplugged it. And bypassed it. Can i just splice in to the stock cross over for my new tweeters or do i need a aftermarket tweeter crossover? Nice video.

    • @BigStuDolla91
      @BigStuDolla91  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You might be able to get by with the stock crossover. I tend to add amps to my door speakers so I bypassed it so I wouldn't blow it when that day came

  • @jordandllrd
    @jordandllrd ปีที่แล้ว

    Did you connect speaker wire to your 6x9 before you connected the wiring harness to connect the crossover and tweeter wire? Then connect all of it together.

    • @BigStuDolla91
      @BigStuDolla91  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I believe so. Would have needed to connect the 6x9 to the crossover. The tweeter to the crossover. Then the harness to the crossover

    recently got a grand cherokee and had to upgrade the system. I’m adding 2 ds18 tweeters, 2 6x9 ds18 coaxial, 2 6.5 bullet speakers, then a 1000 watt 4 channel amp for the doors, and a 1200 watt mono amp for my 8 inch sub. I bought the LC1 converter. anything else you think i could possibly need? thanks for the help.(also the 4 channel amp doesn’t have a selector for 2 channels or 4 and has 4 rca connections would i still be able to do this?)

    • @BigStuDolla91
      @BigStuDolla91  ปีที่แล้ว

      You’d need either a 6channel loc (4 for the doors and 2 for the subs) like a lc7i or you’ll have to use rca splitters for each side of the 4 channel amp

    • @gabe8941
      @gabe8941 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. I would go to Crutchfield.com and enter in your car. From there it will tell you what speakers go where and suggest the best kind to work with that system.
      I’ll say that components tend to sound better than coaxials but they also require more work to install and power to get loud
