A beginner exercise? I've moved past that, except it sounds great and I will incorporate it into my practice warm-up routine. Like many of your other warm-up routines. It was almost 2 years ago that I stumbled across one of your videos, I paused it and went out and bought a keyboard. Je te donne mes plus sincères remerciements. I wasn't at my piano, but I'm learning the fretboard on my ukulele. And so I practiced this on my baritone uke. It sounds great. I decided to learn the songs from my early piano method books in the ukulele. I've also become a music theory geek, and the other day there was an AP Music Theory practice exam video. I scored a 15 out of 15. Again, thank you very much for giving new meaning for my life. I am in a bad depression since my fight for climate activism has failed. Music is a great full body hobby.
Thank you for this lesson. It really shows how simplicity in chord practice can sound really pleasing to the ear. I have recognised this structure in many a film/tv soundtrack. Your teaching style is brilliant, please don't stop.
I love this exercise!! I did level 2 and showed it to my teacher. He told me to try level 3, although I am quite new, but with some music theory I did it :) ty so much!
I have learnt more from you than anyone else. I've started learning this year and going quite good but I still can't seem to place my pinky aesthetically on the keys when they're not used. They behave so weird and hang like crab claws.
Thankyou so much for this. I was really bored learning scales and I only just started learning! Thanks to this video I actually started learning a Ludovico Einaudi song today because this exercise gave me more confidence 😅
I looked at this and thought 'easy' then found my left hand a bit wonky 😊 love the encouragement to improvise, my knowledge of chords is very weak so will work on this, thank you!
I like to also start maybe on the first note in one hand and the second or third note in the other hand. Then try switching whilst playing. It really ties my head in a knot but it's great practice.
Hi Jazer! I have a question unrelated to the video but I always hear you say learn your chords. When you say learn chords what exactly so you mean? Learn the combinations of the most popular chords? The sound they make or the hand/finger positions. Thanks 😊
My technique bumped up a lot when I started to play Bach. From the technique point of view it’s as useful as Hanon but unlike it these small Bach preludes are masterpieces.
Lovely exercise. Git the first part down okay, but the second part nit do great. I am a classically trained pianist and I have always been bad at improvisation . I am not giving up though!

Going to take some work, but I really love the sound of this one
Your videos are so incredibly helpful! Warm ups like this which help me with chords are my favourite.
Thanks for all you do!

So much better sounding than boring scales which we had to do in my youth...and put off a lot of aspiring pianists!
Thank you for this lesson. It really shows how simplicity in chord practice can sound really pleasing to the ear. I have recognised this structure in many a film/tv soundtrack. Your teaching style is brilliant, please don't stop.

Very Good Chord Progressions Cheers Best Wishes
Loved it! Challenging and helpful as I’ve been practicing a lot of improvisation lately. Thanks!
I have learnt more from you than anyone else. I've started learning this year and going quite good but I still can't seem to place my pinky aesthetically on the keys when they're not used. They behave so weird and hang like crab claws.
Same here. I had to consciously keep them down. Now it's second nature.
Thankyou so much for this. I was really bored learning scales and I only just started learning! Thanks to this video I actually started learning a Ludovico Einaudi song today because this exercise gave me more confidence 😅
I love this. thank you!

Beautiful, Jazer, thanks for sharing! This reminds me of "Truman sleeps" from The Truman Show movie... Absolutely beautiful song

I love your videos! So inspiring and informative. Are you still giving private lessons? How do I find out more about that?
Can you make a video on playing triplets against 2 eight notes pls? This is such a struggle to master
Wow ❤❤❤❤
Sounds just like Nuvole Bianche by Ludovico Einaudi. I love this tune.

Great Tutorial Jazer More Power! I wonder what is the title of the soundtrack seems familiar? Thank you

Can you further explain what a 6-4-1-5 progression is? I can play the broken chords easy enough but I don’t understand the concept of a progression.
Trying to start learning! Had one year at age 16 many years ago but had to stop. I’m now 78 and don’t know which tutorial to take when! Please help!
Im interested in proper fingering. One my left hand can i use 4 finger for g?
Sounds like Phillip Glass
Can i play this on keyboard?... without thr use of piano.??
Yes of course
Lovely exercise. Git the first part down okay, but the second part nit do great. I am a classically trained pianist and I have always been bad at improvisation . I am not giving up though!
Hello! Please Can somebody explain me very well the princip of the impro which He use!?
The advanced section (level three) 5:42 sounds Chopin-ish
Reminds me of some piece from Einaudi.
Nuvole Bianche
W Lee!
How do you know the chords through the Roman numeral?
It sounds like the beginning melody of the song all of me haha
Yes! I started playing All of me in my head mid video haha
Very Philip Glass!! 😅
Can you make a proper posture video? :)
How to use this finger
That chord pattern sounds like "All of Me" by John Legend.
For begginers? Let me smile a bit....

Hi Jazer! Took notice that you got a new haircut! Right? Looks great. Military look! :-)))

Beginner?
Uh.... Okay first... I'm not Asian. 😂
I'm going to need something much more rudimentary.
