The Transformer album was the first record (yes, record 😄) I ever bought with my own money as a kid. It was of course immediately scratched by my brother (🤣)! Anyway, I've always lover this solo. I didn't realize until decades later when I was buying some Suhr Aldrich pickups and trying to figure out who the heck this Doug Aldrich guy was that he was the same person who laid down one of my favorite guitar solos of all time on this song. Perfectly composed and played.
Wow! Where to start? I love the SICK harmonics you added (or at least made more pronounced) in the intro riff! Great stuff! I didn't realize til seeing this video that Doug Aldrich was in LION, either. Thanks for the tidbit. Great harmony @2:56. And excellent soloing too. Spot on. Great cover.
Thank you so much. From what I remember, the original song does have the harmonics, although I definitely made them more pronounced. Neil did an amazing job with the solo and I wouldn't be surprised if his rendition is the most accurate one on TH-cam!
Yoooo this is sick bro. Have you ever thought about doing some GI joe music? You could make guitar versions of the cobra theme or space bridge. Depends on if you want to or not. Just a suggestion. Love your transformers and star wars guitar covers though. Keep up the good work my guy.
I'll probably do something from GI Joe, but I tend to be rather slow with these covers so it'll probably be a while, and I definitely need to finish some more Star Wars stuff too! Thank you so much for listening!
Y’all did way too good with this one. I love it so much. And now I have a video guide for how to handle one of the most epic guitar solos known to man. Just give me half a century, and maybe…
awesomeI why didn’t they use any of the ‘86 movie soundtrack in TF One? I mean, at least this song? I say have it rescored and Breadhenge play the music 😊
They could have played this song at the scene where optimus prime resurfaced at cybertron to stop megatron destroying the planet after killing sentinel.
Thanks! I'm always lucky to have Neil aboard whenever I need a killer solo. I believed I used the same guitar tone on my Stan Bush covers but I'm not 100% sure
@@breadhenge When I hear him..there is just something in his playing that speaks to me. Reminds a bit of Craig from Forbidden and that is a very high compliment in my book.
@@metal_helm When I hear him, it makes me want to play air guitar even though I have real guitars. Probably because I'd never be able to play like him anyways, lol
This is sick!! Been looking for a solid cover of this for years. Any idea where I can get accurate tabs for this? All the ones I've seen online are wrong.
Thanks, Tommy! I did this one by ear. I used Eb tuning, although I believe standard tuning would work too aside from the harmonics I used during some of the sections. From what I remember, the solo for this cover was performed in D standard tuning. Hope that helps!

Hits harder than Megatron blasting hole’s through Autobots! You and Neil KILLED IT!🔥🔥🔥
Haha thanks man!

Awesome choice for being your first album! Doug Aldrich is a fantastic player and I think Neil really nailed that guitar solo.
YES! The Lion version is my favorite! You did this justice sir! 10/10! Also still the best TF movie imo!
Best TF movie indeed!
Transform and roll out!
This throws harder than rodimus throwing galvatron across the universe
That's what I like to hear!
All the impact without the brain damage!
BALLER. I'm going to be running a oneshot in the Transformers TTRPG soon, this is going RIGHT on the combat playlist.
Right on dude! I think this should make for some fun battle music
One of my favorite themes!!!
Is perfect!!!
Must Add now to my TF Music list ❤
Just a joy to listen to. Brings me back to being a kid.

@@breadhenge No prob! 😎
Perfection
Amazing cover just like all the rest Primus would be proud.
AWESOME! Plus a perfect post for Friday 13th as I only know Lion from Transformers and Friday the 13th Part IV!
I didn't realize that they had a song featured in Friday the 13, so that's actually a really interesting coincidence!
Incredible work you two! Keep it up
Thank you, thank you!
This is legendary mate. Keep doing what you're doing as this is amazing!
Thank you for the kind words!
WOOOOOHOOOO

Jesus Christ this is good
Haha thank you! I think Neil stole the show with this one, and rightfully so!

banger as usual! new sound again? more mid-rangy? I like it. And Neil is a guitar god 🤘

Eventually, yes!

Is Neil’s guitar in E standard?
I asked Neil and he said that he played in D standard, hope that helps!
