  • Weighted averages give people, including my friend Zack behind the camera, the heebee-jeebee's. That's because they're hard core word problems, involve charts and tables, and even call upon our sense of logic and common sense.
And yet, all those reasons make them the perfect opportunity for demystification. In this video, we dive into average speed, average time, and we even tackle the juice concentration problems! (gulp, literally). Those are the problems that involve mixing different concentrations of liquids, to reach a desired goal of a certain percentage. You'll see; it's the first problem we do.
Thank you for working hard to make math not only manageable, but connectable as well. YAY MATH!

Math was the biggest cause of anxiety for most of my childhood and even university years. Here I am at 37 suddenly wanting to learn math without feeling that anxiety. This is a miracle. I might just go get another degree now. Thanks.

I hate math and it plays no role in my life since graduating, but I subscribed anyway because I like your attitude. Let’s see if I end up learning something!

Hey Robert I use to watch your videos all the time when I first started getting back to college. They were very helpful for algebra, trig and pre calc.. I’m just curious is there any reason why you don’t do videos covering higher level mathematics like calc, Dif Eq, or linear algebra?

can you solve an RTD question if you only know the distance of the question and have to find both rate and time? like say if you had a distance between two cities for example could you find the time and rate?

I wish you had classroom to teach, you are in your environment there. We have to set you up with an online video class room. Video it the same way, but have the set amount of students with their audio coming in like in your old videos. Then just post it to TH-cam when done.

He has so many kids now, the life is being drained from him. I see it to, but give him a break. Being a father comes first for him, a teacher second.
