  • In this first installment of Firestone’s Made in Des Moines series, the women and men of the ag tire plant share their first-hand experience with the hard work that goes into building a product that they can take pride in. Since 1945, generations of Iowans just like these individuals have dedicated themselves to building tires that keep the farmers of the world moving in the field with as little interruption as possible. This is their story.

So you don't like unions, huh. Interesting. There have been excesses indeed. But all in all they have advanced societal norms.

My dad worked here, if it was a nice union film we would complain about the company gutting their pension plan.
