  • Our gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi National Park was spectacular. It is one of the most incredible experiences one can have in life. Trekking into the jungle for a few hours feels like nothing once you reach the reward.
This is vlog number one in our HashtagAfrica series. We'll be highlighting some of the best experiences in Africa.

Yeah it was awesome. We ended up going to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park instead of Bwindi and we had the whole gorilla group to ourselves. Thanks the video

I would keep trying the UWA. They are the ones issuing them and will often have first hand info on availability.

I feel sorry for the Gorillas they are invading their privacy

    • @TheWorldPursuit

Hey Ann, I understand why you may feel this way. However, if it wasn't for tourists all of the Mountain Gorillas would be gone. The locals in the area are extremely poor and as a result, have clear cut the land surrounding the national park leading to severe land degradation. If was not for the tourism dollars used to protect the gorillas and provide locals much-needed jobs we'd have none of them left. Also, not all of the gorilla families in Bwindi are visited, it is only a few habituated families that are visited an hour a day.
