Just one of the best songs, ever. "Spit makes a fender shine, Frankie's a friend of mine. Got me off a bender after long-legged Brenda died". Seriously, does it get better than that?
These guys are absolutely incredible! Their albums are all great! LOVE this song...and the drummer plays like Levon Helm from the Band...the lyrics are fantastic! Long Live The Felice Brothers!
Again to late to stay sober I realize when this "Brothers" song comes up! I'm the lucky one cause my liver loves them too! Gr. from the Netherlands, and enjoy your ballgame tonight:-) Frank
I looked up a list of all the songs in skins season 3. I listened to every single one of them, about +150 songs. Listening to all of them took me 5 hours. And now I have to download the ones I like. This is going to be a long night.
Its happening all over; bands like yeah yeah yeahs, wilco, the flaming lips, seasick steve, ryan adams, spoon - we're seeing a rejuvenated flush of good music from all different spectrums of music and, you know what, its only starting. This generation has a hell of a lot to sing about.
So the next time you city slickers go up to hunter mtn. to ski remember you are passing through felice brother land in the catskill mtns. Palenville represent!
@SuperNarwhales oh yeah i could just tell by their style it'd be one of the best live performances you'd ever see.. they jam so well and are all so into the music. Great tune
Saw these guys at a festival in Dorset (south england) and the singer yells out "its great to be here in london or wherever the fuck we are". Still managed to win the crowd over.
this tune absolutly rocks i first heard it on the tv show skins and loved the tune these guys are gr8 i would luv to hear them live that would be cool my other favorite is whiskey in my whiskey LOOK UP (LOADED BY DEACON BLUE) THATS A TUNE
@13Bee1 yee i mean i just checked a list where all of the songs were :D but i had to listen to all of them properly to know which ones i want to download..
is this intentionally filmed like 'the band: the last waltz'? also it sounds musically like the band/van morrison playing caravan: /watch?v=TIiUwZfqMSU at 1:57
@yumone Freewheelin' era has the feel, but is without the din of a band The Basement Tapes (though they claim they haven't ever heard them) are very similar. John Wesley Harding album Desire album Just a few I can think of. Everyone is inspired by Dylan.
They don't sound like Bob Dylan, they do sound like The Band however who Bob Dylan toured with. I think that's where people get confused, but I could be wrong.
the first time i heard them i thought he sounded like bob dylan, but i dont think so anymore. now when i listen to them all i hear is the felice brothers
I saw them at Nateva in Maine. Guess I got lucky because the put on one of the best performances of the festival. I cant imagine a bad show... maybe the audience just sucked !
saw them a couple weeks ago at the troubador, they were much more raucas than this. ian was up on the bass drum numerous times, they were all coked up as fuck, and ian actually fell over and stayed down for awhile. best show i've seen in a long time. met them too. bummed james a smoke.
The lyrics, and the singing style are somewhat dylanesque, But aren't we all influenced by Dylan, whether it be by his music in a creative way or by his music in our everyday lives
I am here for you Felice Brother’s,still in 2020. Thank for the great memories and the great music!!!!!!!
Just one of the best songs, ever. "Spit makes a fender shine, Frankie's a friend of mine. Got me off a bender after long-legged Brenda died". Seriously, does it get better than that?

is this intentionally filmed like 'the band: the last waltz'?

@yumone
Freewheelin' era has the feel, but is without the din of a band
The Basement Tapes (though they claim they haven't ever heard them) are very similar.
John Wesley Harding album
Desire album
Just a few I can think of.
Everyone is inspired by Dylan.
good
@yumone quinn the eskimo from the basement tapes kinda sounds similar
They don't sound like Bob Dylan, they do sound like The Band however who Bob Dylan toured with. I think that's where people get confused, but I could be wrong.
he recorded with them too on The Basement Tapes. Should have mentioned that
i reckon they sound a bit Dylanish.... I don't think they're trying to be.
The singer's voice reminds me of Mike Ness. I'm liking it.
That's for to take my sister to the picture show...
Goddamn this is a good song.
the first time i heard them i thought he sounded like bob dylan, but i dont think so anymore. now when i listen to them all i hear is the felice brothers
@Smallville357 i know that but why did he cover it cause if so i wanna go listen to it cause i love him :)
@willsalegend
name one bob dylan song that sounds anything like this
They have to limit it to one?
I saw them at Nateva in Maine. Guess I got lucky because the put on one of the best performances of the festival. I cant imagine a bad show... maybe the audience just sucked !
@chrystalballs same! :)
@Smallville357 Haha, that's exactly how I found these guys too!! :D

@Smallville357 did not mean it like that i meant i love his music and jeez no need for that anyway

saw them a couple weeks ago at the troubador, they were much more raucas than this. ian was up on the bass drum numerous times, they were all coked up as fuck, and ian actually fell over and stayed down for awhile. best show i've seen in a long time. met them too. bummed james a smoke.
A lot of "The Band" and in a good way
The lyrics, and the singing style are somewhat dylanesque, But aren't we all influenced by Dylan, whether it be by his music in a creative way or by his music in our everyday lives
